Hello everyone!

I am new to the site. I actually found the place via Google search for something, and this site popped up, so I poked around and decided to join. I have been a fan of the FF series for a long time now. A long time... heh. I was one of those people watching E3 2006 on my computer the day of the event, saw the Versus XIII trailer, and immediately wanted it more than XIII. 10 years later, and I am more hyped for this game than I should be. But, oh well!

I'm a huge fan of JRPG's in general, including Tales of games, Shin Megami Tensei, Star Ocean, Legend of Heroes, etc. and a fan of a few other WRPG's. I enjoy action games, adventure, all kinds of stuff.

Well, I hope to make some new friends while we all wait for FFXV!

Have to say so far my favorites are Vesperia and Persona 4 from the respective genres. Trying to be excited for SO5 but with my money situation it looks like a game I won't be able to get so my hype is dying down.

But with that aside welcome to our little corner of insanity here, hope you enjoy your stay. If any questions feel free to ask, we promise not to tar and feather you, at least till you've been here for a month.

Props for Vesperia being your favorite Tales! That's mine too! As is Persona 4 from the SMT lineup lol. I hope you'll be able to play SO5 soon

Glad to see another Tales and SO fan! It's awesome to see both franchises still running great, considering the split a while back. Have you watched the P3 movies at all yet?

Yeah, there aren't many franchises that are still going completely strong, but I feel that Tales definitely is right now; it may be seen as a bit repetitive by a lot of people, but I'm not too bothered so long as it's done well (and I felt that Graces was grand if that's an indication of newer Tales games). As for Star Ocean, here's what I think of what I HAVE played:

SO1 - I loved the remake of this! It's really basic, but the artstyle and music are all so nice, along with the really addictive battle system.

SO2 - I've only played a bit of this (as far as a certain tsunami to be as spoiler-free as possible). I love this too! I need to restart and play to the end next time since it was a good year ago that I played it.

SO3 - Rented when I was really little (from Blockbuster, showing the age lmao). I can't remember a thing.

SO4 - I played up to when you get that little girl mage and stopped. I couldn't put up with how distributed the save points were, though I've been told it isn't that bad so maybe I just played too slowly. Still, I loved the environments and music.

SO5 - Like the trailers. We'll see .

I haven't seen the P3 movies yet since only the second film is on Netflix (weird). I could look elsewhere but with my anime backlog...sometime lol. I've seen the P4 anime though and thought that was reeeeally good .

I've never seen the P4 anime, despite being a huge fan. I watched the first 5 episodes or so, and basically abandoned it It was spot on in story, and captured the same elements the game did.

I'll definitely try SO4 again but just like with ye olde anime backlog, my game backlog is bad lol. I'd rather play through 2 and 3 first though .
