Greetings everyone. I'm Cyanoria, you can call me that if you like.
Well, for a while I've been thinking about this forum and wondering if I would ever pluck up the courage to join. As you can see, I did it. *yay, me!*
I'm kinda wondering what comes next, tho. Am I qualified to talk about games? I spent my childhood playing around with the oldies starting with NES, then gradually going through systems (narrowly missing hoards of great games) up to Playstation 2, at which point I hit a brick wall, decided to forget about newer systems and limit myself exclusively to collecting games for this one. (well, not exclusively, my brother got a PS3, but it tanked within a year) I now have a shelf of those games, and am still hunting down the best ones.
So, that's my gaming history in a nutshell. Hello, I guess. :hiya:

It's good that you plucked up the courage, seeing as us other members generally eat each others brains for sustinance...:monster:

But yeah, I don't think you need to be quailified to talk about games, especially those you've played. At the end of the day, you are just expressing your opinions- and you don't need a degree for that.
 
Hey and welcome to the forums! Don't worry, there are obviously no such strict requirements. You can post your opinions as long as it is polite, reasonably explained and on-topic. There are also other subforums not relating to games. You can check out the GFX section, FF Clans, other discussion subforums, etc. Enjoy your stay! =)
 
Welcome to the forums! As others have said, don't worry about posting! ^_^ You can even revive a few old topics if you have something to add and the discussion interests you.

If you're interested in creative work - art, music, writing - then check out the Final Fantasy clans!! :D Uncle Ulty and I arrange FF-related quizzes and competitions every fortnight. :) Everyone is welcome to take part!

If GFX/Photoshop is more your thing, there are GFX clans too! Over in the FF clans we steer clear of GFX since the leaders of the GFX clans work very hard to devise lots of interesting, GFX-related challenges.

Ahem, well since this forum is not strictly games (as I've just learned *yay, me!*) I suppose I should introduce myself further.
I am a cook, mostly, and being such a mostly-chef, most of my meals turn out sorta kinda mostly okay-ish.
OKAY! IT STINKS! THERE. I SAID IT! *yay, me! Just go embarrass yourself! Yeah!*
I do hand-drawn art (pretty awesome, I think.) but I really would like to branch into... digital thingies.... *again, with the dumbness, girl?*

Yeah. That's all I can think of just right now. Oh, and I've got family issues, too. *Yeah, the sympathy card. Love it.* :P

My art? I'm not very abstract. I would like to say I draw things as they are, but I'm afraid manga, anime and video games have over-influenced me. *So tragic!*

why is that tragic, that awesome that your inspired by that ^_^ is that your drawing in your signature??

Nope. Sorry. I haven't figured out how to put my sketches as sigs yet. But I will soon. :)
If you're interested, I'm currently trying to figure out how to put a scan of one of my drawings here somewhere, but I have really bad directional senses. :/
You didn't answer about that 'family issues' club thing. I'm going to go ahead and assume it was a joke.

to add your drawings, you can make a thread over in spira, http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/forums/65-Artist-Cafe

to upload images, either use the forum's uploader or use photobucket or another image hosting site, by using something like photobucket you can add your drawings as a signature as well :yay: hope it helps

I have no idea how one would go about 'joining in' this shoutbox doohickey.
I have played most all FFs. I even tried Mystic Quest at one point (failed miserably). My favorite is either VIII or X... (though that card game in IX was fun, and I did like the pastels and medieval theme)

Not sure if you know what the shoutbox is or not, no offence or anything. On the front page, it's where all the chat is. That box not too far from the top. In terms of what to talk about...I personally just talk a load of random crap. Talk about anything from games to what you're eating to who you pushed under a bus on your walk home from work etc

Ah FF8 and 10. I love them both. FF8 had such good cinematics and music, while FF10 had a great party and battle system.

Welcome to the forums =o. Be sure to come check out the jrock introduction thread in the music studio.

And collecting PS2 games is by no means a bad thing. There are tons of great PS2 games. Hell, I still have ones I eventually want to go back and play
