Most Annoying Bratty character?

While I had never palyed every game in the series, I know enough to realize that the series has its own share of bratty characters and some of the them are more annoying than others. Krile may had started the trend but Palom seems to get a lot flak from what I observed. Most the bratty characters are mostly girls but some males can just as annoying. Everyone has their own opinions but there are some characters that have this as a part of their charm although it isn't limited to those girls (or guys).

Yuffie (FFVII)
Selphie (FFVIII)
Eiko (FFIX)
Tidus (FFX) and Rikku (FFX)
Shantotto (FFXI)
Penelo (FFXII)
Vanille (FFXIII)

Which one do you think is the most annoying?

Mine is yuffie, the girl stole my materia and made off with it. Dang it, Yuffie.
 
I didn't actually think Palom was much of a brat, tbh, he was kind of funny to me XD However I will say that Yuffie was pretty "bratty" by doing those things you mentioned, even though I did still end up liking her. And even though I liked Dagger in some parts of IX, when she
stopped talking for that period,
I thought that was EXTREMELY bratty and I was very annoyed by her because of that. Even though
she had a lot on her plate, at least she didn't lose everything like some of her subjects, so it was kind of selfish of her IMO to be like that when there were Alexandrian NPC citizens who had ended up far worse off than she did.
 
Although I don't see him on your list, Hope from XIII was the most irritating/bratty character for me.

I know, I know...his
mom died and it pained him for the rest of the game...but because he was so immature/bratty he put misdirected hate on Snow and continued to whine and moan to Lightning for a good portion of the game because of it
...which really killed his character for me.

Cry me a river Hope :rage:

The others didn't annoy/irritate me as much as he did.
 
Vanille wasn't that bratty. She was a bit annoying (but she was totally sexy so that made up for it). She was also very positive, which isn't a quality found in bratty characters.
Hope, on the other hand, could be considered bratty for the first half of the game.
 
I absolutely despise Selphie, but while she is the epitome of annoying (character, stupid decisions, dialogue, limit break...), she didn't really strike me as bratty. I'd say Rinoa had all the bratty, while Selphie brought the annoying.

Looking at the list, I'd say characters like Tidus, Vanille and Palom all have redeeming qualities, and as their stories progress, they mature, and seeing that character arc is what FF is all about!

Need I say more? It wasn't his fucking story at all, it was Yuna's, he was just tagging along. I stick by my belief that if you took Tidus out of X, the story would still make perfect sense.

You are right on Hope is by far the most annoying character in any final fantasy I have played. Ontop of being a whinny brat is he the biggest pussy in FF franchise, what did it take 80% of the game for him to even mention what he is upset about...

I disagree with Tidus, I'd say he never matures, even at the end of the story he's whining and bitching about how he wants things to go his way.
As for Vanille, she's one of the only redeeming qualities of XIII, she's lovely, I don't think she's bratty at all. Or Rikku, don't know why she's on the list either :/.
 
I would also have to say Yuffie. I love her, but nobody takes MY materia.
 
Vanille wasn't bratty at all, if anything she was at the opposite end of the spectrum completely.

Hell, Barrett was whiney as anything.
 
Ashe in XII is by far the brattiest character in the series I think, she never shut up whining and moaning regardless of who tried to help her. She never did anything for herself. She constantly relied on others, and still complained when things didn't go her way. She bitched about not getting her country back but took practically no action in saving it herself, relying on the other rebellion leaders.

Though Vaan is the character who annoyed me the most ever, but that was on account of his being a massive, vacuous tool, not being a brat
 
Hope was anything but bratty he hardly ever said anything about it. The only thing that was wrong with his character was he was to wussy but then when he faced snow he was brave. I have to say yes ashe was really bratty but the most bratty character has to go to palom but he was a funny bratty type so I liked him but he's so annoying and bratty

Krile and Relm didn't strike me as bratty.

Out of all of them, I thought Eiko was the most annoying.
 
Dagger! My fucking gosh. She never stopped complaining! That when she lost her voice and ability to do anything was just great! Whenever I did have her do something, she'd fuck it up. So I did not miss her at all. She was always sad or something like that. Everybody had to talk her into feeling better. Ugh... Hate her. I prefer Eiko much more.
 
Toni @Squid is definitely the brattiest person I know, whether it be in a game or in real life. She loves to scream and shout things like ''I AM NOT IN THE MOOD'' ''THIS ISNT FAIR'' YOUR SUCH A CHEATER'' whilst kicking her legs and waving her arms everywhere when she loses at games like tekken. I took her dummy one day and she got really mad :(

In a game though i would say Eiko from FFIX, she was definitely a stupid little brat. Garnet had her moments aswell. Always putting her hands on her hips and hmph-ing and walking about like shes some kind of princess or queen..
 
No one has annoyed me the way Hope in FFXIII did. He might be my least favorite character in any FF. He is far and away the most bratty and annoying character.
 
Yuffie hands down.
You have to survive a series of odd questions to get her in the first place after finally finding her in a random battle. If you get them wrong I think she stills one of your items and runs away. Rinse and Repeat that process.
When you finally get her in your party she steals your materia.
She complains all the time.
But we love you Yuffie.
 
Although I use her in my party because I love her in combat, my vote is for Yuffie. That little stint she pulled in Wutai pissed me off to no end when I had to run all the way there with no materia. And when it was my 1st playthrough as I didnt really grind levels or anything. Basically "noob status". I got my ass handed to me running to Wutai.

Hope is a close 2nd as well. I absolutely HATE his character so fucking much. Just hearing his voice drives me insane and makes me wanna climb through my TV and kick his ass.

But when I played FFXII I discovered that she exists a brattier character that Selphie: Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca.
She is so hateful. Penelo is the second bratty character: I think she is useless in the story and she is so empty to be a FF character.

Although many people hate Selphie I' ve reevaluated her when Squall and C. are under the snow flakes in Trabia and she says that for Trabia habitants snow is like a gift from fairies. I love this kind of view ; ) and I've understood she doesn't like only trains.
