Last Movie You've Seen

^^ I thought it was meant to be a comedy =0^^

I *heart* your avy and signature by the way. =D

Baby Mama

8/10

It was a funny movie but the level of comedy stayed the same and you kinda knew what to expect, which ruined it for me. Nonetheless a great movie with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey from Mean Girls.

(I rate movies a bit harshly, sorry in advance)

The Day the Earth Stood Still

5/10

I liked the special effects...

Apart from that I was wondering what the hell the scriptwriters were doing when they wrote this and how much McDonalds payed for the plug. It wasn't a god awful movie, its average for me. However, the performances were a little lackluster and the kid's attitude through the entire movie just ground on my nerves. Yes, I know his angst was a plot device for Klaatu but by god enough. Keanu Reeves was surprisingly ok in this movie, how did he manage that I hear you ask? It's because mister wood himself didn't really need to act or show emotion, something that Reeves is renown. He just had to be there, say his lines and move around the set. Klaatu had about as much emotion and depth as a fart.

One thing the movie did do was to leave me with a lot of questions and thoughts about the human race. I was kind of depressed with the conclusions though, unfortunately we are a very destructive race. No matter how many chances we get we will always stuff up.

The Curious Tale of Benjamin Button~

It was an amazing, touching, and heartwrenching movie. I absolutely adored it, and it's become and instant favorite. I'll have to wait until it comes out on Dvd to see it again sadly, but I will buy it when that time comes in a heartbeat. I recommend it to anyone who's a sucker for sad things.
Or, inspirational things. ;D

10/10 fo sho.

Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny
10/10
One of the best movies that I've watched so far. Story about to guys finding a certain pick with "supranatural" powers and their job is to ROCK OUT! I'm practicing one of the songs that they played in the movie. Jack Black and Kyle Gass equals THE BEST!

Note: This movie is not for children

The Bank Job

Rating: M

3/10

Spoilers below:

It was probably one of the most annoying movies I've ever seen. The main guy Jason Statham seems to think he can act like a manwhore in most of his movies and yet again did not fail to do the same.

This was a very corrupt movie. I didn't mind that he was a bankrobber but I can't stand it when they decide to not only make him a bankrobber but also a cheating prick.

"No honey I've never dated her, it was always you from the start. I love you." he says something along those lines to his wife.

Then he spends two nights with this slut Martine/Saffron Burrows (while trying to break into the bank) and cheats on his wife, whom he has two kids with. He's already risking losing his family by robbing a bank and then cheats on his wife while he's at it.

Then he's set free in the end. Why the hell do people support these LOSERS!!!

Layer Cake

Pretty decent movie. It seemed to be missing a lot of the dark humour found in other British Gangster movies such as "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels". But it was done very well IMO.

Spirit
It is a really good movie. Basically it is a batman esk movie that is funny.
The Spirit said:
Somebody find me a tie! I don't care what kind, but by God, it had better be red!

Mod Edit: More effort in future please.

It was a comedy. The ending was just really, really sad D= @ thanks ^^

Four Christmases

All in all, I thought that this was a really good movie. I laughed pretty much the entire way through it, especially in one scene where Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn had to play the part of Mary and Joseph in a Christmas play. It's definately worth watching at least once if you haven't seen it yet.

24 redemption

WOW jack is back Ive had this film on dvd for a weeks now but never got round to watching it..its amazing.
Brilliant action and story and it got me totally ready for season7 which starts on Monday. Ive already seen some of the first episode, the dvd gave a sneek peek. Usually i hate watching 24 on tv as it takes a whole week to air the next episode, but i dont think i can wait.
If you like 24 no doubt youve seen this already, if you're not a fan then id still recomend this film as it is brilliant.

Twilight

Lol me and my friend were the only dudes in the cinema :wacky:

Anyway, for anyone wondering what this film is about, I will say in advance; It is a Romance fantasy film, and by Fantasy, I don't mean 'Lord of the Rings Epic Battle' fantasy I mean 'OMG he's a vampire, vampires don't exist it the real world this film is such a fantasy film' fantasy.

I enjoyed it despite it's many negative points, such as the love story taking priority over the main conflict and the lines in the script which made me say wtf. But if you're expecting an Epic adventure fantasy, don't get your hopes up.

Alvin and the Chipmunks.

10/10

I was late seeing this, but that was partly because I couldn't be bothered. So I had a day off college and decided to watch it for the hell of it. I was really impressed by the writing and the chipmunks quite literally stole the show! Hated Ian, of course. If you're a big fan of Disney movies and kiddie comedies, I'd recommend this!

When Night is Falling -- 8/10

A Calvinist professor at a Christian college falls in love with a circus performer. Conflict with Christianity is a pretty prevalent theme in lesbian film, and it's usually done pretty poorly, ala Loving Anabelle. This, however, handles it refreshingly well. Christians aren't portrayed as raving fundie lunatics, and the lesbians aren't fearless rebels who sing crappy alt-rock songs. It strikes an almost perfect balance, but the problem is that this results in a lack of palpable conflict.

And...the sex scenes weren't hot. This isn't the main reason I watch lesbian films, but it ranks up there. Music covered up any of the breathing, kissing, and moaning sounds and I just felt gypped. Otherwise, excellent film.

The Strangers

To put it plain and simple, this movie sucked!
The story seems far too unbelievable, I mean to think that three people can pick a random home to terrorise and do it so perfectly. The strangers always happened to be at the right place at the right time, there was no real fault to their actions, far too unrealistic.

What really bugged me was the fact that the strangers had absolutely no motivation to do what they did, ok the idea of people killing each other for no reason is scary, but when that idea is incorporated into a film, it makes for an incredibly poor storyline.

The sound was awful, it was far too quiet. I had to boost the volume and turn the subtitles on to understand what the characters were saying (it got really annoying at the end because the Subtitles and Audio were out of sync -__-).

The only thing I liked about the movie was the lighting and camera angles but these things still didn't make up for the overall shittiness of this film.

The last Movie I saw was Bleach The diamond dust rebellion. Although I watched it on youtube and in japanese I understood with the english subs and this movie was great!!!

The Truth Behind Hip Hop -- 2/10

Claims to expose the devil in hip hop. I must admit, I was hopeful. I think there's something terribly wrong with such ardent celebration of murder and greed as found in most popular rap, pretend or not, and was hopeful to see a black church condemning it. But the farther I got, the more and more my hopes were diminished, and once he got to squealing about homosexuals, I had to stop watching.

I'm terrified that grown men and women, fully functional members of society, honestly believe that the devil is an actual being, inhabiting individuals, and that misbehaving children and the mentally ill are actually just possessed by demons. I cannot believe that they cheer and clap for a pastor condoning whipping kids with extension chords and treating the insane with nothing but prayer.

This made me so, so sad. It couldn't be reasonable, rational rejections of violent rap music on the basis of the teachings of Jesus, no. No, it was tha devul and tha homuhsexuals playin' organ fo' da choir, leaaadin' us to sin with the music of Lucifuh. Completely mindless conspiracy theory garbage bullshit with no redeeming qualities whatsoever...except, I guess, getting less people to buy crappy rap albums, which warrants the score.

Taken.

8.5/10

Yeah, I know it's not out in theaters yet, but I saw it online last night and it was pretty sweet! It starts off sorta slow, but the action once the abduction starts and Neelson is over-seas looking for his daughter kicks ass. I gotta say, I thought this movie wouldn't be that great, but it definitely was. Check it out!!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button -

I cannot say enough about this movie. I have never been one to complain about movie length, but it would have been a great deal better if they had cut a few minutes here and there. I give this movie a 9/10. It touches at all the right strings.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Had some funny moments, but nothing really special. There were no scenes which made my stomach hurt from laughter but there were some pretty funny, memorable lines in it.

6/10

Hot Fuzz - 10/10

I'd been hearing a lot about it from my friends, recently, who took a sudden obsession with it. After hearing "you ain't ever seen Bad Boys II!?" every day for a fortnight, I snatched it in HMV for £3 and, tbh, it was worth every penny (the whole 300 of them). It had a surprisingly different storyline to what I was imagining - it became slightly "out there" by the end (anyone who's seen it will know what I mean when I say "it's for the 'greater good', it is!") but it was a really worthwhile film to watch.

Resident Evil: Extinction - 8/10

Well I know Mila as an actor but I loved the first Resident Evil much more than I enjoyed this one. I guess it's because you don't get to see as much fighting as all the others. It's also unbelievably not frightening. The only reason I gave it an 8/10 is because Omar Eps is the man. Mila is always hot with her exoticness, but to be honest the most only action we saw was when she fought the mutated zombies in the desert.

I just hope the next one is better.
