Welcome to The World
The City of Arcadia
Luminacross.jpg

Welcome to "The World" announces to all players that log into the game known as "The World", "The World" is the latest MMORPG That is probably the most expansive and unique game on the market, not only because of its graphics, monsters, events, and unique player designs, but also due to the unique controls players get.

The HMD (AKA Head Mounted Display) Sends the players brainwaves to their in game characters, this gives them a unreal range of motion and control other games can't even come close to, the downside however is that your body in the real world cannot move, and separating the HMD from the player can be fatal. It has received alot of controversy from critics but players love the concept.

It has been around 2 months since "The World" Launched from beta to full release, and in that short time its already amassed well over 1,500,000 players and grows more day by day.

The World itself is massive, it has near limitless areas to explore from forests, to deserts, to underwater maps where you can even swim and not have to worry about oxygen, the events are on a massive player wide level where if the requirement is met, everyone gets the prize if they participate in the event. Players can also make guilds, parties to hunt bosses in dungeons, Fight each other in the Demon Palace Arena, chat with each other, enjoy the games beauty, or explore to find new hidden areas.

Gold is replaced with Soul Stones which are semi-hard to come by, you only get them via quests, events, or Gold Grunty captures.

The First Player Wide Event the game is hosting has begun, players must attempt to kill a Epitaph ( A God in "The Worlds" History ) its known as Skeith, players can join the event by signing up at the Quest shop, when the event happens players will be force warped into a special dungeon where the players must traverse through and defeat Skeith to earn unique items and a massive soul stone prize. Although the real danger in fighting this being is hidden from player views.

Game Master K Enterance

Kuro placed his HMD onto his head and logged in and loaded within the GM Tower.

"Looks good so far, HMD is reading my brainwaves well.. I should make the announcement before I go out."

He puts on his black robe and walks outside the GM tower, he approaches the podium to announce.

Players of "The World" I am pleased to announce that the Player Wide event, "The Hunt of the God" registry has opened, please register at the Quest Shop to get entered, once entered when the event starts players will be force warped into a dungeon and must traverse it to defeat a God known as Skeith, I look forward to you all participating in this event, this announcement will be located on the sign above the GM Tower for those who missed this announcement.

"Phew... Wonder why the higher ups wanted that event pushed so fast.., no matter I guess, I need to get out of this and get to the gate, I wanna explore the town a bit more today." He said to himself gleefully before going back inside.

He removed his robe and used the command console inside the tower to force teleport himself to the Gate to log in like a normal player.

Opening Post done

Today will be the first of many for new friendships, dangers, and thrills. This will be the first time Ryoga, the controller behind Ryoku will have logged in to The World ever since the beta stage finished. Grabbing the bulky looking HMD, Ryoga laid down on his bed and proceeded to attach it to his head. The equipment felt heavy at first, but once he gets used to it, it will be light as a feather.

Sleeping in the real world, but in virtual reality, he is traveling to another world, one with limitless capabilities and wonders. He will be logging on the virtual reality MMO known as The World.

Ryoga opened his eyes, only to be in a plane, where there is nothing, except a giant log-in board.

The board read:

Game ID:
Password:
[Extras]

Ryoga touched the log-in board, and a few seconds later, a message telling him to enter in his Game ID and Password appeared. Ryoga spoke his Game ID and Password out loud.

"ID, RyoSaiga Password, Hayabusa"

Character ID: Ryoku
Password: ********

**Welcome, Ryoku**

The log-in board beeped and did some other computer like noises, entering in both fields. Seconds later, the board said Welcome, and a massive gate, leading to the actual MMO itself appeared from the ground.

Ryoga took a step forward, Ryoga left, and Ryoku took his place.

From there, Ryoga's appearance changed, he was now Ryoku, his in-game character and avatar. He now donned a Black Trench coat, white top, black pants and two Japanese weapons, one on his right hip, a Katana, and one on his lower back, a Wakizashi. He was instantly transported into The World's main area, Arcadia, materializing from codes.

"Well, that was easy as ever" He said to himself, looking around, while as many other players were logging in. He quickly glanced from left to right to seek out anyone he might know in the real world.

A few minutes later, Ryoku's interface menu was glowing with a new message. He clicked on the glowing message icon, it seemed to be from a Game Master. Ryoku read the announcement, a new event was to take place sooner, or later, known as The Hunt of the God. Having read the finer details, Ryoku closed his interfaced and started to walk around randomly.

Ami: First Login

“This is the day,” these were the first words that Yuki says as she drove her wheelchair in through the front door of her adapted home, in the other hand, a case for a game can been seen. “The World” is a game that she fell in love with after seeing some TV Adverts on the television a few nights before as the game got a rather heavy advertising campaign in the country she lived in, Japan. In her school bag was the HMD, A bulky and thick device that plugs in via the USB port of the pc, and then sat on the player’s head. After closing the door, Yuki drove her wheelchair onto the lift that took her up to the top of her stairs, being so excited; she almost crashed at the other end.

After finally settling down in her room and booting up the laptop, Yuki Positioned her wheelchair under the large wooden desk at the end of her double bed so that she could get comfortable while playing. “I wonder if my Laptop will be able to handle this kind of game” Yuki thought to herself as she typed in her computer login details. After booting up chrome, she went onto the game’s website to create an account. “I should think of a good secure password for me to use”, after thinking, she decided on the password spinabifida, this was the disorder that Yuki was born with and bounded her to the very wheelchair which she is currently sitting on to this day. After finishing off the signup form, Yuki finally installed the game onto the pc and booted it up. She plugged in the HMD into the last USB Slot that was free in her laptop, and slowly put the bulky HMD onto her head.

After the game loaded, all that could be seen is black, it looked like a world of ‘nothing’ like all the life that was in the world just suddenly got sucked out by a black hole. Then, a single blue box appeared:

Username:
Password:

Confused on how this was done, Yuki tried to touch around the area to see if there was a way to pull up some sort of virtual keyboard, after trying for almost 5 minutes, Yuki said to herself “How do I even logon, I really should have read the manual before booting the game up!” The game then spoke saying “Please Speak your ID and Password,” “OHHHHHH, that how you login, I should have guessed” Yuki mumbled to herself.

“ID Ami, Password spinabifida”, the blue box disappeared and changed to a spinning cursor with the message ‘logging in’, after the login, Yuki was lead onto the character creation screen. “Let’s make a character that looks a bit like myself” Yuki said to herself, with that in mind, Yuki went on to create her character that would be known as ‘Ami’. Yuki gave Ami long grey hair, and gave her a fringe that would cover one eye. Next she gave Ami a white shirt and a red blazer to give Ami a school uniform look, as Yuki spent a lot of her time in her school clothes. She then went on to give Ami a red school like skirt, grey tights and black school like shoes. Finally for accessories she gave Ami two ribbons, one to tie her hair up, and another on her shirt, like Yuki has on her own school uniform.

Yuki clicked confirm for her character, “Finally, I’m going to be in the game, and I’ll be able to act and behave and do what normal teenagers do.” Yuki has always put herself down due to her disability, separating herself from the rest of her classmates as she considered herself to not be ‘normal’. After a final breath, she clicked on the Play button, and all of a sudden, Yuki features slowly disappeared, changing into a wireframe version of her. The data slowly formed and changed her shape, until finally coming together to form ‘Ami’, Yuki’s In-Game Persona.

‘Arcadia’s BGM Theme plays in the background’

Finally, Ami landed and appeared in what looks to be a very busy city, with huge skyscrapers reaching up to the sky, and laser like lights moving around. Just ahead of her she could see stairs that lead to a statue of sort. It had 3 circles inside each other with a sphere like object in the centre, making it look like a planet of sort with 3 rings. “Wow, this city is huge, it looks a bit like Tokyo, but with more lights, and more people”

“AHMN” was suddenly heard by everybody in the area, upon hearing this, Ami turnt herself around to see a guy dressed in a black robe, the guy goes on to say:

“Players of "The World" I am pleased to announce that the Player Wide event, "The Hunt of the God" registry has opened, please register at the Quest Shop to get entered, once entered when the event starts players will be force warped into a dungeon and must traverse it to defeat a God known as Skeith, I look forward to you all participating in this event, this announcement will be located on the sign above the GM Tower for those who missed this announcement.”

“Hunt of the God, sounds rather tough, will I be able to join that just after signing up” she said to herself in a rather low tone. “It does not seem urgent, I think I got time to look around for a little while, I want to see more of this beautiful city anyway” Ami said rather cheerfully. As she walked off, she noticed something different about her skirt, a weapon of sort seem to be hanging down either side of her waist. She slowly pulled out the weapon to reveal 2 Silver daggers with a curved blade as well as curved handles. “Wow, these look amazing, wonder if these will be useful at all,” just as she said that, one of the daggers slipped from her hand and made a rather loud bumping noise as it landed on the floor. As she picked it up she said to herself “Opps, better be careful, let put these away and start looking around town.”

Ami put the daggers back and went off to explore the town further.

Kuro | Re-log in

In order for Kuro to force teleport himself to seem like he logged on he had to log off via GM Console to disable his Administrator rights. Kuro logged out and returned to the real world and re-started the game.

When the game restarts Kuro is hovering at the login screen.

Username:
Password:

"Username: KuroSohm" "Password: 0718201" He spoke it aloud, he was never one to use worded passwords since they're easy to decipher from knowing the person some.

A Large Blue Circle enabled him to move forward, as he stepped into the circle and passed through his real body became his characters body, like always he slowly floats down till his feet touch the floor of Arcadia. Kuro looks around the Gate and sees that the game is already populated with various players.

"Surprised this game got so many players in the short amount of time of its launch.." He spoke to himself, casually walking towards the nearby Quest Shop.

As he walks up to the counter the AI greets him like normal, he registers for the "Hunt of the God" Quest, the NPC wishes me luck.

"Well signed up, I hope this event was worth pushing so far, I really don't want to deal with raging players over a rushed event..." He sighed to himself while walking back to the gate.

Gozen Matabei

Time Off...

Yaaawwwnnnnnnnnnn~~~~~~

Light shone through the thin blinds and spilled into the room via small gaps between the window and the cloth. A rhythmic horror screaming of a girl chimed throughout the room. From within the crumpled cover of the futon, a hand shot out and swung lazily around until it found the source of the noise, her alarm clock.

Ugh.... Meiko... you morbid little girl....

Only her dorm friend, Meiko, was morbid enough to gift someone an alarm clock with that tone for the alarm. However, it did the job and Matabei sat up from within the tangles of her bed with another mighty yawn and stretch before getting up and going about her morning rituals. Brushed her teeth, washed her face and comb out the unruly strands of hair that rebelled against her. The day was good. Besides the customary banging of her head on the top of the toilet door (always forgetting she wasn't quite average sized), it was sunny and there was no class, no obligations. That meant time for something that she has been into lately... "The World". Since the VR game made the player go into a semi sleep like state, Matabei made sure everything was locked, her ventilation windows were open and that any gas or non essential electrics were turned off. If the room went up or got broken it while she was out of it, it wouldn't be funny. With her checklist done, Matabei settled back onto her futon and placed the big HMD over her head. In an instant, the login screen bounced out right in front of her.

Game ID:
Gozen Matabei

Password:
Onnabugeisha

Welcome, Gozen Matabei

Matabei stepped out and appeared inside Arcadia. Her character was made to resemble herself to a rather high degree, so when she did materialise, her height and size along with her gear, took some people by surprise. By habit, she ran her hand up along her headdress, pulling both pheasant tail down whilst twiddling with the ends. It was good to be back.

Well now... i wonder if any of my friends are on...? Probably not... they're most likely out in real life.

Even though it was her friends that introduced her to the game, Matabei was the most fervent about it. Since that was the case, Matabei began to wander around the spawn area of Arcadia, looking at new faces and the mass of gamers that has gathered. Since there was that many new players and the number of people that was in Beta was so little, she couldnt spot anyone she might have known then. Still, it was impressive that there are that many players that have taken up the HMD helmet. Her thoughts were interrupted by an announcement at the GM tower. The black robed figure was one she recognised from the Beta, and instantly paid attention.

Interesting. Thats quite and event for it being so early since release. Might as well sign up first since its so close.

Matabei picked up the pace and power walked to the Quest Shop. Given that the event had just been announced, there wasn't such a big crowd... yet. It was exactly what Matabei had hoped for. Quickly, she put her name down and left before the store got mobbed. With some free time, Matabei pondered on what she can do. While she could go out and solo some mobs, it was more fun with othe people.

Maybe I can help a new person... There are a lot of them around...

Anzu
Re-Login

As the girl closed her eyes she feels her consciousness swept forward. She had only got the game two months ago and already she was having a lot of fun. "The World" was an amazing game, and she just couldn't get enough of it. As the girl opened her eyes she stared at the giant log-in screen. Anzu smiled and spoke out her username and ID.

"Username: AnzuPalmette Password: lagloriosa"

The log in screen spelled out the username, and even included the capitalization to it. **Welcome Anzu.** There were a series of beeping sounds as the HUD set up to load the massive amounts of data required to login. A blue circle formed around her feet, with another around her waist and a third around her neck. Anzu's body began to glow brightly as her normal clothes began to dissipate and reform themselves into her game attire, her sleeveless jacket with detached sleeves. Her Katana forming from a ball of light and attaching itself to the left side of her waist. Soon Anzu's attire would be completed in its entirety, and she would be transported to Arcadia, "The World's" largest and only city. She sighed, and smiled, "Oh it feels so good to be here!" She said with a cheery tone, jogging over to see the sights.

However, she would not be able to walk for long, as soon a crowd started to form around nearby. "New Quest?" Anzu said to herself as she began to run into the crowd. "Hey! What's going on?!" Anzu said,

It was a new quest alright, and it seems that everyone and their mothers were signing up to join. With that, she began to run through and out of the crowds, trying to dart her way to the Quest Shop. She only arrived and already she was fired up and on her way for a new adventure. She was so fired up that she literally crashed right into the door of the Quest Shop, tripping her up and landing flat on her face. "...owww." She sighed in pain as she began to look at what was in front of her, right in front of a...kimono? As she began to look up to see the face that was attached to the body that was wearing the kimono. (Red Faceplant Mark notwithstanding) she would see the tall white haired and green eyed woman.

Quickly getting to her feet, she rubbed the back of her head. "Oh, uh...sorry." She said with a blush as she slid right beside her and moved to sign her name for the quest. Now all that's left to do is to do the quest, but should she go it solo or go with somebody else?

Alicia Xeronia Log In

Alicia was a bit nervous to put on the slightly bulky HMD, she opened her window a bit to let some fresh air in and laid down on her bed, she placed the HMD on her head and rested on her pillow.

"...Here goes nothing....!" She flinched as the light from the HMDs Display hit her face, when she opened her eyes she was floating in the emptiness of the log in screen. "..Username and Password... Uhmm Alicia Xeronia, Password is Celestia." When she spoke the 2 the screen proceeded to the character creation screen.

She Chose Long pinkish-red hair since it favored her real life hairstyle, placed bladed hairpins,a small flower bouquet, and a small cute cloth design in her hair to make it look elegant, Chose a light nightgown like dress with a red ribbon on her chest, decided to add knight like Armor to her legs and arms, and a Large Cape. She Chose the job Twin Blade since it sounded the most balanced and gave her better reaction and running speed if things went bad. She picked two different swords for her weapons, a light guard sword for her left hand and a heavy sword for her right both fit with her character style.

"Ok... I think I'm done." She clicked the confirm button and a large blue circle appeared below her, it shed off her normal clothes and placed her into her character, when she loaded in Arcadia she wasn't expecting to be floating still and landed on her butt, making her swords clang onto the ground. "Ouch.... Wait Ouch?! I Felt that!!" she didn't realize she could actually feel things but it didn't really hurt that much.

Regardless she picked up her weapons and placed them back onto her thighs, and walked in, she heard a announcement about a event but didn't really pay attention to it, "Lesse... Kuro should be around here somewhere, he said he spends alot of time in the towns... Glad he emailed me a image of his character, there's so many people on here.." She decided to look around town to find him.

Ryoku paced himself and was making his way to the Quest Registration area, located in the Northern Side of Arcadia. As he was walking, a few people bumped into him, due to the already crowded gathering of players going and making their way to the Questgiver NPC. He looked around more, trying to see if he could spot anyone that partook in the beta testing, but it was all to no avail.

Nearly at the registration area, Ryoku made his way through the packed area, pushing softly aside a rather tall player with an enormous girth blocking his way. Moments later, the person that was pushed aside got annoyed and ticked off. He started yelling something incoherent at Ryoku, though he thought he was yelling at someone else, not turning back to check, even for a second.

As soon as he about to interact with the NPC, the same person came and grabbed Ryoku's right shoulder, "Hey pal, you sure are rude" the player said. Ryoku responded,"hmm?" Ryoku turned around to see a giant player steaming with heat, face glowing red, eyes nearly popping out in anger.

Ryoku got startled for a second and said "sorry, is something the matter?" he asked. The monstrous player barked back angrily, "you called me fat! Yeah. You heard me, you called me fat!". Ryoku scratched the back of his head and responded back "uhh, sorry, I did no such thing, ehehehe" laughing nervously and smiling sheepishly at the same time.

The two were engaged in a heated argument, where Ryoku was wrongly accused for actions and words he had not spoke or acted out. All he was merely doing was walking peaceful, never intending on being dragged into a confrontation this early in the game.

The other player would have realized by now, should he do anything drastic that Ryoku is a far more advanced player, just by the appearance of his gear. He was clearly more experienced as well.

With everyone near the Questgiver NPC watching, Ryoku stood still and crossed his arms."Okay, look, I'm sorry. I didn't call you fat, I had not even said a word until you spoke to me." The truth being said, but the other player refused to believe it. "NO! Unacceptable!"

Everyone dismissed the irrelevant issue and dispersed back to their original places, where they chatted and interacted with one another. Except, one person. The monstrously girthed one. He stood there, still angry.

Ryoku sighed and walked away from the direction of the crowd, right next to the Questgiver NPC.

The NPC gave her greeting, "welcome to the Quest shop, how I may be of services" she said. Ryoku answered the NPC's question. "Quest; Hunt of the God registration, please" The NPC took out a holographic board with a list of various names. Ryoku saw one name in particular Gozen Matabei. Ryoku knew, she, herself was a Beta player like him, although the two have never met. "ID and class, please" said the NPC."Ryoku, Twin Blade".

Ryoku's registration was now complete, and the NPC closed out her holographic board and gave her farewell to Ryoku. "Until next time, fair warrior".

Kuro & Alicia Meet

Alicia was just starting to walk down the steps away from the gate when she bumped into one of the players passing by, she got up and apologized bowing politely.

"I'm so sorry, I'm still trying to get used to the HMD!" She looked up only to see Kuro.

"Still as Apologetic as ever I see, you should get mad more and accuse me of bumping into you." He sighed poking her forehead with his finger.

He looked her over slowly, kind of shocked she chose such a revealing character, yet looked strong enough to intimidate other players. "The Look doesn't suit your personality that much Alicia, Your gonna get hit on by other doods, I mean just look at your ra--" before he could finish his sentence Alicia swiftly punched him in the face knocking him down the steps.

"Shut up, I like the character I made! It Fits me perfectly." She said as her face was clearly flushed from his words.

"Alright Alright, I'm sorry, but that's better, least you decked me good it actually hurt heh." He said while rubbing his face.

"Oh! I'm sorry I forgot you can feel things in this game!" She hurried over and helped him up.

"Meh, I've been hit worse in this game, sides the Pain Receptors are set low enough so that punch felt like a poke, just didn't expect to get flung down the stairs." He laughed. "Well anyways, Welcome to The World, Like it so far?" He asked her.

"Mhmm aside from kinda scary feeling part, its a beautiful game, I'm surprised something like this can look so good." She said as they walked towards the Quest Shop. When they arrive she asks "Hmm whats this?"

"Figured you'd want to register for the first player wide event, it'll be a good chance for you to get something good from the start, if you tag along with me." Kuro spoke with confidence.

"Mhmm! Sure, I joined so we could catch up and have fun anyways!" She signed the roster.

Kuro noticed a familiar face in the crowd and yelled out to him. "YO! Ryoku!" and Waited to see if he noticed him calling out.

Gozen Matabei

Time Off...

BUMP!

The noise was surprisingly audible, even over the din of all the nearby players pushing to get to the NPC. To her side, face down, was another female player. It was kind of rare to see someone ditzy enough to run into the door of a shop in real life, much less in a game.

"...owww."

It was quite humourous, but taking care not to be rude, Matabei managed with a grin. The girl got to her feet fast enough though and in a game, there really wasn't a need to ask if she was ok. Unless her health went down as a result, nothing really was worth any major concern. Still, by normal human habit, she asked the girl if she was unhurt.

Oh, uh...sorry."

Oh, no worries there. Didnt do anything that would have bothered me. Still, that was quite an impact you had there? Are you ok?

The girl went ahead like every other person here and signed up for the God quest. Matabei was clearly no noob, given her gear, while the girl, despite looking reliable enough, was geared otherwise. She mused to herself, wondering whether the girl would become quite a companion when geared properly and have some experience. She surely looked like she could handle herself. Then again, who knows if the avatar was reflective of anything. Given that she had nothing to do, Matabei had nothing to lose, and approached the girl

Ah. Another hopeful signing up for the event eh? Its good to see that everyone, even newer players are enthusiastic and willing to participate. I've entered as well.

Sticking her hand out, Matabei introduced herself.

Gozen Matabei.... as you can see,

She gestured at the name bar above her head jovially.

Are you new? Or have you been around the outside areas already? I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but i've been around here for a bit longer than some of the other players, so i can you you around a bit if you want?

Ami: Taking in the Views of Arcadia

Arcadia Main BGM Theme plays in the background

After logging on and hearing the event announcement by the guy in the black robe, Ami went to the western side of the city to take a better look around. She found herself walking down a road with a number of different buildings and houses; it looked like it could be the shopping area. “Wow, the building look sooo awesome, why can’t the real world have these kinds of buildings,” Ami wanted to look inside a shop, so she walked towards what looked to be an armor shop. Upon seeing the lit up building, Ami dashed straight toward it like she was a girl who just saw a Candy Shop. As she went through the door, Ami never noticed the step at the door, and tripped straight over it. ‘THUMP’ the loud noise could be heard across the shop as Ami fell to the ground.

“Ouch, that hurt, I need to be more careful in the future.” Ami got herself back onto her feet and patted down the red skirt that just got covered with brown dust from the fall. She then took a look at the store she just tripped into, around the edge of the shop, different chest plates, shields and helmets could be seen. Ranging from the basic leather sets to the Gold plated kind. Ami walked around the shop, which had very clean wooden flooring that seemed to be cleaned at least once a day. “Would you like anything my young lady,” Ami turns to see the young man running the shop was talking to her. The NPC had short black hair that was gelled back and freshly combed, and wore a black suit with a pinkish tie, black trousers and black shoes.

“Are you sure that you can run an armor shop with them smart clothes on, you don’t look dressed to make armor.”

“Sure, why don’t you think I could, I just sell the armor not make them.”

Looking confused as ever, Ami decided to leave the shop, and continue to the Quest shop to sign up for the event. “I’ll be leaving now, I’ll be sure to come back one day once I gather some Soul Stones,” Ami said to the shop keeper as she left. After being careful of that step she tripped on before, she decided to start walking to the quest shop. Ami got onto a road that looked a bit like an alleyway, as Ami walked up the road, a figure bumped into her shoulder, causing her to yet again trip over. “Hey, what was that for,” Ami said to the figure, that looked to be wearing a black coat that cover the whole body. The black hood covered the figure’s face, denying the chance for Ami to see the face. “Get out of my way,” the mysterious figure said as it continues to walk down the road.

“Well that was awkward, what was that person’s problem, ah well, let’s get to the Quest Shop.”

Ami arrived at the area where the Quest Shop was, but all that she could see was the big Sign lit up saying ‘Quest Shop’. The rest of the area was covered with a large crowd of people, they looked like a spawn of flies gathering for their afternoon dinner. “Wow, look at this crowd, at this rate, I’ll never get signed up for the event.” Ami started walking up to the crowd slowly and then as she got to the edge of the crowd, she started slowly weaving through it. “Excuse me, pardon me, coming through,” Ami shouted as she weaved through the crowd slowly. During this, Ami heard what seemed to be a male’s voice, "YO Ryoku!" “That guy seems to know people, I wonder if he is from the beta testing.” Forgetting the thought, she carried on towards the desk, as she weaved; she once again tripped and thumped onto the ground flat on her face!

“Oh for god sake, I’m really not use to walking yet, WORK LEGS!”

"Eh?"

Ryoku glanced around as he heard his name get called from the distance. He couldn't see past through the large crowd, so instead, he took a moment to think. Only a few people know of Ryoku, one of them was Kuro. And Kuro was on Ryoku's friend list, so he decided to open his UI and check where Kuro's whereabouts was.

He miscellaneously started clicking around his UI to find his friends list, and before long, he had gotten there, and saw Kuro's name was lit up. That meant he was online, anyone else who's name was grayed out was offline. He clicked on Kuro's name and pulled up a mini-map that traced his location in the town. Ryoku pulled the map out of his UI and stuck onto his HUD, from there, he could just look at it from time to time, instead of pulling up the UI every time.

Ryoku started to wander in the direction of Kuro's dot on his map, eventually passing by again on the quest shop, and two female players who seemed to be signing up for the event quest. Ryoku just had passed Gozen Matabei, but unbeknownst to him, he doesn't actually know that's her, since he couldn't see her name tag. All he knows is that he saw Gozen's name on the Beta player list being acknowledged, along with Ryoku's to give thanks for being in the beta. He also had passed a girl in a white sleeveless top.

While making his way to meet up with Kuro, a ditzy character tripped in front of Ryoku. The female had long gray hair, and was in an attire, bearing similar to a school girl outfit. She had some unique looking daggers as well, and Ryoku thought that was interesting. A new player with that kind of weapon, surprising.

"Uh, are you okay?" she said to Ami. Ryoku looked at her HUD, and her name was Ami.

He stuck out a hand to help the girl up to her feet.

"You should take it slow, I know controlling movements with the HMD can be a bit hard at first" He said to Ami.

Anzu
Tee Hee, I'm Fine

Oh, no worries there. Didnt do anything that would have bothered me. Still, that was quite an impact you had there? Are you ok?

Anzu dusted herself off, then looked up. "Oh no...hee hee, just my ego..." She said the last part almost silently, a bit flustered at her entrance. As she looked at her a little closely, she could see the fancy looking armor that she was wearing as well as the weapon of choice. It seemed quite likely that she was a beta player, and quite an experienced one with that. She must've been a beta player, and probably does know a good deal about this game than she could. Still, she went ahead to sign in for the quest, at least to try and get that in before the masses showed up.

Ah. Another hopeful signing up for the event eh? Its good to see that everyone, even newer players are enthusiastic and willing to participate. I've entered as well.

"Oh?" She said with a surprise. She was indeed considering on working with someone, but she wasn't sure if she would have been able to find anyone.

Gozen Matabei.... as you can see,

Anzu moved her right hand forward and shook Matabei's hand, "Name's Anzu, but you knew that already!" She said, as she playfully pointed at her own name.

Are you new? Or have you been around the outside areas already? I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but i've been around here for a bit longer than some of the other players, so i can you you around a bit if you want?

"Well, I can't say I'm that new. I've been around since release day."
Anzu explained. "But it would be awesome to have some company around. What's the fun of questing and adventuring if there's no one to adventure with, right?" She said, with lots of eagerness and vigorness in her voice. "So you must've been a beta player, is there any fun places to explore around here?"

Ami: Helping Hand

“Oh for god sake, I’m really not use to walking yet, WORK LEGS!”

Ami shakes her head in shame, she fell over in front of a huge crowd after all, and she was in the game to be more normal, not to draw attention. Just as she goes to get back up, a man’s voice can be heard, "Uh, are you okay?" it sounds like the voice is right near her, so Ami looks up, to her shock she sees a young guy with blue eyes and rather long black hair. “Uh, yeah, I’m fine, just tripping over myself, heh” Ami said nervously to the male character. This was the first time she spoken to a real life person, or a person who not a NPC.

The guy offers a hand to help her get up, Ami takes the hand and the guy assists her off the floor. Ami patted her clothes down just like before, and then went on to study the guy further. The guy was wearing a white shirt, black tie and a black jacket of sorts was over the white shirt, but it was not fully buttoned up. It also looked like the guy had bandages wrapped around his arms and even his hands. Ami was thinking of how weaid this guy was dressed, why would you wear bandages around your arms like that, he don’t look injured. After this, the guy spoke again, "You should take it slow, I know controlling movements with the HMD can be a bit hard at first."

Ami thought to herself ‘Thank god, he thinks I tripped because of me not being used to the HMD, not because of another reason.’ “Yeah, the HMD gets some getting used to, you should of saw me trying to login before,” Ami said to the guy just as nervously as before. She looked up at the name tag floating about the guy’s head; it reads ‘Ryoku,’ ‘This must be the guy that the person with that red cape round his waist was calling.’ On that, Ami looked over to the guy she was thinking of, and pointed in that direction.

“Oh by the way Ryoku, A guy with brown hair was calling you, he had a red cape round his waist.”

Eile Mura: Shy entrance

Elise Maya sat down on her desk. It was the beginning of break and everyone she knew was leaving the college. With no one to hang out with, Elise pulled out the package her dad sent and installed The World along with the HMD.

"Well. Here goes dad." Elise whispered as she typed in the vital info.

Username: Eile Mura
Password: rawrmaster1

After hitting the enter key, the sights changed as she suddenly appeared inside a building. Looking around, Eile smiled a bit as she took a look at herself before exiting the building. The sights was great as she took it all in.

"Nice work dad." Eile whispered looking around.

A loud voice rang out as Eile shivered a bit.

Looking around, Eile started to walk in a random direction, following the crowd. Soon enough, she found herself looking at a large gathering of people near what looked like the quest shop. Slowly making her way to the shop, Eile eased her way through the crowd until she reached it. Just as she got there, someone knocked into her. Letting out a semi quiet "Eeekkk!" Eile fell on the ground. The person who knocked her down gave a hasty sorry before moving on. Dusting herself off, she got up and managed to sign up at the desk.

"Why did I let my dad sign me up for this?" Eile sighed as she looked around.

She started to make her way out of the crowd when someone again crashed into her. Eile was knocked off of her feet and stumbled into a lady with what looked like Oriental outfit before falling on the ground yet again. This time on to her butt.

"Oww. Why is this task so important?" Eile muttered.

After helping out Ami, Ryoku asked,

"Your name's Ami, right? I suppose you're going to sign up for the Hunt of the god, quest as well?"

He let Ami think to herself for a little and let her decide, if she wanted to party with him. While Ryoku left Ami to let herself decide in the meanwhile, she briefly changed the subject by saying “Oh by the way Ryoku, A guy with brown hair was calling you, he had a red cape round his waist.”

Ryoku glanced at the direction Ami pointed and saw Kuro, bearing the red cape. He waved to Kuro with his right hand. He also spotted a female alongside Kuro. Ryoku smirked. "Yeah, that's a friend of mine" he responded to Ami.

He paused, weather if he should go meet with Kuro now, or help Ami further by offering his help to party up later when the event-quest starts. He decided to help Ami more, seeing that she could use the knowledge of a beta player like himself. Maybe he could also introduce Ami to other players he knows.

"Well, if you want, I can help you later on, if needed, especially if you're going to sign up on the quest. It's always nice helping out others." He extended a friend request to Ami, her UI glowing with his name.

"Message me if you need any help, and or advice."

Having said his farewell to Ami, he walked towards to Kuro's direction and went off his way. He passed various players of all sizes, he even saw little kids running around in the area. Though, he was unsure if those were NPCs, or actual players. It was highly unlikely those were players, since the HMD said to leave in the hands of those under 10 year old. It will majorly screw up with their brain development, at such a very young and tender age.

"Hey, Kuro, long time no see." He said, waving to Kuro as he walked closer and closer to his position and his female friend. Ryoku opened his UI and closed the mini-map off his HUD as he finally reached Kuro. "Who's the little lady?" Ryoku asked almost instantly.

People Falling Left Right and Center

"Name's Anzu, but you knew that already!"

Of course. Everyone knows everyone elses name with it floating above their own head. At least Anzu was quite cordial and friendly. Matabei would have been a bit hurt if she wasn't.

"Well, I can't say I'm that new. I've been around since release day.

I was lucky to get a beta key. But i agree. All my friends are busy today, so im wandering around by myself. As for where we can go to explore, there are plenty of areas outside of the city with a myriad of... ufff....

For the second time within minutes, another person toppled over near her.

"Oww. Why is this task so important?

My my... i must be like some sort of lighthouse here... Everyone seems to be falling over around me. Are you ok....

Matabei took a second to look at her name above her head.

Ms Eile? The enthusiasm from people starting to play can be a bit rough. I'd be a bit careful. Here.

Again, Matabei offered an outstretched hand to the girl. Despite that there are also people pushing nearby her, given her size, she wasn't going to topple over. Instead, Matabei placed herself between the crowd pushing forward and Eile so she can get up onto her feet without being trampled underneath.

Eile looked up from where she sat and saw the woman extending a hand to help her up while shielding her from the crowd.

"Thank you. Miss..." Eile paused for a second to look at the name of the person who was helping her up.

"
Gozen Matabei." Eile whispered as she took the hand and got up.

Taking a bit of time to dust herself off, Eile looked to see another woman there with the name of Anzu. Suddenly getting nervous, Eile started looking slightly to the left and right a bit as she was suddenly at a loss for words.

"You wouldn't know what this event is about would you?" Eile whispered while the crowd threatened to drown out the words that came out of the Brawler's mouth.

Kuro & Alicia, Reunion

"Hey, Kuro, long time no see." Kuro heard a familiar voice, when he looked a little harder past the crowd he saw Ryoku and his unique character waving as he approached he spoke again. "Who's the little lady?"

Kuro and Alicia walk over to meet him.

"This is Alicia, shes a new player I invited to join when "The World" opened up for other players, Alicia this is Ryoku, he was a beta player like me, if you ever need help or anything hes someone to ask if I'm not around."

"N-nice to meet you Ryoku, I'm Alicia Xeronia" She bowed to him and quickly stood back up.

"Heh, shes always been polite, just don't upset her she gets a little violent when you say someth-" Before he finished Alicia elbowed Kuro in the gut. "Right, Right, anywho hows things been? Heard your climbing the Colosseum Ladder." People were still squishing together.

"Ugh Its so crowded... Isn't there any place with less people around..?" Alicia grumbled as she wasn't used to so many people crowding her.
