How lucky do you think you are?

Mostly lucky or mostly shizzle out of luck?

I tend to fluctuate between really lucky or really unlucky. I hate it. xD
I'll have days where everything goes my way, and the next thing you know everything is falling to pieces on me.

I have a scratch ticket binge almost every day... for a couple weeks at least one would be a winner andI'vve accumulated 93$ worth in saved tickets.. but I think I spent that in failed tickets these last two weeks.. so... feh. >.>

It comes and goes.

I'm one of those people who manages to really get on top of things and I wonder, 'When is the bad stuff due.'

We always get really unlucky right after we think things are finally going smoothly.

People who say, 'Life has to have it's ups and downs to be interesting...blah blah blah.' shit me off.

To all those people, you can have your interesting and miserable life climbing all the way up only to fall back down.

Steve and I would like to sit comfortably thanks. We have plenty of other things we'd rather be doing then fixing problems!!!

I have the most appalling luck :wacky:

If it can go wrong, it will.

Though, I must admit, landing this job was a stroke of luck. I never check the job centre website, because it's generally just crap, seriously, for anyone who has ever used it will know what I mean. So I use other sites. I had to change my dates for my 6 monthly review at the job centre, and the day I went in Dot printed off a handful of jobs, the one I got, being one of them, and the guy only had it listed a couple of days and had the job centre remove it the day I applied, so I think that was really lucky. Right place. Right time etc. Here's hoping I can last the week without being fired :wacky:

Maybe my run of bad luck is finally coming to an end. My man luck just needs to fucking improve now -__-

i prefer to believe you make your own luck. i'm not one of those people who seems to somehow scrape by through life through an amazing sequence of coincidence, but at the same time i don't have shit happening and building up on me.

I'm not sure. Over the past year a lot of shit has happened and whilst there were bad things, I was really influenced by my Dad's very optimistic thinking of the situation. It would always seem like even though event A happened, good thing B would seem to fall into place and in a weird way it all worked out. Maybe it's just positive thinking?

But then again, my Mum got very lucky in that she was acting as a patient to show trainees how to operate mammogram machine and in the scan they found the early stages of cancer forming. We could have found out 3 years down the line and she might have died.

I know I'm being vague but I can't be arsed talking about specifics. But I don't think there's any sort of fluctuating levels of luck. Shit happens, good and bad, and you just have to deal with it.

I wouldn't say I was very lucky because I don't necessarily believe in luck. I believe things just happen because of a series of events that have many a different outcome. I might use the term 'lucky' when applied to a situation where someone got out of something without being harmed physically, emotionally, mentally, etc, but I wouldn't really consider myself to be lucky.

I try not to think about it, because I know if I do then it will go wrong in a way I couldn't imagine just to spite me. I have appalling luck.

I prefer to make my own luck in being as pessimistic as possible. That way, if things turn out better than I expected them to - and it doesn't happen very much - I'm pleasantly surprised. I suppose you could call that luck. I'd just call it situational ignorance, though. Bad luck is when I'm not ignorant enough of the situation, good luck is when I am. xD

Dear mother of all the mightiest gods ever created, I have..... Pretty good luck.

We managed to get those tickets to TLC in December which was pure luck that they weren't sold out.

I got 20 bucks on a scratch card about 12 years ago and felt like king. I think we got Chinese food with that! :D

Everything good that happens to us is usually good luck. We've never been steady though. What goes up must come down. We go up, we get sent back down.

I'd say we're pretty lucky. My dad especially. He finds money in random places. Like the street. Not just some 5 dollar bill, we're talking 100 dollars.
