It's the moment you've all been waiting for, no Iron Skies is not on at the movies. But just as good and 100% guaranteed to contain less Nazis, it's the vote to determine which poem is the greatest of all time amd appears in this thread.
I know this is what you've all been waiting for, it's the only competition run by everyone's favourite moderator, that's me and not Vikki. The Memorable Character elimination ended in a farce, with Auron beating Kefka and Ultros and Celes. That's the kind of vote rigging Mugabe would be proud of.
Anonymous Member: Hey, how do I vote for the poem I want to win?
Me: Well it's easy, it's just like SOTW, do you know how that works?
Anonymous Member: No, I only voted once and it was for a brilliant entry about Dynasty Warriors. Apparently you have to write down why you voted for a particular entry, is that still the case?
Me: Why yes it is, don't forgwt how hard all these people have worked, they must want positive feedback.
Anonymous Member: You are so wise. Is there anything else I need to know?
Me: I don't think so, just remember to stay positive and to have fun.
Now for our amazing entries.
Entry number one.
Entry number two.
In Theory
A butterfly flaps its wings in China
And I am lost
If, in dire times, chaos causes you to lose your way
Turn, turn yourself to the trees
Not to the trees, not to the leaves, stems, roots, branches
But to the forest which hides among them
It is in the forest that you will find the answers
Not answers, even, dancing in the shafts of light
Shining down between the leaves and branches
But guidance, advice, suggestion.
Two, two paths there are
And one, which is the way
And in the path that leads to light,
We fly right through to darkest night
And in the journey to the sun
We cover light til there is none
And down the road that triumphs dark
Remain we there as all grows stark
As though we live for conflict strong
Tis where we dwell for far too long
But hidden, twixt the two, is the path we strive for
In the forest, between the light and the dark
Lies the middle path, alternating between sections
Of light and dark, as we are blown back and forth
A butterfly flaps its wings in China
And I am found
Entry number three.
Night Light.
Stepping out my door into the night
Seeing stars centered by the moon light
With the clustered star field and it’s arrangement of stars
Polaris shines brighter than the rest
As the stars travel millions of light years away
Appearing in the sky is another guest
A much older star with great influence
Seemingly makes the other stars disappear
The moon lit sky gradually brightens
The end of the night is finally near
Stepping out my door into the night
The dark sky has officially become daylight
Entry number four.
Lament for the Unseen
The clouds, a patch of gold with bright silver linings
Gently took many forms as it swirled in harmony
High above they danced swiftly
Casting a beautiful shadow on a lone man standing on the shore
Whose unshed tears echoed his thousand cries
He sensed the alluring atmosphere in the palm of his hands
The scent of the ocean breeze whiffed through his nostrils
While the rumbling of the waves teased his ears
Echoing the sounds of the whispering wind
But not strong enough to break through his inner defenses
The man went down on his knees
Desperately scooped the rough and moist sand
And rubbed them on his face, careful to avoid his eyes
For even as they are useless, he holds them preciously close
Refused to embrace the eternal darkness it offered for some time
He longed to see the colors of nature more than anything
Not to rely with his touch, feeling his way around this world
To be no longer confronted with the mockery of what’s in front of him
He recognized the cries of the seagulls that breached through his forlorn heart
And in that single moment, his own renewed cries went flying with them
Entry number five.

Narcissus
As the essence of life springs forth through earth
Its beauty flourishes with an elegant call
Yet overlooked by creatures big and small
Such beauty speaks wonders with voices unheard
But this testament to life rests on those which were
As the meaning behind its life begins to fall
Neglected and mistreated and forced to crawl
The beauty remains soft and not blurred
But such beauty comes at a price
and it begins to tie its own noose
As it sways about in an extravagant waltz
As the maintenance of the beauty becomes a vice
The essence of life exceeds its use
and is replaced by that which is false
As the essence of life springs forth through earth
Its beauty flourishes with an elegant call
Yet overlooked by creatures big and small
Such beauty speaks wonders with voices unheard
But this testament to life rests on those which were
As the meaning behind its life begins to fall

Such beautiful plants
That we all cherish
Such beautiful animals
That will continue to perish
If CO2 continues to exist
Then the nature's things will be extinct
Beavers and Roses
If you care, you need to think
So that was my poem on nature
Don't harm the world, be more mature.
