(Seeing as I 1.) suck at coming up with themes and 2.) am running out of theme ideas, I decided to take A.A.'s incredibly genius and simple advice of creating a theme suggestion thread. I know we've been using the Discussion Thread for this for the longest time, but sifting through all the other posts to find people making theme suggestions gets very tedious, trust me :wacky:)

So, without further ado:

1.) Please post your theme ideas in a numbered system, i.e.:

Ex:

1.) White Flowers
2.) Pink Flowers
3.) Red Flowers
4.) Blue Flowers

and etc. etc. if you have multiple theme ideas. It makes it easier to sift through.

2.) Discussion is encouraged.

Post away. :dave:

Theme Suggestion's if they've been used before feel free to ignore the copies.

1.Soul Theme,Make a Ghostly form or a elegant heavenly type

2.Water/Ice Theme-Bring Water or Ice's Beauty out

3.Goddess Theme-A Simple theme making a Goddess

4.Hell Theme-Something Dark,Bloody,or something

5.Redemption Theme

6.Justice Theme

all I have atm but if you want to use one at some point feel free

1. Pick a member's user name.
2. Typography
3. Favourite Colour (Mark's already done this for upcoming week.)
4. A specific game character.
5. Abstract
6. Resource pack.

Ex. about #6: Basically, the SOTW/AOTW maker makes a pack with resources. 2 renders, 2 stocks, 3 C4D's, 3 Textures, 2 Fonts (You can provide 2 from DAFONT.)

Entrants will only be allowed to use SAID resources. Either Ewan or Ariana has said something along the likes to me in the Clans. I think it's a very refreshing idea. Little bit of effort gathering, but it's something that could come back repeatedly. Seeing you put together different resources every once in a while.

If this is a succes, and it's too much work, I am willing to help put together packs UNLESS I'm entering. :wacky:

Ps. Resource packs are Photoshop and GIMP friendly. :ryan:

Well, about time we did this! :wacky: I've made several in the past, so I repost them. Bold and underlined ones have already been used.

1 Nightclub
2 Mask
3 Smile (creepy or happy, you decide)
4 CG Movies (this would include movies from Toy Story to Advent Children, the movie just has to be 100% CG)
5 Favorite Movie
6 Seven Deadly Sins -- Pride, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth
7 Seven Heavenly Virtues -- Humility, Charity, Kindness, Paitience, Temperance, Diligence, Chastity

21 Superhero
22 Sunset/sunrise

26 Favorite Video Game Character
27 Video Game Character You Would Date
28 Dream car
29 Pet
30 Mythology
31 Boots/Shoes
32 Dragon
33 Phoenix
34 Cover Art (you MUST use the cover art of an album/game/book as the stock of the signature image)
35 Irregular shape (not exactly a pop-out sig, just a sig that has an irregular shape)
36 Demotivational Poster (yes, this isn't so much a SIG as it is a DP. It'll be FUN!)

More will come later. ^_^

A Theme I've always loved is Mythology. Such diversity, and many types of mythologies out there, it presents itself as not only one of the most diverse, but probably most inspirational themes out there. :ryan:

1. Favorite Century
2. Favorite B-Rated Movie
3. Favorite War
4. Favorite James Bond Actor
5. Marvel Character Vs. DC Character(basically a sig displaying a Marvel character Vs. a DC character)

Just a few. I think you should just get ridiculously creative. I would love to see what people can come up with if you use outrageous themes.

I think kiras list is really really good. Things like favourite war, soul and water ice themes are wayyyyy to out there and complicated for things like sotw.

Just a few that came to my mind:
Movies
One Stock For All
Album Art
Vector
Vertical Tags

I'm also suggesting maybe a Freestyle theme once a month just to have a break from sticking to themes as GFX artists and also, less hassle for the SOTW hosts.

EDIT:

Just occurred to me now... A recollection theme, maybe? Submit a tag you did in the past month or year. :hmmm:

Um...
1. Peace & Tranquility
2. Fighting
3. Stars
4. Places in the World
5. Historic Figures
6. Running
7. Sports
8. 90s theme
9. 80s theme
10. Lighting
11. tutorials
12. Quotes
13. Dreams
14. Wishes
15. Disney

DETAILS:

2. Fighting Theme: this theme could be just about anything. Whether it's animals fighting, boxers boxing, or parents screaming.

3. Stars Theme: make it about stars or movie stars.

4. Places in the World theme: The GFX artist would find a stock of some place in the world and work around that. Like I'd do Hawaii or something.

5. Historic Figures Theme: An example would be Pocahontas or Queen Elizabeth.

6. Running Theme: Now this theme could be either someone or some animal running or made to look running. or it could be a picture of running paint or something like it.

10. Lighting Theme: Where the GFX artist would focus on lighting more so than anything. this theme would have to include a side by side of before and after.

11. Tutorial Theme: the gfx artist finds a tut on the net and creates a sig to it.

12. Quote Theme: just include a favorite quote and do it up however.

I like Greek Mythology :gasp: I'd go for that one.

How's this for a theme:

Logo -- recreate an existing logo with a creative spin however you want. McDonald's, Starbucks, news channels, game consoles, beer -- whatever you want!

How's this for a suggestion. Let's say I provide an image, like so:

UndergroundCave.jpg

And afterwards the artists will choose to make a sig based on what comes to mind based on the image.

Thoughts? :hmmm:

I think that's a great idea.

But can we use the very same image provided, or do we have to necessarily find another image that comes to our mind when looking at the precursor image?

A sense of place
Everyday objects
Year you were born - Please please PLEASE notice this I missed it /creys

... and I second the idea of the picture prompt, even though I suck at real life etc. >_>;;
