Mary looked on, waiting for any sign, any instant of movement, some signal that this princess would be coming. There was a large crowd of people, though it was unknown whose most of these people belong to which race. Then again, with Thelma's Fantastic Racism against all other races but their own, it comes as no surprise. Many of the rebels were no different.

Mary thought back to how she joined up with the TRF, how her noble life was brutally taken away by those that she thought were her friends. She always thought herself different from other people, and yet she didn't know why. "What am I, Who am I, really?"

Mary stopped to focus on her objective, to get the princess and get her out before her adversaries would.

Music- What's this?

Laleth gazed out into the blinding crowd. The carriage rode along the bumpy road. The sky was black and smoking from fireworks. She could see houses and buildings lit up with colors of so many different varieties. There were bright spotlights shining from both sides, and yet the carriage pulled on through the city. Crowds cheered and jeered from every side.

Laleth did nothing but stare back blankly into the outside world. She had become a stranger to her new fame. She had never had so many eyes focused towards her before. She could hear music out there in the crowd as the carriage hit a bump in the road which made her bounce. It pulled along smoothly afterwards, but Laleth never got to hear the rest of the song.

She simply sat there in her dress, having lights shined in her face. Hearing people chanting and throwing insults at her. Seeing guards grabbing foolish people bombarding the streets trying to get to her. Laleth did nothing but stare. She could find nothing to say at the moment.

She supposed she would be able to just sit there and reflect upon her life...

"Are you really a Bithian?"

Sophia's heart sank. She didn't think the man could hear what she said. As she turned towards him she had gotten even more scared. What was a demon doing here of all places? Nevertheless she had realised she spoiled a big secret. What was this creature doing traveling with them if it didn't know her true identity? The other lady didn't seem shocked about it.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Sophia said aloud. "I-I'll go!"

With that the girl went running into the crowd. How embarassing! How could she have done that? To her magical idol no less? Sophia's heart sank and another firework exploded in the sky.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arukav sat in his castle chamber gazing out towards his daughter's parade. He would only have to deal with her for one more day until she married his duke. After that the kingdom of Idunblim would be in Duke Fichio's capable hands and he could retire a well rested king.

While staring outwards he heard a knock at the door. "Come in." he spoke roughly.

Melissa, inched inside and as he turned to watch her an expression of disgust spread across his face. "Your highness. I came to talk about the marriage..." Melissa spoke.

She knew Arukav very well and she knew his late wife even better. "She's not ready to marry." Melissa spoke.

"Well it's too bad." responded Arukav. "It's a sacrifice we all have to make for our kingdom at some point in our lives."

"But you could hold off for a few years! You're only a man of fifty!"

"Don't you talk to me in the disrespectful tone or I'll-"

"Kill me?" Melissa finished softly. "Just like you did with her? And now you still take out your rage on your own daughter."

"She's not mine!" Arukav shouted.

He was almost trembling in anger. Oh why hadn't he gotten rid of Melissa too? But he knew that if he had then Laleth would surley not obey. He knew of Melissa's relationship with the girl. Yet he kept his anger under wraps. "There's nothing you can do to convine me otherwise. She will marry." Arukav said angrily glaring at the heartbroken maiden. "Whether you want to or not. Dismissed."

Melissa left the room. Her chest tightened. She could not bar to see a man treat his own daughter like that. Something must be done. Melissa ran down the castle corridor towards Laleth's room...

OOC: Short post until Squee posts his response

Akira

"Oh! I'm so sorry!
I-I'll go!"

Once more, Akira's hand strayed slightly to her sword. Demons were rather unpredictable and who knew what this one would do after figuring out their secret. If the worst situation arises, then the best thing Akira could do was attack the Demon, optimally kill, cause a stir and flee, making it seem like an anti demon attack rather than exposing Rune and herself as Bithia. Even if she was to become a criminal, it was to be the same either way. Best let it be only one of them than both.

Will you now go and expose us to the Thelma authorities?

The question was the figurative flipping of a coin. The moment the demon utters a yes or a maybe, Akira would strike. Her fingers twitched in anticipation, her muscles tensing, ready for the Iai draw.

OOC: Just wondering, but what rank is Reyu?

Remus

"How are ya holding up? You've got to do this job if you want to get far in the military."

Remus had to smile. He was already rather far in the military, being a major general, but he wasn't in the best books with many of the anti - magick officials. That explained his assignments to harsh, border regions and paltry assignments. Still, what Reyu said was correct. If he want to show the others where his loyalty lied, then these kind of missions would indeed help. There was no point in correcting the aide about his rank. He only needed those in the anti - magick faction to know. Anyone else was unnecessary.

I suppose so. It would be good to rise up in the military.

Fireworks were going off as the trio entered the city limits and Remus did have to admit that the festivity made his mind wander a bit. Rather than killing off a person, he would rather walk the streets with Teletha, enjoying the stores and such. Reeling back his attention, Remus jogged up to Ketho.

Sir, should we expect armed escorts from the princess?

OOC: I lost my first post due to power outage, so this is probably not up to par...now...:hmph:

Saethos was kind of shocked at the response he got. Well, when did he not live on the edge? He half expected someone to tell him he wasn't even welcome here. But he never expected this. He helped a use of magic. Oh well, what's done is done. Of course, he would not allow such a mellow apology for not being told, he never did ask. He spoke with a giggle in his tone, "Well I didn't ask for your identities, now did I?" The other girl that had made him aware of who they were began running off with another apology. He tried to shout to her, "Hey, it's fine!" But he wasn't sure if she could hear him with how quick she was to run off like that.

Then turning to the other one that had spoken to him, he laughed. "HAHAHAH! As if I would do such a thing, I'm a DEMON. I'm not sided with the thelmacians! Besides, my loyalty lies with the lowest bidder!" He was afraid of how he had said that. He really did not want to offend them. Then rubbing the back of his head, he continued on to say, "Besides, if you get hostile towards me and I can't hold my own..." Then turning his head and mumbling under his breath, hoping not to let them hear him, he said, "(Not that I couldn't)". He continued on to say, "I could just fly away! Ahaha..."

Dean found himself in an area he was unfamiliar with. He couldn't exactly describe it better, because his vision was still blurry from whatever had happened to him back in his village, and it didn't show any signs of clearing.

He had been on his way back home, when a bright light had surrounded him, and he had ended up here. He shivered in fear and shock. What on earth was going on here? Where the hell was he?

Akira

"HAHAHAH! As if I would do such a thing, I'm a DEMON. I'm not sided with the thelmacians! Besides, my loyalty lies with the lowest bidder! Besides, if you get hostile towards me and I can't hold my own... I could just fly away! Ahaha..."

Akira's shoulder visibly lost the tension. A fight with a demon was not going to be pretty. Rumours in the air was that demon's were extremely powerful and Akira definitely did not want to try this rumour. It was a small break from the hectic day she had. At the very least, their cover was not blown. Ever the stick, Akira gave her formal apology with a bow.

I apologise for my hostile behaviour, but people tend to be a bit sensitive when they find out about our..... tic.

“Besides, if you get hostile towards me and I can't hold my own... Not that I couldn't."

Rune kept silent, smiling as she looked to the demon. She didn’t show it, but she was rather disturbed by his words. Mentally, she made a note to not push him too far for now. As Saethos concluded with a light laugh, Rune giggled along with him. Akira, true to her known habit amongst the Bithians, formally delivered her apology, with a bow as well.

Amused to see this habit of Akira showing up, Rune couldn’t resist smiling lightly as she watched the girl bow. “Although I wouldn’t actually say you need to be this formal,” She said, matter-of-factly. “But I think we owe you this, Mr. Saethos. I apologize for my behavior again, and maybe for Akira, for her excessively formality.”

Recovering her cheerfulness, Rune went over to jab Akira lightly with her elbow. “Let’s get going, shall we?”

OOC: Didn't realize it was my turn, I'm sorry...

After having confirmed that the two ladies were Bithians, he could not help but find himself very lax. The one had very formally apologized while sending a bow his way. At lest he had not offended her. that was his largest worry. As for the one who seemed to be named Rune, she was rather giggly. But she was right, there was no need to be formal. If he had felt it was necessary in any way, he too, would have been formal. But none the less, they both apologized.

"Hey you guys, I swear it's ok. Let's cut the formalities and head fo..." he paused for a second. A few thoughts ran to his head. "Uh...where were you two headed anyway?" He didn't know why he hadn't noticed he didn't know where they were going. Wherever it was, he had nowhere else to be, and following them might be fun.

OOC: It was actually Kevins Turn but oh well...The events system shall be put into place now xD.

Kethos heard someone in the large crowd say the word "Bithian". His muscles tensed. How dare one of them show up to a strict Thelmacain affair? He looked at the two behind him and spoke "I'll be attending other matters for a while. I'll leave the job to you two."

His assistant nodded and he broke away from them. He knew that there would most definitely be magic users in this city somewhere. The more there were, the bigger his reward would be for finding them. Wityh ease, Kethos buzzed in another superior at the military base with an audio device. "This is general Kethos, I'd like to report a possible breach in Idunblime."

"Roger" came the response.

Kethos smiled. At the close of this parade there would be at least two hundred soldiers descending upon this town and weeding out any Bithians to arrest. He looked around for odd characters. Almost immediately he spotted a demon. He could tell mostly because of the eyes. The float of the princess began to pass by. The crowd of citizens around him erupted. Kethos was going to tail this suspicious demon, for he knew that Bithians mostly took shelter in the east where Demons roam...

Mary looked around and saw the Princess's float in view. "Good, I see it, now I got to follow it, find a gap in their defense and move in to take the princess." She thought of the plan in her head. The objective enough is already hard, with security being tight as is, and too-close quarters to use her bow and arrow effectively. Nonetheless, orders are orders.

She quickly left the crowd of people cheering and started walking in the direction of the float. On the way she saw a figure walking in the opposite direction as if he was following someone. Paying no attention to him, Mary continued walking onward.

Akira

“Although I wouldn’t actually say you need to be this formal, but I think we owe you this, Mr. Saethos. I apologize for my behavior again, and maybe for Akira, for her excessively formality.”

Excessively formality?

Akira did not know that she was being excessively so. It was so natural to her to be prim and proper that she did these sort of things without thinking. Rune's comment left Akira dwelling on that thought. Never have given it a thought, Akira now felt awkward and found herself a lack of words to say, in case it turned excessively formal.

I....um... ah....

“Let’s get going, shall we?”

Good idea Rune. Let us make our .... uh lets get going then.

To break the odd air around herself, Akira strode forward towards the crowd. The princess' float began to pass by.

The... "event" will commence soon Rune.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remus
"I'll be attending other matters for a while. I'll leave the job to you two."
Sir?
Before the second word could be uttered, Ketho left Remus and Reyu alone, given the task of finishing the job. With one less person, the assassination was going to be harder, especially without his skills as a swordsmen. They had to formulate their plan fast, so Remus slid closer towards Reyu until he stood right next to her.
Well. Any plans? Opinion on angle of assault?
((OOC: Aw, crappy. ‘Excessively Formality’? Man, mistakes FTW!))
”Good idea Rune. Let us make our .... uh lets get going then. The... "event" will commence soon Rune.”
Nodding in response, Rune proceeded to respond to both Saethos and Akira in kind,” Yes, well, we are heading over to watch the parade.”
A simplistic answer for a complicated truth, but Rune saw no need to further elaborate on their purpose here. As much as the Demon may have ‘no hostile intentions’, he was still a potential threat. It didn’t help that his words earlier about how he ‘could hold his own’ hadn’t been forgotten. In fact, it rubbed off her so significantly she felt herself worrying about the demon as she took the initiative to push through the crowd towards where the float presumably was.
Turning to look over to the two, she grinned broadly as she waved them over. “Come on,” She said. “Rune waits for no one!”
With that, she turned to saunter amongst the people, self-entertained as she did. Her hands clutched her pouch tightly as she did. There was no way she was going to lose it again.
Well. Any plans? Opinion on angle of assault?
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell we can't just walk up to her and grab her!" Reyu pointed out.
Even she knew that an assault in front of many witnesses would not look good for the Thelma image. "She's gonna head back to the castle after the parade which will be over in a few minutes."
Her heart began thumping in her chest. Her performance on this job reflected what her general Kethos would think of her. "We should strike from inside the castle. Nobody else would see us when the door shuts. We'll catch her in the main corridor...Is that okay with you?"
OOC: Uninspired, but my last day to post for the week, so...this is what you end up with...
Saethos listened as the two minorly conversed with eachother. He didn't expect them to totally converse with a demon they had just met. Rune had answered his question to say they were heading to the parade. Upon starting to walk with the two, Saethos noted as she clenched onto her pouch rather tightly. He then spoke up to her, "You know...you don't really have to be so cautious, I can catch more than one thief for you." He was serious but also smiling almost from ear to ear. he felt as though he was trying to help someone, and that was what he enjoyed most...To assist the underdog.
But of course he had no evidence of whether or not these two really were the underdogs, but they did lack the numbers in a place like this. Some people here might even just attack based on their own nationality. But either way, numbers like these, the best they can do is run away if they are discovered unless the number of combatants was reasonable...
Remus
"We should strike from inside the castle. Nobody else would see us when the door shuts. We'll catch her in the main corridor...Is that okay with you?"
Catch her, or stab her there and then on the spot? We can take her to a less secluded area to deal with, but i saw we deal with her and flee. I dont see our escape going to be any trouble at all.
Definitely, even if an alarm is raised, the princess would have been dealt with and by the time they get through the doors to the princess, Remus and Reya should be out the castle already. His own skills are unmatched by any palace guards and he was equally sure of Reya. After all, she couldnt be too shabby if she is Kethos' aide.
In any case, lets make haste to the castle and position ourselves early so that we accustom to the lighting and escape options from there.
That said, Remus began making his way stealthily towards the castle.
Akira
“Come on, Rune waits for no one!”
Had it been a more serious situation, Akira could have almost enjoyed running around the festival with Rune. However, they needed a clear view of the "event". Somewhere a bit higher than the general crowd, but not high enough to be standing out. Maybe one of the many balconies on these shop fronts? Or the roofs of the smaller buildings. There were people already sitting up on them.
Ms Rune! Might i suggest we make our way to the rooftops of one of these two story buildings or the balconies that line the street? We may procure a better view than on level ground, right Sir Saethos?
Mary continued following the carriage, slowly trailing the princess. Despite her being of Thelmacain blood (albeit only partly, according to rumors), if she did not get to her, chances are she will die. Not if the Rebel Front can stop it.
"I wonder if I will be able to save her."
Mary thought. She had doubts, even though she is virtually alone in an extremely hostile environment, it is not a big problem, but her alone in said hostile environment to save a person hated by the Thelmacains, made her wonder if this is a really a suicide mission. "No, I can not doubt myself now." She continued walking briskly towards the castle, which is probably where the carriage is headed.
Sophia spotted a woman following the carriage. Something about her was almost too familiar. Sophia decided to follow this woman out of curiosity when she realised it was the same lady who was in the bar! She couldn't help but feel that the woman was up to something suspicious so she followed in haste.
She tried to keep up with the strange woman and got a slight grip on a book of spells. If she had too she could perform magic for her own safety, but first she wanted to find out what this woman was up to.
<music-Beauty is within us>
Laleth's carriage had finally reached the castle entrance again. Now the festivities of parades and games would go on without her. She wondered who would be sent to kill her. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she exited the carriage and began to head into the castle.
Her room was down the hall. She and tow other guards followed her down until she got to her room. Laleth entered her circular room and sat upon the bed, waiting for her killers to arrive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Revilo lay quietly under the bed. He had been hiding in the room for a while. The assassination couldn't be any easier. He had moved inch by inch to crawl slowly from under the bed. He figured a stab with his fleuret would be quick enough.
"Aren't you going to kil me already?" came the voice of the princess lying facedown on the bed above.
Revilo became confused. She couldn't have been talking to him? "Yes you waiting there under the bed." she spoke once again.
Revilo hesitated before finally noisily getting up and out to face his mark. He looked at the girl. She was wearing a ridiculous dress and curled up into the red sheets on her bed, her chest moving in and out. Revilo drew his thin blade.
"So you don't even say anything..." Laleth spoke yet again. "You just kill and reap the rewards?"
Revilo hesitated. Yes, yes he did just get the job done. It was all he knew. "Makes the job easier." he muttered.
The girl looked up at him. Her makeup had smeared her face black and purple with her tears. She was silently crying but until she looked at him she became wide eyed. She gazed into his eyes. "You don't look like a demon."
"A...what?" Revilo was tired and ready to end her though he wasn't completely without mercy.
"Your smell, I could smell you but you're not a demon." Laleth said drying her eyes. "Could it be that you're like me?"
Revilo did not understand her last words at all but raised his fleuret once more to do the deed. "Your eyes are an odd color like mine..." she said in observation, not even flinching at the raised blade. "You must be half demon then?"
She turned away from him and looked out the window. "Do it quick."
Revilo gripped the Loving Maiden and all it's poison and looked at the young girl. She was braver than most men when it came to death. It was at this moment Melissa, Laleth's maiden came bursting through the doors. "Nooo!" She screamed running towards them.
Revilo grabbed laleth by the neck and held her in front of him, holding his blade to her head. He hated to have to do this.
"Don't hurt her..." the maiden Melissa pleaded.
Revilo could end it all right here, but something was stopping him. He somehow couldn't plunge the blade into this girl. "She's suffered enough, don't hurt her."
"It's okay" Laleth whispered.
She shifted in Revilo's grip to gaze up into his eyes. Her's were yellow and full of longing of wihich Revilo couldn't do. Never had he been unable to kill. With a long hesitation.
"DO it!" Laleth shouted.
Revilo stood frozen upon the floor. His grip was losening. "Why wont you get it over with?" Laleth almost screamed angrily. "Hurry! I'd rather die free than married and used as a pawn in the government's game. Kill me now."
Melissa sat upon the floor now weeping into her hands. Revilo stared and Laleths eyes. The yellow stopped him. He couldn't kill. A sickness began to form in his stomach.
"You coward." Laleth spoke angrily.
Revilo felt rage rise up as he grabbed his balde with a tighter grip. A horn began to sound somewhere off in the distance. It blared loud through the open window to Laleth's room. Revilo could smell trouble. He thrust Laleth away and looked out of the window. Somewhere far off he could hear gunfire. Revilo stood on the windowsill. There was no time to waste on something he couldn't do. "Next time don't be so quick to waste your life. And....if you want to live I suggest you get away from the Thelmacain throne."
Laleth gazed back with a confused look and then Revio jumped out into the night.
<music end>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reyu headed in the castle with the knight. "She should be in her room now...Shall we?" she asked her partner.
She bounced around as she walked humming to herslef. General Kethos would be very pleased.
meanwhile
Kethos stood watching the group intently. They had a demon with them. They were definitely dangerous. Soon the horn would sound and the troops he called in would be on their way to arrest the Bithia and rebela amoung them. He himself would deal with this group alone. He readied his rifle and began to push through the crowd.
Mary continued following the carriage until the people in the crowd started to thin out. Looking forward, she saw the carriage enter the castle gates. "Blast, I need to find a way around these gates." Mary thought as her assigned protection target moved into the castle.
Suddenly she heard footsteps, possibly of someone who was following her. If she was a warrior, like a Thelmacain foot soldier, she could easily get her bow ready, put an arrow on the knock and be ready to threaten the soldier. But if it was a Bithian, she would not be able to react fast enough without her being hit with one of their spells.
Mary decided to continue doing what she was doing, hoping that once she was across the gate, her pursuer would not be able to follow. Taking a few steps back, Mary crouched down for a moment, then began sprinting towards the castle's outer wall. Once within a few feet of the wall, Mary jumped as high as she could, getting a foot on the wall for an added boost. Mary reached for the ledge, and managed to barely get a hold on it.
Climbing up the wall, she looked over to the other side, luckily, there were not many guards in this part of the area. Breathing a sigh of relief, she then said silently, "Good, now to find the princess." Mary jumped down the wall and stealthily looked for a way into the castle.
((OOC: Apologies for the late post.))
“That’s a great idea!” Rune responded, smiling softly as she did. It was an entirely logical decision. On the other hand, it should also be significantly easier for them to stay out of the chaos that would ensue when the parade is concluded- prematurely, provided nothing goes wrong. Changing her direction, she began walking towards a multi-storied building.
She didn’t have to count the number of levels to know that it would provide a clear enough bird-eye view of the event. Looking over to the entrance of the building, which bore a signboard that said ‘Starfall Inn’, she casually waved the group over without looking over to them.
Despite Saethos’ reassurance, she couldn’t help keeping her hands on the pouch. There was just this nagging feeling in her now that she could shake off. ‘Tsk, something feels wrong,’ She thought to herself as she stepped into the inn, stopping to wait for the rest of the group.
Saethos was being waved for. Seems they were headed to the roof like the woman had suggested. He submissively followed. He had nothing better to do, and this spot she chose would be a great view. But Rune continued to hold her handbag. Saethos simply smiled at her. A cautious person like that would usually not have lost her bag in the first place. was this yet another calling of fate for him? Whatever, he was prepared.
The Starfall Inn...He never heard of it. But he did as he was asked. Figuring it was obvious to everyone that he was a demon, he grabbed both the ladies around the waist and said, "Up we go!" and swiftly leaped into the air with one thrust of his wings just high enough to land softly on the ground and let the ladies down. Maybe he was being intrusive, but it was easier than climbing.
