There were quite a few overdrive modes in FFX.

-Healer
-Warrior
-Stoic
-Hero

And there were many more...

Which ones did you use the most and did you find any rare ones that you thought were hard to obtain? =O

I had, Sufferer, for enduring a status ailment, Victor, for winning a battle and, Loner, for being in a battle alone. Those were the last I got, and the rarest I've seen.

I got daredevil for fighting with very low hp and I got sufferer for having a status problem and I got some othere rare ones that I did something random and I got them.

Healer for Yuna, comrade for everyone else, Im sure I could have thought it out better, used different combinations, but it worked well enough for me and I couldnt be arsed experimenting

The only two I use are Warrior and Stoic.

For Tidus, Auron, Wakka and Kimarhi, I find setting it to Warrior will get the overdrive up alot quicker than any other mode, especially in the earlier parts of the game where you don't actually take that much damage. If you get the Caladbolg for Tidus, then you'll be getting overdrives alot with Warrior, triple overdrive, evade and counter, magic counter are all set on the weapon, so even when you're not telling him to attack, his overdrive charges from the counter attacks.

With Yuna, Lulu and Rikku, I just keep them at Stoic. I'm not a fan of Lulu's Fury so hardly use it, same with Rikku's Mix. Grand Summon with Yuna on the other hand, pretty useful if your Aeons overdrives are already charged, 2 for the price of 1 lol.

Well, I had alot of basic ones. I've yet to acquire all the ones like Sufferer, Dancer, and others. =/.

I ended up giving everyone Warrior. Much easier for me.

Warrior for Tidus, Wakka, Auron and Yuna since they were my main damage dealers.

I had Rikku in comrade and kept making the others use entrust when there guages were full just so i can try and get all of her mix combinations.

I never really used Kimarhi and Lulu so they were either on stotic or warrior depending on what party combination i had out at the time.

Hmmm usually if i was just fighting monsters i would use slayer for all characters, however i make sure to change if theres a boss coming up. Il then put 2 characters on stoic and one on comrade, odds are the character on comrade is gonna get his overdrive much sooner without affecting the others twos overdrive gauge.

At the end of the game i ended up with my main three characters all using warrier, Yuna had 1MP cost due to her Nirvana and also triple overdrive, Tidus had the same because of Caladborg and my Wakka had a weapon that i had added double overdrive to as i CBA to get all the Blitzball wins and what not.

I had Wakka as tactician (dealing stat ailments) Tidus and Auron as warrior, lulu and Yuna as dancer, kimahri and rikku as comade. Went quite well really and right up their street, used ally sometimes too

Eh, when I played I didn't really savor the game completely, so I only really used Yuna, Auron, and Tidus, and I gave Tidus and Auron warrior and Yuna dancer, but then the second time I played I used most of them at random times and completely finished the game doing all i could

I had one character one slayer, Tidus and the two other members on victor. Tidus would kill all the enemies and therefore get his overdrive very quickly, which helped to get blitzace whilst still on the mi'hen highroad. The other two characters only used their overdrives when fighting bosses.

I had everyone using Comrade because it is definitely better than Stoic. I'm just wondering, how do you know the criteria so you can get different modes, because I've only got like 6 or 7 different modes.

Later in the game, when doing monster catching, I set the party to Slayer and/or Victor modes, because if you've got Triple Overdrive, the overdrive gauge fills completely with just two or three charges. When their overdrive gauges were full, I equipped weapons with Overdrive to AP, kept the same modes, and then I would be getting two or three sphere levels for every battle, which is great considering that these were easy battles by this time, and it's a good way of making more use out of trying to find a low-encounter-rate monster.

There's a GameFAQs article that has a list of all the modes somewhere.

warrior because when you hit 99999 ur over drive bar goes up so quick or when u have triple over drive and you use victor it goes up in 2 battles

Hehe I used mostly healer and daredevil but I do not know why oh I also used warrior which I found was very useful. I thought healer was great because I mostly have yuna to heal others so there overdrive gauge goes up.

Got technician for Wakka one time for causing so many statues aliments.
Daredevil for Tidus, one time I just couldn't be bothered healing Tidus.
Healer for Yuna, for healing lots. >_>
Comrade for Lulu, she just got hit alot. xD
Hero for Auron, he killed alot of big people.
Can't remember about Kimahri.
Same for Rikku. >__>
And lot of other basic ones.

I can't remember what I used more often but I remember that I had Lulu fill her overdrive mode when her allies received damage.I think I had most of them on Stoic.
