Not Answering phone? What's your excuse?

Ever had one of those days when a girl or guy friend asks why you didn't answer their call and you come up with a B.S. excuse?

What's the worst you've come up with so far?

I've heard many... but I've used some stupid ones.

I'll start.

"I put my phone on silent"

- Response, "But that was two days ago"

"Yea... my phone has been on silent since then..." (bad liar)
 
Lol, I dont really bullshit. I just come out and say why! Sometimes I do have my phone on silent and end up not getting a text or call for hours, not days Tyler XD
 
"I didn't have credit"

"But I called you"

"Yeah but I didn't have credit to call back"
 
Oh man, I hardly every come up with those, I tend to be blunt and just say:

"I just didn't want to answer is all."

But, for the sake of the topic, I have given a few and here are the ones that I can think of:

"I was downstairs and didn't hear my phone."

"My phone's fucked up and it won't ring sometimes."

"I was on the other line and didn't notice your call."

....They're kinda good excuses... >_>;; ...............
 
well,I usually answer the phone or the text messages.But now things are getting different,as I am mad at someone and if he calls me or texts me I won't answer him no matter what.I won't even get online on YM.

As When I will get back online or text him I will say I needed some time alone[which it is true and I was also learning for my exams] also true -.-'
 
"I left my phone in the truck." or "my friend was using my phone, idk." or just say "idk the call never showed up on my phone." that one usually works cause iphone always fails. :awesome:
 
"I don't answer my phone when I have guests round" - It's true, but as little lame.
 
I generally say 'I didn't hear it' or 'it was in my room'
- but as well as being my BS excuses, they're quite often true as well. I have a habit of not taking my phone with me if I go somewhere :wacky:
And I don't often get signal in my house, or my nan's... If I say 'I've got no signal' I'm telling the truth :wacky:
 
Tbf, my phone is always on silent. i dont like ringtones

though, I dont like phone calls in general, i prefer texting, so if someones ringing me for a chat and its not important they should know better

and as for the signal thing, that actually does apply, my phone can be on all day and folk are like, IVE BEEN TRYING TO RING/TEXT YOU... and im like, ive not even had so much as a missed call pal. NMy service provider stinks

My mothers excuses for not answering are teh best though

I really always lie and just go "It didn't ring for me." I avoid conflict by nature IRL, and if I don't want to talk to someone, my phone didn't ring.

Thing is though, 'no signal' is always real for me. My provider pisses me off because I miss a lot of calls through having no signal :hmph:

But it is a good BS excuse too :wacky:

And :rofl:, Kel, that made me laugh. If my parents ever said that to me I don't think I'd be able to look them in the eye :wacky:

My excuse is anything but imaginative: I left it in work.

To be fair, it has happened more times than I care to remember, but they don't know that for sure. It seems to work though, but it means I have to blank everyone that might have the slightest connection to one another over the duration of the evening/weekend in case the inevitable happens.

Person A: "Hey I called Virgil last night and he said he's ok with it."
Person B: "...wat"
 
i cant remember the last time someone tried to phone me so i dont have to come up with excuses.

~Im pretty known to answer most texts and if i dont it either tells you my phone didnt get it or i just dont want to deal with any BS at the moment.
~But as for calls im horrible about answering them even if the phone is right next to me, i usually pick it up, look at the caller and contemplate wheather or not to answer it lol, and most of the time by the time ive decided the phone stopped ringing so i just put it back down and say "oh well they'll texted me XD". And as for excuses ummmmm Oh!

~Lol most of the time they can tell im lying though, oh well they do it too :x3:
~But one thing i learned never to do again was answer unknown calls i learned my lesson........kinda. :awesome:
