i don't understand how kids these days, what generation Z ? Can say shit like games like Sonic CD, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy IV are dumb, boring and overrated...

I think that Spongebob Squarepants and Chowder has been damaging their brains... or they just don't know a good sexy game when they see one. Or the just think " old graphics ewwwww GROSS " and walk away...:ffs:

Those games are awesome and they're like wine. Aging with grace.

Kids gamers these days need a kick up the butt and develop good taste in gaming and to respect the classics. :monocle:
 
Yeah. I noticed my little brother wouldn't play FF1. He went straight for 7 and 8. Those games would probably appeal to him more on the DS, but you're right. Kids just go for the eye-candy. :confused: Ya can't stop 'em.

Preconception is the problem with these kids. If they were smart enough, they would be open minded and try everything, but you can't blame them for being the worms they're, it's just their nature.
 
They are spoiled for choice man. Theyre growing up with a console generation with awesome graphics and online multiplayer. You didnt get that back when we were kids. My first console a commodore64 and a sega megadrive. Then i moved onto the mighty playstation. I have many fond memories of all 3 of those consoles. Shining force 1 + 2 on megadrive. Treasure island on the commodore and i could name a couple dozen games i love for the ps1.

I have to say that whilst the games you listed are all awesome you cant blame them. When i was playing ff7 on my ps1 i certainly wasnt missing the old commodore and i wouldnt even think of playing an atari2600.

I love spongebob. That show has subtle jokes that no kid would understand.

But really who gives a shit. If theyre missing out its theyre loss. If i had a pound for every daft kid in the youtube comments saying something like CoD > all retro games i could retire. ( i like call of duty btw)

We can though. Just tie them to a chair and tell them to play and enjoy Chrono Trigger or ELSE you'll play Justin Bieber Baby song over and over till they go cray cray.

It's only coz they've grown up playing new gen games rather than the old ones most of us grew up playing.
They don't really know any better. But it is a shame...specially when you have a game of call of duty and the room is full of retarded little kids :sad2:
 
The CoD fanbase is by far the worst in the gaming cummunity. Its mostly the kids but theres some messed up 'adults'' too

I played chrono trigger on my DS about 6 weeks ago or so. Goooooooood times
 
I have to agree, it's all about what you're raised on that will determine how you think and what your interests are, since the younger generation is raised into a society that's so focused on aesthetics, that's how their interests will form, on what looks the most presentable, a case of style over substance. Can also be held accountable to the rising interest in online multiplayer over the single player the bulk of us were raised on. If you start with one thing, you want it better as you age and so forth. I remember back when I thought PS1 graphics were the shit :wacky:
