Earlier this week in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, a chicken was thrown into a KFC restaurant.

A video posted on YouTube shows a man carry the chicken on foot to a drive-thru window while being filmed.

After waiting until the service hatch opens, he then puts the chicken inside before he and the cameraman run away.

The RSPCA noted of the incident, which reportedly forced the establishment to close temporarily: "It's just completely irresponsible to abandon an animal in this way.

"It's shocking what some find funny."

The man who carried out the deed, however, told Digital Spy: "It was just a bit of a joke.

"Obviously I'm not a dog beater or horrible to animals. It was just for a laugh."

The chicken has apparently been renamed 'Mrs Sanders' after KFC founder Colonel Sanders.

Bloody hell, this takes the biscuit. Just for a laugh? How about if the man was put through the drive-thru window then?

I don't encourage behaviour like this, but I think a whole article about it is kinda over the top. There's far worse things happening in the world, and like the guy said, he's not cruel to animals. The bird's even named after a famous restaurant, that chicken is pimp'ing. :wacky:

Did he smash it through the window? Or did they just throw it inside the restaurant? As long as the thing was never intended to be injured, it's funny. :P

it went through an open window, it clearly wasnt hurt, all thats on the other end of that is a (startled) person, not like it's gone in a bin or been mistreated or anything. probaly not the best idea a person could have lol, but does it really warrant a whole news article?

It's a bit of a non-story anyway. Okay, the guy is perhaps a little off his rockers, but this was essentially just a joke (and if the chicken is given the name I assume those inside KFC saw some of the funny side as well), nothing like - as Kelly probably referred to there - the incident where that mad woman threw her cat into a bin and left it there. That was actual animal abuse, and though doing this to a chicken isn't too nice, it's not like they're creatures we normally treat to the kindest extent anyway.

I dunno.. I think it's kinda funny. :wacky:

Then again I'm the kind of person who would take a chicken into McDonalds and ask them to find the nugget part on the chicken.

Usually when you throw a live animal though, it's going to get hurt >.> People don't throw babies and it's not funny to throw a small animal either.

Also, in terms of this not meriting a whole article, IMO the same thing applies to celebrity gossip and fashion, but news companies keep churning that nonsense out. It's just a matter of what they think will sell news, and so they must have thought this would be interesting enough, I suppose :hmmm:

Amen to that. :wacky:

That poor chicken. Actually it could have been hurt if it got into the kitchen area where there's hot grease and burners. Also, it's not exactly sanitary to have a live animal flapping around food you're going to serve customers either, I imagine. :hmmm:

No one pointed out that the people on the other end of the drive thru could have seriously been hurt by that chicken. I've never thrown one but we had chickens in our front yard and when they were agitated they went for blood.

Poor drive-thru people. And poor chicken.

So basically, the RSPCA are going on a rant about how some dude put a chicken through a window yet people are battling roosters with razor blades attached to their legs. Jesus. :ffs: If the chicken wasn't hurt, and the people weren't hurt then there's no issue.

I got bit...pecked whatever by a chicken once, little bastard. It was deceptively cute with its litle mohikany type thing

Anyway, Im with Ryan, they should let this go and concentrate on the kind of cunts I read about the other day that killed a cat for fun

Nyeh it is funny but I would be annoyed if they threw it through the window while I was working.

Can't they see they're just annoying little shits trying to have some fun?

Yes they're annoying/funny whichever side you're on. But they're not harming anyone.

It's not even worth writing a news story about it.

Far out, they managed to find out about these sort of stories yet when someone steals my car at 3am without a licence and is deemed half blind and is on the pension for it and then writes my car off into an energex pole and loses his front teeth because of it, they don't even blink an eye and the story never even reaches the local newspaper.

People are focused on such menial shit these days.
