Admitting you like or don't like something many other FF fans do/don't.

I'll give an example.

I think Seymour from FFX was a good villain. He was characterized well and the hatred of his voice-actor is undeserved. He had some great lines, especially during the final battle. "You should thank me! Your death means your father's life."

Now your turn.

I hated Tidus.

I did not like his attitude. He seemed too happy all the time and I thought that he could be more serious about things. Many people liked that he was like that and that made him a likable character, but I thought that made him annoying.

I don't like Cloud and Aeris as a couple :gasp: At all. Maybe it's just me but I didn't honestly think he seemed that interested in her in the game. And she only loved him because he reminded her of someone else, so...:/

Sorry :)

While FFXII's story isn't quite universally hated, it is under-appreciated. I however, rather like FFXII's story in general.

OK, perhaps Vaan is a crap protagonist and that interactions between the characters are about as well thought out as a house made of jelly - but I had no problems with the political aspect of the story and the Shakespearean-like dialogue many of the characters use. It makes Ivalice unique in that aspect.

The mainly politics-driven story was quite fresh. It made the villains look less generic and evil - in fact depending on your political beliefs, you can even justify Vayne's imperial intentions. I have no problem with the lack of actual romance within the main characters. Not every FF game needs this aspect. I'm just so glad there isn't a VaanxAshe pairing. :wacky:

I think everything to do with FFVII (minus the original game itself) sucks horribly. Advent Children is tolerable, but everything else stinks. The main game is the best thing since sliced bread, mind.

I think Final Fantasy VI is the weakest of the SNES generation, despite being the prototype for modern Final Fantasy games.

I liked final fantasy 12, and didnt mind Vaan :P
tons of stuff to do in that game, the hunts wer awesome and challenging
Vaan didnt annoy me. i jus dont get why hes considered the main character when hes stuck in the back 90% of the time. w/e it doesnt make me hate him

I thought of another one--I liked the Tidus/Jecht storyline in X a million times better than the Tidus/Yuna one :D I actually cried over the emotional Tidus/Jecht scenes and not at all in the Tidus/Yuna ones. I like a good love story in a game here and there, but...well...this one wasn't handled that well IMO. It could've been a lot better.

I actually like the character Steiner. He was different from the typical warrior character in that he was a little goofy.

Dare I say it? I wasn't a fan of Tifa. Her character seemed rushed and annoyed me several times in the game. And I think in the end, I just would not get along with her if she were real. And I thought Yuffie was a much tougher character. Which leads to...

Yuffie is my favorite FF7 character =P and one of my favorite FF characters.

I also love Cait Sith and Barret as characters.

I'm not that big of a Sephiroth fan either, even when the game originally came out. when everyone fanboy/fangirled over him, I wondered why.

I don't like Crisis Core or Zack. Zack's story seemed way too simular to Cloud's with simular events happening. Did the writers lose all their creativity. And I'm sick of people saying that Cloud copied Zack when it is technically the other way around.

I liked Wakka as a character.

I liked Eiko.

I liked Quina's inclusion in IX soley because everyone that first looks at him/her goes WTF!

I love FF8 and it's sometimes holed filled story. I think that it is the greatest FF ever. And I love Rinoa. And Squall. I love them all.

While I'm on it, I hate FF7 and never understood why it was popular. I hate everyone in it but Aerith and I barely like her.

So there are my true confessions

i think XII's open field design was better than the overworld map.

i don't think bahamut is the BEST SUMMON EVAR.

i like scathe more than ultima.

i like flare more than ultima.

i like choco/mog more than ultima.

before she turned to the good side, beatrix is a total b*tch IMO.

i think the cloister of trials were a waste of time.

i like FFXII.

i like FFXII's OST.

i like vaan.

i think that's all of them.

I hate Titus, he is a pretty boy, and I hate pretty boys, and his outfit is gay.
I somewhat like crystal chronicles, I just don't want to play through more than once.
I like Dirge of Cerberus, even though everyone thinks its crap.
I'm not a big Cloud fan, I prefer Vincent, Zack, and Aeris.
Ifrit is my favorite summon, even though he's not the most powerful.

I think Tidus is generally disliked by a lot of FF fans...

But I have more.

I liked Realm (VI) I thought her weapon was cool and unique.

I liked Gau because he was a unique character. And I even liked his beserking abilities.

Even though I do not think it was executed well I do like Squall and Rinoa as a couple. I think Rinoa really did bring out the better part of Squall and he would need a girl like her. I just wish they developed their romance better rather than Save Rinoa!

Adding to that, I liked Squall as a character because the nice guy everyone loves gets kind of annoying after a while XD. I liked having a main character that was a total ass.

I don't like 90% of the character designs in Advent Children.

I didn't like Advent children in general. The only part I liked was when the party fought Bahamut.

I claim FFVIII as my least favorite main Final Fantasy game, but it's the game I want to replay the most.

I originally flew through the game and didn't spend enough time soaking in the plot and the characters. I felt the characters did not have as much of a personality as I wanted and I could not connect with a single one of them. The enemies ticked me off and I couldn't find one I hated. Seifer was a good opponent, but not main-boss material.

However, 8 years after playing it the first time and hating it, I find myself wanting to play it more than any other game right now, except completing FFXIII.

I didn't like FFX. There. I said it. :mokken:

The voice acting annoyed me, the characters annoyed me and I didn't particularly care for the story. Also, Jecht was an ass. He really was. And Blitzball was a shit minigame. That said, I did like the battle system, the sphere grid and the graphics.

I really liked Vayne as a villain. Sure, he could have been a bit more developed like 98% of the characters in XII but I still liked him. It was nice to see a change from the whole "I want to destroy the world" villain theme.

I didn't think Sephiroth was all that great a villain. I also didn't think Cloud was a very interesting character.

That's all I can think of for now. :hmmm:

When I was younger, I used to ship SabinxCeles from VI. I don't recall why, since they don't have any discernible interest in each other.

I also thought Blank from IX was somewhat attractive, even though you could never see his whole face. ^_^

Oh, and Sephiroth is overrated. I actually felt kind of sorry for him more than anything.

I didn't like FFX, nor do I like FFVII :hmmm:

I know people seem to LOVE those games. I just couldn't get into X AT all. Tidus is a whiny annoying brat who i'd like to kill about 90% of the game.
I actually CHEERED at the end of the game when he jumped off the airship and went to the farplane.

As for FFVII, I think it is HIGHLY overrated. I've been playing it, and I don't see what all the damn commotion is about. It's got a sub par story at best, which is why I don't see why there are so many damn spinoffs and shit spewing from it.

Also, I love FFVIII and FFXII which apparently are the two most hated.

The Junction system is pure genius and the dumbass who got rid of it should be shot frankly. The Draw system is wonderful as well. EVERYTHING about FFVIII was perfect and should have NEVER been changed.

I HATE the Sphere grid. I love the License board. it's LOADS Easier to get LP than spheres.

Vayne is a great villain. MUCH better than Seymour.

I think the whole LTD about FFVII is stupid. Cloud doesn't love either of them. Aerith loved Zack, and Tifa DOES love Cloud. but in a motherly fashion.

that's all for now. but I'll think of more.

I really love Tidus.

He's my favourite character out of the entire Final Fantasy franchise. He's just so fun and cheerful and I love being able to play as him as the hero. <3

Though I do agree that his voice is annoying at times. He really could of done with a voice actor that wasn't going through puberty at the time. >.<

---

I don't like Rinoa. I think she's a bitch and a bit too spoiled and yeah. That's why I don't like her and that's what slightly ruined the game for me. <_<

I shall be back with more when I think of more!

I like the heroes more than the villians in most games I saw my cousins play. It could be my Catholic upbringing saying this but I just don't like feeling sorry for the villains.

I also didn't mind the voices of FFX it was just the syncing that annoyed me.

I love FFX. It's my absolute favorite FF game of all time. I don't care what anybody says. I like the voice acting. I love Tidus. He's my 2nd favorite character in the entire game, with Lulu being my first and Yuna being my third. I don't care what anybody says. I love the fact that we actually see a main char/hero who's actually positive and cheerful and not moody or brooding or emo. I don't see how people can say Tidus is 'whiny' when I think a majority of people thrown into his position would cry like little babies without their bottles, but whatever. *shrugs* I love the atmosphere of the game, I love the gameplay, the Sphere Grid and I don't mind most of the cloister of trials. I love the music, it's very moving and beautiful. The scenes are powerful and moving as well.

~~~~~~~
I used to like FFVII but here recently I HATE IT. I'm so SICK of hearing about it. I can't stand hearing about it. I'm tired of Cloud being some kind of poster boy, I'm sick of hearing about the remake possibility constantly, every single day, and I'm sick of the milking. Why can't they just give it a rest and work on something else? Also? I hate the Cloud and Tifa pairing. I'm sorry, but I hate hate HATE it. ^^ It's not as tragic and heartfelt as the Cloud and Aerith pairing at all (granted I'm sick of Cloud in general). So yeah. Please don't argue with me about it. That is all.
I actually like the majority of the soundtrack to XIII. Some of it is unbearable but a lot of it I absolutely love. You can tell Masashi co-composed the music for X because some of the music sounds like it would fit perfectly in it or had little bits in it that sounded as though they were from some of the X pieces.which brings me to the fact that X is my favorite, I think VII is a bit overrated, i think maybe now if they did make a remake of it it would deserve the hype it gets in a way.
VIII was disliked a lot, but I absolutely loved it.
XII was also hated on, I didn't love it as much as the other games but it was bearable.
Crystal Chronicles deserves a bit more credit, although it wasn't a "proper" final fantasy, it was good in itself and I have replayed it over and over again because I love it and the soundtrack.
AND one last thing: I liked X-2. don't shoot me.
