Has anyone ever had a phone that has survived falling down the loo? D:

I dried it off straight away with the hair dryer and now its drying by the fire.....>_>

I can get it to turn on, managed to send a text and makea phone call, but it sounds really distant, it keeps freezing up, theres condensation on the inside of the screen and the arrow keys randomly choose not to work

Is it beyond help, or is there a glimmer of hope it might get back to full health after it's dried out?

I'm having the worst fucking luck EVER recently

The phone that ended up down the crapper that I've got still works, it's just very temperamental and likes the colour purple now. Still bought a new one though.

No actually even it all dried out you'll still have problems with it >__> most likely people buy new phones or give them to someone to fix them, do the first thing if you want my opinion. >__> and may I ask how did you manage to drop it? >__>

It was in my pocket and as Ive finished my business and gone to flush it fell out D:

Ive seen 2 of the same phone on ebay which Im watching atm, they dont end for like 1/2 days so if ther is no hope Il just get one of those, cba with it being a temperamental little fucker on me

Im sure it's not hard to make the insides of phones waterprrof, they can do it with fucking watches <.<

Well I spilt a little bit of coke on mine a while ago and it's started to do some really weird little things that tick me right off. >_>

I.E. Doesn't alert me when I get messages and the alarm doesn't work anymore. <_<

It could have just been the phone getting old but I doubt it. Barely a year old as it is.

If you're lucky, your phone should come out fine but from my experience, water and electrical appliances should never ever mix. I've yet to have a phone come out the same after mixing with some sort of liquid. >_<

Fuck sake D:

/stalks eBay ;_;

There's a moral here kids, never take your phone to the bog with you, even when you think it's safe and snug in your pocket D:

Ok, so it's been roasting under the fire for a while, all the condensation appears to have buggered off, all my earlier listed problems has dissapeared so I'm crossingmy fingers and hoping that it will carry on as it is

It's going to be a tense 24 hours....will my phone possibly defy all odds and pull through?! :gasp:

:O

Oh dear!

I think if I ever dropped my phone down the toilet I'd never ever use it again even if it did work!

But... lets hope it works. I'd say the chances are slim as even a little bit of water getting into it can make it mess up, and dropping it into water like that can not be good for its health.

I don't think waterproof is what you need. Seems like you're after a submaphone!

But maybe it will defy all odds. If it does, it'll become a famous celebrity and should eventually have its own chatshows and autobiographies and everything. Honestly, for it to survive the plunge it is a very resilient phone!

It depends where the water has gotten into really, if it's the screen or inside part of the main phone (i.e. buttons) then you probably would have problems and need to get it fixed professionally xD

However, if it's the battery just take that out, stick it on a towel and put it on the radiator and it should be fine, like my sisters when she did it. However, I was reluctant to get it out since I thought I'd get electrocuted :awesome:

Ive done that before aswell, its a fucking pain >_< some fones can resist the water better than others, i think it depends on how modern the fone is. I reckon the newer the fone is, the more chance there is of it dying when u drop it in water.
Solution would be to not drop it i guess :wacky:

Oh hush xD

It still seems to be working, and it was dripping water from all available gaps, I think blasting it under the fire did it some good....

I'm too scared to switch it off to see if it comes back on though...

*is brave*

......

still works :gasp:

Are you on contract? U might be better off just foning ur network provider and asking for a new one, as long as your insured of course. Chances are the fone will break right when you need it the most.xD

ahhh silly girl, it only costs me 6 quid a month and that covers loss, damage..everything. You should take it out now then claim and get a new one. Ive broke my phone twice and lost it once, its a pain but its good knowing i have the insurance to cover me.

I washing machined my iPod once, and it still works so your phone may too. Just leave it somewhere hot/warm for a day or too, if you can go that long without a phone. There's no guarantee that it'll still work though.
