How Competitive Are You?

I'm the most competitive person I know. I can't stand back and watch other people beat me in areas where I know I excel, like drawing, GFX, and pretty much almost any other visually creative endeavour. I can't stand back at academic competitions either. I usually enter with the mindset that I'm going to win and I think that helps most of the time.

How about you?
 
I'm pretty competitive, but I hide it. If I lose, I don't make a big deal out of it out loud, but boy am I a mean bitch inside my own head.
I've mastered lying and cheating just to win.
Well.. not just to win. But it is fun realizing how oblivious people can be.
 
I am quite competitive in my opinion. I tend to compare my marks with my friends' and always glad if mine is higher. If their mark is higher or even equal to mine (even if it is the highest mark possible to get), I get disappointed...

But I am not the type who just can't, no matter what, admit losing.
It irritates me for some short while, but that's all.
What I hate more is when I don't get a perfect mark because of stupid mistakes.

That was like reading my own thoughts and opinions but in someone else's words. O.O
I'm absolutely the same way. But as I've said earlier, I like to cheat. :)
 
The only thing I'd say I'm really competitive in is sports, but then again, if you're not competitive about it you shouldn't really be playing it >.> I know you get all this play for fun shite but if you're not even vaguely competitive then what's fun about it :ness:

As for GFX, I honestly can't say I'm that fussed about winning and stuff, I am a little bit but as long as my work is top quality I honestly don't care. I have my sigs rated by Spira's Destiny site designer anyway >.>
 
It is dependent on the subject matter. If it is something physical like say running or soccer, I can be down right aggressive when I want to win. When I played keeper, before our city league fell apart, I would down right tackle people if they were in my area. I never ever took crap from anyone. I would give constructive criticism but could be pretty harsh if a defender didn't mark his man.

Running I am the same way, although I was slightly above average for most of my life. So I won maybe 70% of my races, nothing to special.

When it comes to gaming.. hmm, all depends. I'm pretty passive, but when its a 1v1 situation I 95% of the time come out of on topic. I go into a sort of zen like state where I focus on patterns of my enemy to exploit their game play. Even the best players out there have a pattern, whether it be the way they strafe, or lack of handling pressure. I never talk crap though. When I lose, I focus on where I went wrong. I don't really any regret though, just know that next time I'll do better. You can always learn something new from an old game. Take counterstrike or unreal tourney or team fortress classic for example..
 
Well, I am pretty competitive I guess. I don't compete in much, but the thing is, when I do, I am very competitive. XD

Like in the RPG at these forums for example, I have a very competitive nature towards it, even though I don't seem to survive very well in PvP battles, I take way too much damage, almost a suspiciously large amount for my stats... :stare:

I try to have the highest overall skill levels, most spells mastered, stuff like that. Oh yeah, can't forget my battle record, I try to have more battles than anyone else too. :wacky:
 
I'm a competitive person. I don't really make a big scene if I win or lose, but its always fun to try to win. If I lose, then I usually have a "shit happens" attitude and leave it at that.
 
I'm really not very competitive. When I play a game, I shoot for playing it the best I can, but when people start taking things too seriously, I start to lose interest very quickly. I'm a lot more of a single-player gamer in the first place, more about the overall experience than just trying to 'win'.
 
without competition , online games wud suck... im really competitive at everything ... the gym , capoeira (quit now might start back later )id even bet a friend i can win more bets in a week against him lol
 
I'm not very competitive.

I'm one of those people who, even though I lose, get satisfaction from the fact that someone else succeeded. :)

The only thing I come close to being competitive in is video games. Even then, it's only if I've been killed by that one player over and over again. Then, it's just a revenge killing aimed at outdoing them (i.e. TF2).
 
I'm competitive when it comes to physical activity and video games (if I feel that I'm good enough to win). I could care less if someone out performs me on a test, but it'll bother me greatly if, say, I strike out in a baseball game. Or if someone beats me in track and field race. Quite honestly, I'm a prick when it comes to sports and video games.

Haha...I can recall one time where a player on an opposing baseball team taunted me after a game in which he tagged me out trying to steal second base for the final out. Got in a scuffle right in the parking lot. Nothing major, but I was already fuming from having lost.
 
Very. I get frustrated at anyone who gets in the way of meXDD so yes, I can be a poor sport. I have a lot of drive in me and when I want something-- and someones trying to beat me at it weather that be sports etc I just cant stand someone out doing me. XD. im also very stubborn and yeah if i do for some odd reason, lose then I would want a rematch or say that I won :P
 
I'm the least competitive person I know.

I hated it when we were forced to play school sports and what not. You'd get all those wierd kids who'd yell at you for screwing up the game and whatever. They were so competitive and it wasn't even a real game. It was just sport class, not a real game in which you were going to win anything.

Even with other things I'm not all that competitive. Most competitive people that I've met get rather mean if you get in their way. It's rather childish, especially when it can hurt someones feelings. <_<
 
I'm not too competitive really. :lew: I'd rather have fun and tend to joke about it when I lose or make a mistake. If someone's better than me at something, or manages to win at something on one occasion, then good on them! :D I'll happily praise them for their victory. :) I find being competitive far too stressful! ;)

Despite that, there are still occasions when losing is embarrassing and/or annoying... I can't think of examples now... >_<
 
I am not very competitive, I don't think anyways. I don't really like being compared to other people, and have no real interest in head to head competition. Winning is awful, because you have to stand there like a prick. The other person tried their best and failed, it's a horrible feeling. So no, I am not competitive
 
I'm very competitive I love to win and I get very angry when I lose. I also get angry if i am on a team with people and they are causing us to lose, sometimes though I'm ok with losing, like if I am the cause of the teams loss... then it becomes ok :wacky:

I am also a sore winner, once I win I'll rub it in every ones face and declare myself the best.
 
Ugh, if it's something physical, I really won't care. If I do try and care, I'd probably faint and pass out before I can take action. I'm very lazy XD

However, when it comes to creative writing, I own dat. There was this one girl in school that always tried to one up me in everything I friggin did. If I wrote 5 pages, she wrote 6. If I read 2 books, she read 3. To top it off, she had a damn printer for assignments, so the teacher instantly gave her more credit than us. She would always brag about how great she was and say our work didn't compare to hers, it really did annoy me. But on the last day of school, my big paper I wrote ended up on the wall in the hallway! Not hers! That was the ultimate form of "eff you". After a whole year of her bragging and bragging, she got served by me!

So basically, SHE is the reason I became competitive. We were one upping each other the whole year.
 
If we're talking about in real life, then I can't let my friends beat me at the things I consider myself good at. If it's sports, though, I don't care about that. They can be as good as they want and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I also don't PvP in games, so I'm not competitive at all in that regard.
 
So competitive it hurts. I'm stubborn enough to want to win an argument about things that are obviously wrong.
I was always competitive in sports, but still never did well :/ . I was a pretty good natural at sport too, but I never got interested in it :hmmm: .

Anyways...it normally leads to people disliking me a little bit when I'm in a bad enough mood to argue with them over nothing and want to win every stupid thing. But who would ever want to lose without putting everything into the competition/argument/etc :hmmm:
