Playstation Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer.

I want a PS3 purely for this game. I watched the bathroom trailer, where you have to make the female character more appealing in order to get close to someone for information. It looked amazing and the graphics are out of this world.

When I heard there would be mild nudity, I seriously didn't expect they'd actually have her naked, and cameras angled so you get a lot of her chest. :O

I'm not sure if I've played a game that has anything like that in it.

I watched that, but I haven't watched the intro yet. I'm not sure if I want to watch that now, or if it is better to wait until the game comes out so not to spoil anymore.

I'll probably yield in a few days time and just watch it anyway I guess.

I've seen some trailers yesterday and it's really got me hooked now, problem being with Final Fantasy XIII coming out like 9 days later I'm probably not going to have the funds for it :hmmm: There's a demo out this coming Thursday though which may keep me occupied. You can get an early demo though if you complete the 4 day challenge, once this site goes live again. I'll shot some codes round in PMs for the demo when I get them :ryan:

I've pre-ordered this game now, and it should be arriving within a week and a bit I guess. :O

The demo was pretty good. I've played it twice. I got more information from the prostitute in the first time round, but still didn't get everything. The second time I messed it up and she told me to get out. :D

I quite like the forensic glasses and glove of FBI agent Norman Jayden. It seems like it'll be quite ace to scan crime scenes etc, and pick up certain trails or clues that would be missed with the naked eye. On the otherhand... It is worrying that these glasses might do all the work for you. Hopefully that isn't the case.

Regardless, if the glasses do do all the work, and we want a challenge, we can easily just kill him off. That's the beauty of this. :D

The demo is out? I will have to download it then.

I just learned about this game today. I have to admit, it has definitely caught my interest so I will check out the demo. If I enjoy the demo I will definitely buy it however I doubt it will be anytime soon with so many releases this month and next it will have to wait.

Heavy Rain looks like an awesome game and im gonna buy it probably. Oh and the shower trailer didn't bother me tbh but would this game be Rated Adults only because of it? A demo came out on Psn and I have yet too try it. Gonna wait to buy this though because im most interested in Final Fantasy XIII :gasp:

Depends on where people are, but it is rated 15, mature, 18 etc in different places.

I think 15 years olds are allowed to see breasts over here, but anything else (or any more than just nudity) would likely have pushed it up over here (please don't take that as a pun :O).

I'm pre-ordering it sometime this week, didn't think i'd be interested but after watching a few gameplay vids my interest piqued.

Hopefully, its not too short i haven't found out how long it is yet and some have the game already. Mom and pop stores are selling them before street date i guess.

I only heard about this game about a week ago when I randomly watched demo gameplay by DarkSydePhil on Youtube. I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it.

It seems like it's emphasis is on story and the gameplay will only add to the inter-activeness IMO. I like it how
if a character dies then story continues. You can even have all of them die and see a different ending
. Not sure if it really will be a game that you can 'complete'. The vast number of choices involved could lead to hundreds of endings.
I did see a short trailer and there were bits that really reminded me of the Jigsaw Killer from the Saw series. :hmmm:

Now my problem is... I want to get Bioshock so I can understand Bioshock 2, get Heavy Rain AND FF13. :ffs: Oh dear.

I don't blame you. It seems as though all of the games I really want come out within 2 months. But I can't buy them alll of course.

I just got finished playing the demo and now I have to say I can't wait for it come out. I have to admit I was skeptical about this at first but after playing it, I fell in love with the game.

I'd say buy Heavy Rain, Bioshock then Final Fantasy XIII if you're determined to get all 3. :wacky: Heavy Rain is probably going to be the best PS3 game until GOW3 unless there's something in-between that I've forgotten about and Bioshock is probably quite cheap now so it won't set you back too much.

Just downloaded the demo, but I've yet to try it out.

I thought that my interest would fade for this game, but I keep getting pulled back in with all the news I see about it. I'm definitely going to have to check this out, but just to reiterate, there are a lot of games coming out around this time so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it right at release.

I love this video released today. It's nice how they're getting views of intelligent individuals (bar, Samuel L Jackson) and applying it to Heavy Rain without directly having to talk about the game, other than the directors.

I got the game yesterday, and I have to admit I'm still pretty blown away at this game. It looks gorgeous, even on a busted TV like mine, and the story is pretty amazing so far as well, even if a few things don't add up to me yet.

The only complaint I have thus far, though, is that I have noticed the childrens VA could use some work :hmmm:

I'd just like to let everyone know that I would advise against checking Heavy Rain on wikipedia.

I did yesterday and the title of the game was changed to "Heavy Rain: [insert name] is the Origami Killer!".

I don't know if it's true but I may have just ruined the game's ending for me. Since Wikipedia can be edited by anyone I wouldn't be surprised if it was. :sad3:

Just a heads up.

EDIT: I checked again and it looks like it's been changed. Still, I would avoid places that could potentially ruin the game for you until you beat the game. (unless you don't care :hmmm:)

Ouch. :gonk:

Thanks for the heads up as I was considering checking the wikipedia to confirm the release date as I'm pretty sure it is today here.

That would totally suck if that was ruined for me, and would potentially destroy a lot of the experience. I want to be able to work this one out myself, and not have some git throwing the answer out there because he thinks he is clever.

I can check for you.

Feb 26 for the UK it says.

I'm hopeful that it's wrong though but it does look some DB has edited the post to ruin it for people. The name that was used doesn't make a whole lot of sense either but yeah...

The game will still be a good one and there are loads of other mysteries to discover even if the biggest one has been potentially ruined.

I hope for your sake it is wrong :sad3: I would be very much upset if someone ruined it for me as well...! I'm so curious about it, I'm up at 5:15 in the morning still playing this :gonk: I have two different save files already, for different choices...

Although, I do have a hunch as to who it is. :hmmm: The game tries to make it obvious, but I don't believe it is so!

I know who the Origami Killer is! I'm sure some of you know already but I'm not going to post it here, even in spoilers. I'm just glad that no-one can spoil it for me now. I must say I did not expect this person at all, but now looking at the rest of the game and what had happened before it makes a lot of sense.

The ending was really chilling, and came together well... At least the ending I got did. :D

I'm going to have to play through it again and see what changes occur... There were so many times I think I nearly died, and so many choices I could have made but didn't.

Love this game, even though I haven't even played it myself yet.

Jeff/Pockets is doing a playthrough on YouTube, :8F: which I adore, 'cause I'm one of those sad people lacking the playstation three-ness. =/ So even if I wanted to buy the game, it'd be as good as useless to me.

So basically I'm just following the game through his playthrough. :D Looks great, I gotta agree with the voice-acting, but as I've told Pockets, I think they put a lot of Emotion in some parts, which I really like.

Definitely looking forward to buying this game myself someday. ^^
