Presents you are buying for other people

Some people just don't even appreciate the fact that you even thought of getting them a gift or just thought of them at all. It's hard to get gifts for some people. The times i have given gifts to some friends and some family members ended up never being used or just thrown away, just because it wasn't what they wanted. I still get gifts but just for a small number of people now because of this.

a jack daniels gift set thingy for my dad, with glasses and an ice tray and that sort of thing.

perfume for mum. which i still need to actually buy... :hmmm:

a big jar of retro sweets for my sister. stuff like drumstick lollies, flying saucers and vimto bars. it's lucky i'm diabetic otherwise i'd have torn into that already. :wacky:

ross noble's new dvd for my brother-in-law. i originally bought that for my sister, but then decided she'd rather have the jar of sweets so baz is getting the dvd.

it's always so good having a small family. i need to get something daft for a guy at work because he's bought me something, but that just needs to be a few quid from a toy shop or something.

Ive bought Ellie more shit :rage:

Lego though :ryan: and a hello kitty mug that comes with badges and i think it might have some hot choc and marshmellows in there.....

I have a very small list of people to get gifts for.

My mother: A new Wii game. Thankfully her having a Wii makes it easier to find her a present.

My father: Me and my brother plan on getting him a new GPS to replace his old broken one.

My brother: A Gift Card from Amazon. Since he is like me and it is hard to keep up with the things he buys, a Gift Card is always suitable for him.

Next year will be different though now that I have a new baby to start buying presents for too.

Adding to this since I ended up buying more things.

My mother: A new GPS mount to put in her car. I managed to snatch up a good deal on this one.

My father: A new electric razor. Again, I managed to snatch this one up at a good price and I think he will enjoy this.

My brother: A new PS3 controller with his favorite football team on it. I am not really sure of whether or not he needs a new controller or not but the way I figure it, if he doesn't need it, he can just display it with his other football merchandise. Either way I am sure he will like it.

Annnnd the final thing Ive ended up buying, got my mum a camera, her LED brolly didnt turn up, so i was like, fuck it, il get her a camera and she can have that for her bday, well, it turned up yesterday didnt it -__-

She can still have it her bday anyway, its only in Feb anyhow. She was after my old cam so just thought bollocks to it, il just get her a new one

I can't really afford to buy much for anyone. I bought for my parents and a few mates this year... just about it :8F:

Mum: socks, chocolate, some sweets from a retro sweet shop she loved when she was a kid, and a toiletry set.

Dad: Slippers, socks (they both get these, EVERY year) and some sweets.

Friends: everyone I bought for got some form of chocolate.

Not very creative this year, I'm normally a bit better, but there was nothing either of my parents really wanted, and I'm skint :sad2:

Christmas has been expensive for me this year...I bought my little brother a Wii, mother a book, a DVD and one of those screen-things you put over the car window to stop it from freezing over at night (she asked for it. xD) and her husband a £50 book he wanted.

I don't buy outside my immediate family, because not only do I not have hardly any contact with them, but they don't get anything for me either usually. I've been buying friends mostly figurines, because I'm a cheapskate, and it costs a fortune to send stuff overseas now...

Well, I'll only be getting presents for my parents, sister and girlfriend. :hmmm:

Dad:
Toolbox that fits into the pickup truck bed
Music Concert DVD's of some of his favorite musicians (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZ Top)

Mom:
Epson Wireless Network Printer
Printmaster Photo Program
4 Nintendo DS games (Brain Age I and II, Mario 64 DS and Sonic Mega Collection)

Sister:
Mario and Luigi plush dolls

Girlfriend:
Confidential :hmph:

I plan on getting 1 more thing for everyone, except my sister (who's impossible to shop for). She'll be getting more than just 1 more thing, naturally. :lew:
Alright, I'm adding to this list.

Dad:
A couple of Marylin Monroe posters and a Godfather poster
Black Sabbath Box Set

Mom:
A combination Cable Modem/Router

Sister:
The matching Yoshi plush doll for the set!
4 DVD's (Toy Story 3 and The Charlie Brown Trio (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas))

A copy of Inception on Blu-Ray for my brother. There was no real point getting it on Blu-Ray actually as it's cheaper on DVD and just as good, but he insisted. For the lulz, he also gets some Mr. Men slippers.

I've gone absolutely crazy with chocolate for my sister. I don't actually know she wants at all other than chocolate, so I've bought her a couple of boxes of Lindt chocolate. I've also got her a copy of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.

For my mother well, my sister and I joined forces to get her this necklace she's been wanting for the last half a year. It did cost a lot and I owe my sister one for being willing to fork out most of the money for it. xD

Dad was easy. He's getting a few CDs: Arcade Fire and Mumford & Sons being a couple of them.

And that's my family members there. Of course I've also bought gifts for friends and boyfriend. But I can't be bothered to list them out and it's making me really consider just how much money I've spent this year. xD

There will more than likely be more than that in the end.

I'lll come back with what I'm getting my family later.

Added more to my list for my fiance. XD
