[RP] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra

Atalanta Palaiologos, Annelise Steiner and the Twinsword

After heading to the Air Cabs, it quickly took her over to the Theater District where she assumed their would be more fun to be had. The sound of roaring could be heard from afar. "Guess I was right in coming here."

She began to run out of the Aircab Station and headed straight into the direction of the roar, heading down the bridgeline. She didn't have to walk far, with Twinsword hoping down and grabbing onto the ledge, followed by a large black behemoth coming down and descending into the rotunda of a major theatre nearby. Letting go of the ledge, Twinsword started to catch her breath as Atalanta looked down at the scene, the Behemoth looking up to see new prey. "Well, I was expecting more of a challenge, let's see if this Behemoth can fight good."

Twinsword looked over at Atalanta with a look of shock. "Are you insane?!? It'll tear you apart if you're not..." But the mercenary didn't listen, jumping down and facing the Kaiser Behemoth, her arms extended and ready for battle. Twinsword rushed over to the railing to see what was going on and to jump in to assist when needed. The Kaiser Behemoth rushed forward and charged at Atalanta like a bull, Atalanta grabbed hold of its head and began to hold it back, to the shock of all who was witnessing. Atalanta followed up by using its head to help lift it's body up and slam it to the ground.

The Behemoth itself appeared to be in shock of what just happened. But it quickly rolled over to try and quickly regain the advantage over this mercenary. Atalanta just grinned, 'baring her fangs' if the term was to be used.

Annelise came down the same path just as the Behemoth and Atalanta went over to grapple, and she too looked stunned at the matter of business for a bit, before moving in to intervene. The moment that Annelise jumped into the fray, Twinsword snapped out of it and said, "Hey, that kill is mine!" Before jumping over the railing and moving to take on the Kaiser Behemoth.

Princess Eiko Carol-Fabul of Lindblum

"I mean about Lan. Did you hear about his 'reward'? What do you think he would do to that poor girl? Personally, I think he would laugh it off as a joke and tell her to go back to her family. But I'm not him. So I'm wondering what you would think about it?"

"Perhaps that's just his taste in women. One thing's for sure though, he had better be prepared for some punishment off that giant woman, she didn't seem too pleased with what occurred"

Eiko gulped and nodded at that arrangement, she was a very dangerous person to cross, and looking from what it seems to be a wrestling match between woman and beast, it seemed as if she could probably break the hooded man in two if given the chance.

"Well, I hope that he doesn't win. More for his sake than for the little girl."
----
General Gisale Gesalios

"If that is what you want. Just don't hang around to see Anne or Twin Sword."

Gisale responded calmly. "Don't worry about me. Just stay safe, get the mirror and get out quickly." As soon as Lan left, she decided to move to the next objective, ordered directly by Cyril, and agreed by the Lord-Generals, attack the enemy airship construction yards.

as Stephen fended off a large beast, Stephen heard a feint roar comming from one of the other districts, Pulling hades from it's sheath he headed in the direction of the roar "I need to get in on that" Stephen announced as he sprinted, cleaving a couple of monsters on the way.

the sprint took less than 15 minutes, considering he didn't take the aircab it was quite quick, looking down at a person slamming a Kaiser behemoth, Stephen was surprised momentarily, as others got involved Stephen also pulled out Odin, "here we go" he muttered to himself before volting the barrier of the bridge and landing gracefully next to the other competators "I got this bitch" Stephen announced with a smirk as he unleashed a slash at it's leg, cutting the beast, shallower than Stephen Expected, but it was a start.

Aaron had been resting for some time luckily no monsters have come near him since the last battle, He regained some strength and stood back up walking back up the steps.

"Ehh, I really need to rely on normal attacks from now on... Was a little too gun-ho for the first leg of this..." He said while rubbing the back of his neck.

He hears the crowd's roars of excitement in the distance, he decides to keep moving deeper into Lindblum, As he heads back to the Air Cab he sees a few more monsters blocking the path.

"Great... More of these things..." He spoke aloud before taking a battle stance again.

It looked like there were only a couple Fangs and a Trick sparrow this time, He grit his teeth and ran up to one of the Fangs slamming his swords edge into the beasts forehead, the other Fang tackles Aaron knocking him back into a wall, the dust settles as Aaron dashes again at the other Fang kicking it's jaw forcing it to reel back onto its hind legs he then stabs into its stomach to finish it off.

The Trick sparrow was the last one left alive, it dived at Aaron hitting his head knocking him to the ground, Aaron rub's his head and feels some blood drip down his face, angered by that he stands back up only to see the bird divebomb him once more, Aaron reaches out and grabs the bird by the neck, it flails about trying to escape, Aarons sword glowed red once more and stabbed the bird as he released it.

"Night Sword..." The Bird falls to the ground lifeless.

Lan Ester

Lan picked up the stolen weapon and took off in another direction with an idea in his head. The idea was mainly simple. Search for the heavily guarded area and the mirrors should be there. In essence, it was a simple idea as Lan smiled to himself.

"Search for the mirror eh." Lan muttered as he looked for the guards.

A few minutes later, Lan chanced on a sizable group of soldiers in front of a golden door. It looked like they haven't seen him yet as he ducked behind some vase tables. From where he was looking, almost all of the guards were staring in one direction, the hallway from the doors.

"Hmm. How to get them away from the doors?" Lan whispered as he fingered the flintlock gun in his hand.

An idea struck him as he smiled and edged away from his hiding place and away from the hallway. Finding the closest vase, Lan quickly hid behind some dark curtains and raised the gun. After figuring out how to cock the gun, the green haired pulled the trigger as a loud crack rang out in the somewhat quiet halls. He then tossed the gun away from his hiding spot and waited as murders and large amounts of footsteps rushed passed his hiding spot as he overheard the conversation.

"We'll check the source out. You two will stay here and keep an eye out for anyone heading down this hallway. You there will go to the top of the castle and prepare the firework signal. We need to let Regant Cid know someone is up here. The rest of you guys will locate the intruder. You all have permission to shoot on sight. Make sure you check your target first. We do not want to kill civillians. Understood?" one guard, presumably a captain stated.

"Yes Sir!" the guards exclaimed as the loud footsteps ran off to another direction away from the vault.

Lan quietly got out of his hiding spot and quickly walked down the hallway to the golden vault.
Pulling out the gold key, he inserted it and gave it a quick twist as the lock unlocked and opened up for him. Lan slipped inside as he closed the door enough that it left a small gap. Inside the room, Lan smiled as he saw the mirror he was looking for on the table in the middle of the room.

"Lindblum's mirror. The Fire Mirror of Terra. Just one step closer to what I wished for." Lan muttered as he unknowingly walked forward pulling the trip wire along the way.

----------
Remilia Oveilia

"Perhaps that's just his taste in women. One thing's for sure though, he had better be prepared for some punishment off that giant woman, she didn't seem too pleased with what occurred"

"Well, I hope that he doesn't win. More for his sake than for the little girl."

Remilia looked at the soon to be wrestling match between the giant lady and the beast as Remilia nodded.

"I know for sure that he won't win. As far as I know, I haven't seen him since the festival started and I flew over the whole city just to get here. It's almost as if he didn't want the wish or he wanted something else." Remilia muttered hoping someone got her hidden message.

Lan's not knowing of the tripwire led to him tripping a silent alarm heard from an isolated part close to the roof of the castle. The soldier, who heard this alarm quickly stumbled out the door, running up the stairs and onto the outside of the castle. He knew what was the plan should anyone move to get the mirror.
----
Atalanta Palaiologos, The Twinsword and Anneise Steiner

"Now don't be selfish, buddy. What's not to say that I want to take him?"
Atalanta said in a teasing manner after the robed figure slashed a shallow cut at the Behemoth's leg, which made it wince in pain. Atalanta moved in on the now weakened leg, grabbing it and moving to drag it so that it won't be able to move aside, "Tell ya what, maybe I'll let you kill it, if you do a favor for me..."

As soon as she held the Behemoth at her mercy, the three women heard popping sounds in the sky. "Fireworks, but it not even the evening yet..." Annelise however knew exactly what it meant. Sheathing her sword, she made a dash for the steps. "Hey, where do you think your going?" Anne quickly looked back as she began to head up the steps. "I'm going to do my duty." She would quickly run up the steps and began making her way as quickly as possible to the air cabs. While it wasn't a far distance, the run tired her out as soon as she reached an empty air cab, stopping to catch her breath.

"Good grief, How did father ever run in full plate?"
Anne mumbled as she tried to catch her breath.

"Hey lady, where you plan on going?"
The Cab driver shouted, to which Anne responded, "Take...me...to the castle!"
----
General Gisale Gesalios

Gisale heard the explosions from the fireworks as she began to head down the steps and into the Airship Construction Yards, where it appeared that a new Airship was being built. She studied the ship carefully before being able to deduce it. Walking up to the ship, she heard a voice. "You, stop right there!"

Gisale turned around and saw a Lindblumite guard running towards her."Stand down, we're taking you in for questioning!" The guard moved in to grab the Lord-General by the arm, but Gisale stepped to the side and responded with a sweeping kick that tripped the soldier up and sent him to the ground, hitting his head hard enough to knock him out. Holding the musket on hand, Gisale continued walking towards the ironclad airship, looking to find a way to destroy it.

As Lucia proceeded to the roar origin she spotted Annelise running away from a large monster, presumably the larger game, curious and concerned about her condition Lucia followed after her. Seeing her enter the air cabs she shadowed her inside, observing her from a distance. Seeing no wounds on her she kept herself hidden to see what she was up to. As everything relaxed Lucia began to hear the fireworks from outside, it seemed strange considering the hunt hadn't finished yet...

---------------------------

"That's a possibility, though maybe he knew he wouldn't win and figured he'd kidnap her instead? It's not like we know much about him yet so he could be into anything" Ricard turned to Eiko, gently placing a hand on her head, holding his palm over the area her horn used to be "I wouldn't worry about him, he sure seems to be good at keeping out of sight if nothing else"

(Sorry about the delay)
Robert Crescent

Robert heard the fireworks going off as he slew several fangs. His suspicions were right: if they weren't going to launch an attack from without, they'd infiltrate from within. Robert took off from the battle fields and began darting across the rooftops towards the castle.

When he arrived to the closest area to him, the airship docks, he could hear the sounds of a small fight off in the distance, further inside. What the Burmecian saw was something he wasn't prepared for. However, it seemed he would have to face off against what he thought at one time as an ally. If Annelise didn't know about her now, she'd be crushed when she found out.

Robert drew his lance and pointed it at Grisgale. "I see. You faked your own death. I guess I was wrong about you on more than just one count. You really are in bed with the enemy, aren't you?" Robert spoke calmly as he looked at the General and the unconscious troops she had dispatched. "Either you start answering some questions or we'll settle this the old fashioned way."

Annelise Steiner and General Gisale

The fluttering of an air cab heading into the castle rung in Gisale's ears, drowning out the cheers of the people, unknown that the mirror will be stolen and their prototype airship destroyed...then she heard a familiar voice.

"I see. You faked your own death. I guess I was wrong about you on more than just one count. You really are in bed with the enemy, aren't you?"

The Lord-General sighed, and lowered her head, closing her eyes in response. She then gave Robert a side glance, saying in a calm manner "In a way, yes. Think of me however you like, it does not change the price of tea in Treno." As Gisale turned around she saw the young Burmecian Knight, as serious as ever.

"Either you start answering some questions or we'll settle this the old fashioned way."

"Since we will end up fighting no matter how it will turn out, it would not really matter. Nonetheless, you deserve the right to know, not just you, but her." Gisale said, looking at a physically startled but surprisingly calm Annelise. "You....traitor..." Anne said in a timid voice, seeing her mentor not only alive, but also with the enemy. She knew from Lan, but even now, the Alexandrian Knight still could not believe it.

"Steel yourself child...War is no place for you to be scared."
Gisale said sternly and calmly, reprimanding her former student.
----
Princess Eiko Carol of Lindblum

"I know for sure that he won't win. As far as I know, I haven't seen him since the festival started and I flew over the whole city just to get here. It's almost as if he didn't want the wish or he wanted something else."

"That's a possibility, though maybe he knew he wouldn't win and figured he'd kidnap her instead? It's not like we know much about him yet so he could be into anything. I wouldn't worry about him, he sure seems to be good at keeping out of sight if nothing else"

However, Eiko saw it differently, and she scowled at the knight for not seeing the picutre. "Maybe not, but I'm afraid he might be going after something else." Eiko began hastily walking back into the castle to find out if the mirror was stolen.

Remilia Oveilia

"Maybe not, but I'm afraid he might be going after something else."

Remilia nodded, secretly happy that Eiko figured out what she was trying to say.

"I'll send some help ahead to slow him down. Come, guardian of Hell, raise your three heads and heed my command. Cerberus!" Remilia called out as the gates of hell appeared behind her and Cerberus came out.

The red haired summoner pulled out Lan's robe as she held it out for Cerberus to smell. A few sniffs later, Remilia nodded and gave a command.

"Cerberus. Locate him and keep him busy until we reach Lan. Don't kill him though." Remilia muttered as the three headed dog rushed off to the castle to seek the genome based on his smell.

"Ricard, let's go. We have to keep Lan from getting that mirror." Remilia called out as she ran ahead of Eiko.
-------
Lan Ester

Lan heard fireworks go off as he walked up and grabbed the mirror. Turning around, Lan saw the wire on his legs. Connecting the two together, Lan groaned.

"Great. Now they know I'm up here." Lan muttered as he ran out of the room.

The two guards turned and saw him.

"Freeze!" the two guards exclaimed as they both fired off a shot.

Both shots missed as Lan threw the mirror at one of the guard. It hit the guard square in the face as Lan rushed up and punched the other guard, knocking them out. Lan grabbed the mirror and just had time to run towards the elevator before a three headed dog jumped in front of him and roared at him

"Great. A summon. I'm going to guess this is Remilia's." Lan muttered as he backed up as a scream was heard that rang out all three floor levels.

"The mirror has been stolen! I repeat, the mirror has been stolen! Apprehend the thief and retrieve the mirror."

"Great. This just gets better and better." Lan grunted as he put on a claw in his non mirror holding hand and prepared to fight against Cerberus.

Robert listened to Grisgale, his lance still at the ready. "Yes, though I think the one who deserves the explanation the most is Annelise. Oilvert is bringing death and destruction to a great number of people, including their own numbers. And all over these mirrors. Terra is a wasteland. My mother was there when Kuja leveled the planet's surface and all life upon it. This world has just recovered from Kuja's madness, and now we have another blood thirsty tyrant wishing to bring war to these lands once more. So why side with them?" he asked in a calm and firm tone of voice, every fiber of his being ready for combat in case she began to attack them. However, despite all the betrayal she had brought about, he doubted she would be so dishonorable as to attack them before explaining herself.

Annelise Steiner and General Gisale

Theme: The Queen of Oeilvert

"Yes, though I think the one who deserves the explanation the most is Annelise. Oilvert is bringing death and destruction to a great number of people, including their own numbers. And all over these mirrors. Terra is a wasteland. My mother was there when Kuja leveled the planet's surface and all life upon it. This world has just recovered from Kuja's madness, and now we have another blood thirsty tyrant wishing to bring war to these lands once more. So why side with them?"

Gisale closed her eyes and nodded, "Of course, you've made a valid reason as to why. Even I wonder sometimes why I went back to side with him..."

"Wait, 'Went back?!?'"
Anne looked at Gisale, surprised at the response.

"I knew Cyril long before he became King of Oeilvert. I've have seen him through the civil war that put him on the throne...and I admit that he has strayed further from his ideals than ever before..."
Reaching into her outfit, Gisale pulled out a Coral Ring, attached to a necklace of some sort, looking down at it, she said calmly. "It's funny, how old trinkets between old lovers help keep you alive."

[OOC: @Bathoin Apologies for my absence - especially after having interacted with your character]

Alleria

The memories of the last night was hazy. All she could remember was having went on to a tavern and going crazy on the booze. She vaguely remembered moving around with someone though and for a brief moment, she was checking out her room. To her relief, it seemed that nothing regrettable had happened after all. The last thing she wanted to happen did not happen. Heaving a sigh of relief, she got off the bed walking towards a bathroom to wash up.

Her head was still throbbing and her senses were dull, but she seemed to be hearing some sort of noise from outside the inn. It was then she remembered the Festival of the Hunt. Grabbing a towel, she walked towards her room window and looked out at the streets. Although it was quiet outside her room, there were bloodstains on the ground. Directly opposite in another building, there was a crowd staring out, trying to watch any action that would unfold before their eyes.

Yet all seems quiet for now. Perhaps the action has passed, thought Alleria to herself as she sat back down on her bed. No matter, I do not have to participate in this entire event anyway.

Laying back down on her bed, she decided to rest for a little while longer.

Robert listened to Gisale, biting his tongue. She knew the ship would be attacked, and that all of those on board would die either from the crash or from the 'clean up crew', including her own student Annelise. However he kept himself from lashing out that fact or letting his emotions cloud his mind.

"If even you can see that what he's doing is wrong, then you shouldn't let your devotion to who he was be blinding you like this. It's quite clear that Cyril is gone. Whoever he was, that man is already no more. His heart has been killed, either by greed, by power or by delusion. And if you're doing this in some half-baked scheme to get him back to the way he was, you're putting all of the kingdoms of the world in danger, because things never always go according to plan. Quite often they backfire and you help feed the flame rather than dousing it." he spoke calmly as he kept himself focused an poised. "Because from where I'm standing, your Cyril is just another Brahne. According to aunt Garnet, she was once one of the most loved and respected of rulers. Then her heart was poisoned with greed and powerlust, so strongly that she even tried to have her one and only adopted daughter put to death simply because she was no longer needed. And do you remember what happened? Her true self never came back until she was laying dying on the beach. Is that the fate you want for Cyril?"

Robert remained calm and focused, even though there was pure rage in his heart for everything that was occurring, especially over how Annelise herself was betrayed. "You still have a chance to do the right thing. Leave Oilvert, just as Twinswords and Amarant has and help us put an end to this war. Don't help Cyril on his path to bloodshed and madness. If you truly do love him as he was before this, then help us stop him before he's too far gone." he spoke.

Annelise Steiner, The Bishop and General Gisale

"If even you can see that what he's doing is wrong, then you shouldn't let your devotion to who he was be blinding you like this. It's quite clear that Cyril is gone. Whoever he was, that man is already no more. His heart has been killed, either by greed, by power or by delusion. And if you're doing this in some half-baked scheme to get him back to the way he was, you're putting all of the kingdoms of the world in danger, because things never always go according to plan. Quite often they backfire and you help feed the flame rather than dousing it."

Those words stung, but a part of Gisale's heart knew he was telling the truth, all of it was true.

Gisale said nothing, just looking down solemnly with her fists clenched.

"You still have a chance to do the right thing. Leave Oilvert, just as Twinswords and Amarant has and help us put an end to this war. Don't help Cyril on his path to bloodshed and madness. If you truly do love him as he was before this, then help us stop him before he's too far gone."

Suddenly, the four of them heard clapping coming from the top of the prototype airship. Gisale and Anne looked up and found the source of that clapping. "Well done, rat boy. I thoroughly enjoyed your riveting speech you made to our so called 'Queen of Oeilvert.'"

"The Bishop..." Annelise said as the other Lord-General jumped from the high perch and landed on her feet besides Gisale. The Bishop laughed and spoke, "You've gone soft in your years living among the Alexandrians, Lady Brandish. You still care too much for those foolish people, not realizing that they were in the same position then as we are in now."

"And you should take care not to let your arrogance and bloodlust kill you...Rose."

"You have some nerve for calling me by my real name, Lord General, and you..."
The Bishop pointed at Robert and Anne, the latter finally drawing her sword. "I haven't forgotten the defeat you handed me back on the mountain, for that I will make sure I will have your heads as trophies..." The Bishop chuckled then laughed before saying, "But this time, I won't be doing it alone..." She would snap her fingers and from out of nowhere, a series of multiple airships arrived over Lindblumite airspace, moving to bombard the city as air raid sirens began blaring and screams of people began to be heard. "This time, Lindblum will be nothing more but a memory."

Gisale looked out to see the airships as they began bombing the city. "You insolent fool, we're not here to harm innocent people, wasn't that Cyril's intention?"

"Hmph, you're even more out of touch than I thought, Brandish. Do you think I would listen to Cyril's council to deal with his enemies? I would rather see them wiped off the map!!!!"

Aaron got inside the area and spoke with the guard on the status of the competition.

"Hows the other districts doing?"

"Well a few players have gone back to the castle in a hurry over something, but the festival is still going on..."

"Crap...I'm always late to the party..."

"Party..?

"Nevermind just send this cab to the Castle in a hurry!"Aaron yelled out before jumping into the Air cab.

The Air cab launches out and speeds towards the castle, The cab finally stops at the Station outside of the Airship Dock, Aaron rushes out of the cab and runs into the castle, he makes the turn and runs up the staircase hearing talking as he climbed.

As he stopped at the top he saw Robert & Annelise talking with someone with their weapons in hand.He ran up to them and stood at Roberts side.

"What's going on Robert?"

Aaron kept his sword while standing by them as support.

Remilia Oveilia

A large shadow overtook them as Remilia stopped. Looking up, the summoner's eyes widen as she saw a large amount of airships bombing Lindblum. One shell headed their way as she tackled Eiko out of the shell's way.

"This isn't what Lan said this mission was. It was supposed to be a stealing mission." Remilia muttered getting up.

"Eiko, can you deal with the ships? We'll find Lan." Remilia muttered as she rushed toward the castle.

Remilia soon reached the castle as she heard some speaking.

"Hmph, you're even more out of touch than I thought, Brandish. Do you think I would listen to Cyril's council to deal with his enemies? I would rather see them wiped off the map!!!!"

Behind her, Cerberus appeared behind her after the bombing has started. Remilia smiled as she walked out to the opening with Cerberus following. It was then that she saw two of her ex-commanding. Bishop and Brandish.

"So it looks like two of my ex-commanding officers are here. It's nice to see you two. Although I'd prefer Bishop to be less then healthy if you can." Remilia said with a fake smile.

Cerberus leapt in front of Remilia and roared at the two generals.

"Cerberus would like to slake his hunger with your corpse." Remilia muttered.
-------
Lan Ester

A loud explosion was heard as
Lan looked around. Cerberus turned and leap away from him, down the elevator shaft. Looking confused, Lan shrugged as he grabbed the Elevator and took it to second floor. Quickly following Cerberus, Lan soon saw Cerberus just passing into the Airship room. Peeking into the room, he saw Bishop and Gisale there. Lan quickly ducked back a bit. Grabbing a random curtain, Lan cut a decently sized mask and tied it around his nose and mouth. With that tied in place, Lan grabbed the mirror and walked out of his hiding spot.

"Commander Brandish. I have secured the mirror. Commander Bishop?" Lan muttered in a monotone as he walked over to the two generals while keeping a tight grip on the mirror.

Robert watched as the one from before, the one called Bishop appeared. Her actions, he felt, was exactly what was needed to snap Gisale back to the right path. To show her just how far her side had morally fallen. "Now is the time to choose, Gisale! Will you allow this needless bloodshed to continue, or will you fight for the sakes of those who's lives will be needlessly destroyed if we fall? This is your story, your life!" he spoke before priming himself to strike.

His eyes focused on the summoner, his new lance ready to inflict the curse of Silence, a magic that was infused with the lance when it was created. "And as for you hideous wench, this time not even your magics or summons will save you from the full bite of my lance!" he spoke before lunging at full speed at the Bishop in his jump, aiming to strike at her chest with a Lancer strike. He knew the woman relied on magic, and between Lancer's ability to drain health and mana, and his new lance's chance to inflict Silence, he believed that if he could shatter the summoner's main means of attack, he would be able to put an end to her.

The Bishop, General Gisale and Annelise Steiner

"Now is the time to choose, Gisale! Will you allow this needless bloodshed to continue, or will you fight for the sakes of those who's lives will be needlessly destroyed if we fall? This is your story, your life!"

The Brandish looked at Robert in a serious look, as if she was going to engage in battle soon.

"And as for you hideous wench, this time not even your magics or summons will save you from the full bite of my lance!"

"Then bring it, you rat-tailed bastard!"
The Bishop said, getting into a fighting stance of sorts, as soon as Robert jumped into the air, and aimed down for the Bishop, the Lord General jumped back, landing back onto the side of the ironclad airship. "Heh, too slow!"

As soon as Robert got within range of Gisale, she drew her sword and said softly so only the Burmecian can hear. "Robert...I will stand against Cyril, but I'm doing it on my own terms, and that means I will stay with Oeilvert for now. Believe me as an enemy for now, but I will explain when next we meet." With that she began walking down the path, watching Lan, disguised as a rogue with the mirror come by. Anne turned around and looked in surprise at the man who had the mirror in hand

"Commander Brandish. I have secured the mirror. Commander Bishop?"

"Go, I'll cover your escape."

"No, I won't let you get away."
But before Annelise could even move too far as to engage Lan, Gisale quickly ran forward and jumped over Annelise, bringing her claymore weapon down on Annelise, who quickly countered with her broadsword. "If you are going to get the mirror, you must face me first."
----
The Twinsword and Atalanta Palaiologos

"Damn!" Twinsword said as bombs and cannon fire wrecked the Theater District. One such cannonball struck and obliterated the Kaiser Behemoth, forcing Atalanta back.

"What the...what's going on?" One of the competitors said looking up, but both Twinsword and Atalanta knew. "The Oeilvert Army...here?!?"

"Looks like it...Twinsword, I'm going to look for Vanessa. Go find and protect the Regent and his family!"

Twinny nodded and began running towards the air cab station, now besieged by Oeilvert soldiers.

----
Eiko Carol-Fabul and The Ninja

As Eiko made her way into the castle proper, she encountered two Lindblumite soldiers, who rushed towards her. "Princess, thank god you're safe!"

"I know, but there's no time, we must hurry and find the mirror."
The guards nodded and began to escort Eiko to the mirror's location. Suddenly a glass broke, safely unheard from a cannonball that directly hit the castle. A few moments later, one of the guards just dropped flat on his face, a small blade protruding from the back of his neck, and a cloaked figure appeared from behind his corpse.

"Stay back, we'll protect you Princess!" The guardsman charged, holding his sickle blade high up into the air. The Ninja saw the move coming and as the blade came down, he sidestepped, purposely making him miss narrowly. This was followed by a palm strike, with hidden blades protruing from his wrists. The blades pierced into his chest and in his heart. The Ninja looked down at the guards fading eyes, helping in closing them as he laid him on the ground. Eiko quickly grabbed her wrench flute and held it in hand as she looked at the cloaked figure.

Lan Ester and Remilia Oveilia

"Go, I'll cover your escape."

"Confirmed. Heading to the extraction zone." Lan muttered as he started to run.

Cerberus leapt and landed in front of Lan, effectively stopping Lan before swinging a head into the Genome. Lan didn't have time to stop or prepare a defense, so he took the full brunt of the attack as he landed just a few feet away beside Giasle. Getting back up, he saw Cerberus lunge at him. He ducked under the summon and slashed the underbelly of the three heading dog, causing it to yelp loudly.

"Cerberus!" Remilia exclaimed as the three headed dog faded away. Most likely to recover.

Pissed was putting it extremely light for how angry she was. So angry that she started to glow.

"I don't care about myself. I can care less what other people say about me. But you had to go and hurt one of my summons!" Remilia yelled out as a blast of light surrounded her, signifying that the summoner has went into trance for everyone to know. Lan shielded his eyes as the light faded. Remilia's appearance didn't change. The only change that occurred was the fact that she suddenly have wings.

"Oh crap. Commander Brandish?" Lan muttered before Remilia raised her Tiger Racket.

Six orbs of light surrounded the summoner before she pointed them at Lan.

"Force Requiem!"

The orbs of light then rushed out toward Lan as he dodged all of them at once.

"That wasn't so bad." Lan muttered as he turned to see the orbs.

To his surprise, the orbs curved up and started to lock on to him again.

"Oh shoot." Lan exclaimed as the orbs missed him again, bursting into nothing.

Without a second warning, Lan took off towards the extraction zone.

"Anne. Go after him. I'll take care of Brandish." Remilia muttered as she started chanting. Soon enough, Zodiark appeared around Remilia's neck like a scarf as she stepped forward. One flap of the wings and she started to hover in place as she looked at Gisale.

As Lucia continued to follow behind Annelise she eventually heard Gisale's voice, not wishing to face her yet she kept herself hidden from view as almost everyone gathered to question Gisale and attack Bishop. As the combat began Lucia moved herself out of hiding, seeing Gisale under attack yet beyond her reach and Bishop, preparing to kill everyone, she couldn't allow it. Though it wasn't till she saw the looming shadows of an airship fleet attacking Lindblum that this fear sunk in. She wasn't about to let Lindblum be destroyed, nor was she prepared to let herself be useless to Gisale anymore, feeling her held back emotions boiling through yet still kept within, seemingly yelling at her to be released she felt a sharp pain pierce her chest followed by a surge of power as light enveloped her "W-what is-" to answer her question she felt her form transform into something stronger, her fur and hair turned golden as her clothing began to rip and tear from the surge of power and her body developed flight and her hands grew sharp and powerful claws. "I-Is this trance!?"

As her body began to settle into this form she took one look at Bishop's airship and knew what to do, floating into the air she charged Bishop's ship and using her magic forced the castle floor to reach up as a huge spike, piercing directly through the ship before slashing through the weakened areas with her claws before flying into the Lindblum sky to greet the Oeilvert army "I won't let any of you destroy my home!"

-------------------------------------

As Ricard followed Remilia and Eiko his eyes looked on to the sky, in the distance his well honed eyes caught a glimpse of an airship, followed by another and another. Having a good idea of what this could be he seperated from the other two and ran to where Regent Cid would be located, in times like these, those in power must be defended if any attack is to be endured, overcome and eventually recovered from.

As he began to near the room Ricard figured the Regent would be located he heard the sounds of several footsteps approaching, footsteps burdened by metal marching in unison, these were either Lindblum soldiers or Oeilvert's invaders. Gripping the hilt of his katana he watched the room they would appear from, preparing to fight them if necessary.
