Yeah like in Mw2 you had the M16A4 with 1 burst + More Bullet damage(perk) That was ace , I was like owning..had to leave my Invisibility radar though (sorry forgot about all the damn perk names)

But BO is more realistic.. real invisibility from radar is NO MORE..No more Commando Pro... Ghost Pro will hide you from Spy Planes yes but NOT from regular shots.
And the more bullet damage is no more either..only more bullet penetration.

This way campers are no more.. well less of them :P

Even Warbles/Jay is already ace at BO..just keep playing..
I love BO like hell...much better than MW2 imo. much.

Given that Treyarch have already made arses of themselves with the stupid NAT issue, then the awful servers they have and making the game worse through patches. It's not a company I would even contemplate buying DLC from. Treyarch don't hold a candle to Infinity Ward when it comes to quality.

I'm happy with my Ghost perk, it means I can kick everyone's arses without knowing where I am :ohoho: BO is quite easily the easiest of all the multiplayer cods imo.
 
Well I haven't went into Multiplayer in BO (sans a Zombies game with my cousin and friend online) I can say that it's easier to go with than previous titles. I have better luck their than on Campaign (still stuck on Rebirth Isle, still hate Stealth missions, this is gonna be my nightmare place)

In Treyarch's case, just as in World at War, people aren't gonna buy DLC for more maps, they'll get DLC simply for more Zombies.

Id say mw2 was miles easier. The fact that killstreaks built on one another meant you could get easily get a ridiculous score. Pred harrier chopper gunner and youv got over 40 kills =/
ITs a bit sad as it seems only certain people are being affected by the NAT issue. Like yourself merc. Personally id say treyarc has outdone infinity ward in every angle. At least they listen to whats being said.
Since day 1 in mw2 people were cheating in ffa by using tac insertions to boost for nukes and still it has never been patched. Im pretty skeptikal about mw3.

You guys seem to be having massive pproblems. For me it doesnt disconnect ever just maybe might host migrate 2-3 times but it never disconnects much for me. As for the parties well SOme of us get boote dbut it never happens to me. But yes I have encountered alot of laggy games where it would disconnect in a second. Oddly before downloading the patch I neve rhad any problems. After downloading it I have very small ones :hmmm:
 
NO i dont get mush problems either mlfy.
The last 2 weeks has been really good. I seem to have problems with hanoi though. It gets stuck on the loading screen whenever hanoi is the map in play. It happens to much to be a coincidence but besides that its been really good.
 
:hmmm: I can play decently in both games, you just have to play in different ways. The killstreaks don't count towards other ones in Blops but the guns are less powerful and have loads of recoil where as in MW2 they stacked and you had beastly guns. It was so easy to get predator missiles (and hence all your other killstreaks from that) with an ACR etc etc.

I do prefer Blops when it comes to balance because in MW2 the objective game modes were almost unplayable because of all the grenade launchers and killstreaks. But... MW2 was way more addictive IMO. You actually had to earn everything and now you can just buy it. It's getting really boring where the only thing I'm aiming for is to press prestige at level 50. Woop de fucking do.

When Blops was nearly out, I was just going for headshots and it was so much fun. I miss the days playing with Jim, Ohri, Ari etc during the summer. :sad3:

Black Ops First Strike DLC gets trailer premiere

Treyarch’s released the first info video for First Strike, Black Ops’ first DLC pack. Get it after the break.

The pack will offer five new maps – Berlin, Stadium, Discovery, Kowloon and zombie map Ascension – and cost 1,200 MSP.
It launches on February 1.
There’s a ton of information in there, detailing pros and cons of each of the maps, tips, tricks and other stuff.
Looks good. See for yourself. Remember its a 360 exclusive for the time being.

The new map pack sounds like it'd be fun, especially the new zombie pack, but 1200MSP/$15 sounds a bit expensive though...

Also I'm sure it'll come out for other consoles as well eventually so I doubt it will stay exclusive to the 360 for very long.
 
They did not show map Zombie map, but what they did show is awesome..

You can use the zip line haha..imagine three suckers at the same time zipping..I'll use my sticky bow and bam! lolzz

Also in Discovery that bridge can collapse.. sweet..I like what they did.


1month Xbucks360 exclusive..so March 2 or so I will buy this DLC ..:D
 
So I shall take it as it's just map packs that's going to be coming out then and no other new game modes yet? Oh well I'll probably look more into it once more info is released. It does sound like it could potentially be good though.

They are just map packs..they have never put up new game modes as DLC to my knowledge.. they did remover some game modes in MW2 and maybe added but thats always for free.

Yeah it sounds good to me. I cant wait xD
 
I maintain my view that I refuse to buy DLC for a broken game, it the connection issues can't be sorted then there's no way in hell I'm buying DLC from them for a hefty price! :hmph:
 
Report: Activision says closing Black Ops PSN servers may be “viable”

In response to ongoing connection issues and vocal customer criticism, a spokesperson for Activision has reportedly told an angry PlayStation 3 owner that the publisher may shut down Call of Duty: Black Ops’ PlayStation Network servers.

Senior support representative Dov Carson apparently replied to blogger Jason Koblovsky’s complaints by advising that Activision may be prepared to close the game’s PSN servers.
“The publishers have the right to shut down the servers for their game at any time as well which based on the number of reported posts from users may be a viable solution over the free PSN,” he wrote.
Carson suggested to Koblovsky that the latter return his Black Ops disc to Activision, offering a “one time courtesy” exchange for another title, another platform’s version of Black Ops, or an unopened disc to return to a retailer.
Sister studio Infinity Ward also seems to be giving up on Sony’s network, laying the blame for Modern Warfare 2’s security issues at the platform holder’s door.

Treyarch’s released a v1.06 patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The patch addresses quiet a few gameplay issues, like freezing problems with larger games, contract fixes and lots more, including the notorious Second Chance perk.
It also brings two new features to the game, adding new contracts to the rotation and allowing an optional pre-match timer for LAN/System-Link games.
Here’s the full list of fixes and features:
New Features:
  • New contracts added to the rotation.
  • Added optional pre-match timer for LAN / System-Link games.
Issues Addressed:
  • Fixed freeze associated with larger games.
  • Improved reliability of players connections to one another.
  • Improved ability to bring parties to the game lobby. Late party joiners would try to connect to previous lobby host and be denied if new joiners trigger a lobby host migration.
  • Addressed an issue where the Host encounters and infinite spinning loading circle after a Host migration.
  • Fixed a timing specific, long/infinite loading screen when joining games (sometimes giving you “Error – Read error (0×80010713) on file <map name>”).
  • Fixed a timing-specific freeze when host powered down during host migration.
  • Cleaned up the map search filter in the Community section (deleted unused entries).
  • Fixed Combat Training’s “USE FRIENDS” option for bots names.
  • Fixed issue with split-screen guest profile names being blank, resulting in matches never launching.
  • Instead of showing the generic “Player” for offline profiles in LAN, we now display the PS3 profile name.
  • Fixed Friends list appearing after viewing a Friends Playercard from the Leaderboards.
  • Fixed filter so players can now view Friends on Zombies leadboards.
  • Fix timing specific issue where the game can be put into slow motion.
  • Addressed “disconnected path” error when using the doors in Radiation after a host migration.
  • Fixed stability issues navigating lobbies after client on Split Screen Zombies quits out of a game.
  • Addressed issue/exploit when removing Counter Spy Plane effects with the Jammer.
  • Fixed a freeze when quickly loading maps one after another in private match.
  • Fixed issue where players get primary weapons in Second Chance.
  • Fixed “NEW” stamp not disappearing for Custom Slot 9 when highlighting the slot.
  • Removed water vision effect when respawning after dying in the acid pool in Radiation.
  • Several contract fixes.
Gameplay Tuning:
  • Second Chance – players that put an enemy into Second Chance are now credited for a full kill once that enemy dies. If another player kills the enemy while the enemy is in Second Chance, they will get assist credit.
  • Adjustments to the PSG1 with attachments.
  • AK74U adjustments.
  • RCXD adjustments.
  • Silenced sniper rifle adjustments.
  • Removed hit markers when shooting friendly equipment.
Activision was recently reported by Gamers’ Voice to the UK Office of Fair Trade over bugs in the PS3 and PC versions of Black Ops.

Eh... I don't really care. I thought I liked CoD but I guess I just enjoyed MW2 more than anything. I hardly play Blops anymore and I'm buying Mass Effect 2 on Friday so there's no way it's getting attention any time soon. I'm going to have a proper nerd session. :busta: Complete with booze and unhealthy snacks. :rage:

Activision has sent over screens from Call of Duty: Black Ops’ First Strike Map Pack, and it contains shots of areas Berlin, Stadium, Discovery, Kowloon and Ascension.

The game’s official website posted some of these earlier in the week, but now you have them here to view at your leisure without clicking anything.
There’s also another new video for it below.
First Strike releases on February 1 as an Xbox 360 timed exclusive for 1,200 MSP.

New CoD: Black Ops Xbox 360 patch live, PS3 patch coming March 3

Treyarch’s released a new title update for the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The patch fixes some gameplay issues and implements additional security features.
Here is the full list of features:

  • Matchmaking improvements to return higher quality results faster. This change includes settings that are tunable in the live environment, so tweaking may continue beyond initial release of this update.
  • The in-game store now hides DLC map packs that do not match the language of the player’s disc to decrease the possibility of users downloading the incorrect language version.
  • Calling in a Chopper Gunner immediately after getting shot down in a Gunship will no longer end the Chopper Gunner run prematurely. Required timing-specific button presses.
  • Split screen players are now able to change camera perspectives and cycle through players as a spectator.
  • Addressed an issue where the most recent match played in Zombies could overwrite the best match played on the leaderboard.
  • Improved Zombies lobbies to prevent players from erroneously receiving the error “Unable to join game session” under certain circumstances.
  • Addressed a number of community-discovered Zombies gameplay exploits.
  • Additional security feature updates.
Gameplay Tuning:

  • Additional sniper rifle tuning.
Josh Olin, Treyarch’s community manager also tweeted that a PS3 patch for the game will be released on March 3.
