Wow. Finally people who are as behind as I was. I started to regain my interest in the RE series a day or two ago and I stumbled upon this month+ old trailer for the new CGI Movie, Degeneration.
Yeah, I only just saw the trailer in that horrendous wannabe-Road Warrior Extinction movie. Looks good. About time they try to tie things more into the games & such.
I really love it! Can't wait to see the actual movie. Leon's a pretty decent hero, and Claire's okay. I'm anxious to see what they have in store for us. The CG is very well done and simply amazing!
Is it just me or is Leon channeling a bit of Matt Damon in those gallery photos?
Some of the porportions seem a little awkward to me, but I felt the same about Advent Children before it came out and in the end everything looked alot better in the final movie version.
I like Leon and Claire, glad the movie's gonna be about them
This movie is amazingly awesome... it really puts the 3 live-action films to shame, of course, using my favortie character easily helps it push it forward in my mind, lol. That said, its story is a great one, and just like the games, gives itself a decent ending while allowing it to move forward with the virus' journey still unresolved. All in all, its great fun to Leon and Claire together again, and thus this film will not dissapoint any RE fan... though it may confuse the strictly movie going audience as it falls into the game's continuity (after RE:CV, but before RE4), which is, as we all know, VERY different from PWSA's awkward apocalypse.
I saw this film a few nights ago, it was pretty awesome and easily better than the live action films (mainly because this one is actually canon). It was good to see Leon and Claire.
I did however find a few parts a little boring and I had to put a few pieces together since I haven't played 3 or 4 yet. But this is definitely better than the majority of films based off a video games.
I saw the film last night and I loved it. I was completely hooked to the movie the entire time, and although most of the stuff they said only half-made sense to me, it was still good. Lots of eye-candy but it was great to see Leon and Claire together. I've only played Code Veronica and RE4 so it was a perfect fit for me. I'd like to play the first three RE games now just to better grasp this whole G-virus deal. The ending left me kinda hanging though, but I guess that was the main point of it all, seeing as there is still unresolved issues about the whole situation.
I was hoping to see more action from Claire Redfield, but there wasn't enough at all, so I was a little disappointed with that. I really liked her character - never really gave her too much credit before. I was more into Leon and Chris Redfield in general, but Claire really did shine in this movie.
I saw the Movie on my friends computer about a week before it came out. *Is naughty* At least I did go out and buy it when it did come out. Anyway, I really liked it a lot, though that new female character really bothered me. She was cool at first, but then suddenly got a bit Mary-Sue. I was a little miffed that
Leon gave her "air" under water. Not because I wanted her to die, but because he pretty much kissed her. They made it seem really romantic... I didn't like that. >_> Her dress in the end of that movie was hideous, and that also bugged me.
I enjoyed seeing Claire in it, because she's always been my favorite female RE character. I was wondering where the heck Wesker was during that entire movie and was disappointed in the no-show, but at least there were some Birkin references. Heh, though I don't think there's any RE character that I don't like. Besides the obvious: Ashley.
I cant wait for this film, Ive read people prefer it to the actual RE movies lol. But yeah I enjoyed 2 because of Claire and Leon, so seeing them 2 together again for more zombie arse kicking is a nice idea. How long is it?
Watched it the other night. AWESOME! The live-action movied sucked but this one is canon and actually good. Sets things up for Resident Evil 5 pretty good too and helps refresh the plot abit. I say that because I thought plot-wise things were getting silly in RE: CV-X, but now reasons as to why and how the virus still continues are now there and makes things better.
I absolutely love this film, theres just something special about it. I think its the matter of fact that it a) actually uses characters from the games so we know who they are and we can relate to them. and b) it's just like watching a long cutscene from the games.
I thought it was a brilliant fiilm, far superior to the trilogy of live actions films. It was nice seeing the characters leon and claire again. The storyline is top notch aswell i thought, although i kinda expected leon and claire to get together, but they didnt>< The action was great especially the end when theyre fighting that big monster thing. Another thing i loved how the zombies looked so decayed and crazy, i think they did a great job on the artwork there.
I bought this a couple of months ago and was actually surprised to see it in the shops at first. I thought it wouldn't be out for a at least 4 more months at the time.
So I bought it and watched it that night. XD I absolutely loved it. I have only played one RE game (can't remember which XD) and I've watched all of the RE movies and this one was definitely my favourite so far. =D
The only thing that really, really annoyed me was when they spoke. <_< The lip movement was so off in my opinion. The lips seemed to hang there and the top lip seemed to do nothing o_0 when speaking.
SE did a far better job with lip movement in the Final Fantasy Games and movies in my opinion.
I know it's obviously a hard thing to achieve but it would be nice to see it perfected next time they make a CGI movie. =D
