Hello all! My name is Lily. Brand spanking new to the forum, but not to the series. I started with VIII when I was only nine, back in 1999. I'm sure that has much to do with the fact that it's also my favorite. As far as my favorite character, I chose Rinoa since she's one half of my OTP, but by far, Seifer intrigues me the most.

I found out about these forums through Mitsuki, whom I met at the Distant Worlds concert in LA this past Wednesday :) Excited to be here!

PS. Shameless plug. I also write fanfiction and one of my main fandoms is FFVIII :) I have a 100 Theme Challenge series of one shots that focuses on Squall/Rinoa, and my multi-chapter story is Seifer/Quistis.

It was a pleasure meeting you at Distant Worlds. :) I still think about that night, and how it was over a little too soon. Hope you enjoyed your time as much as I did though!

100 Theme Challenge...is this a photo challenge of some sort? It sounds intriguing. I will definitely check out your stuff.
 
Humble welcome from an anonymous peasant here who would never have the chance to go to something like Distant Worlds. :sad:

It was over way too soon for me! I was expecting three-four hours so I was sad when it was just over two. I could've easily stayed all night listening to entire OSTs from each game!

Also, the 100 Theme Challenge varies depending on whether you do art, graphic art, photography, writing, poetry, etc. It's basically a long list of themes that you focus on for each piece of work. So for mine, it's just 100 small one-shots (around 1500 words or so) that revolve around Squall and Rinoa. I found the list in a thread on fan fiction.net's forums but there are tons out there catered to specific randoms. I had a hard time finding one for FFVIII so I used the first good one that I could find.

Welcome to FFF :monocle:! It's so interesting to know that Mits recruited someone from Distant Worlds ha! FF8 is also a firm favourite of mine (those train and sorceress assassination sections!). Hope you enjoy your time here ma'am.

Had I been given the chance to go up on stage I would've announced to the crowd to join our community. Really!

Welcome to the forum. =] The good old days of FanFiction.net... I started there in 2005, it's how I met all my online friends from there on out, really.

Very nice! I joined sometime in 2008 but just recently started posting work this year.
 
Sheesh, you had to meet Mits first of all people? Then you will do just fine here! I kid, Mits is the matron of the forum, and always takes care of us all. Welcome to forums, I hope you enjoy your stay. If you want to talk about art, etc.. there are quite a bit of folks where are into graphics design. I'm into the web code side of things, so I'm a bout as boring as "Hello, World."

Anyway holler at all of us if you need anything!

Yeah, she was super nice! Thank you! I used to graphic design & code HTML but I no longer dabble in that. Writing, college and life takes up most of my time now!
