Playstation Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer.

Was it ever explained...
When and why his blackouts just randomly disappeared after a certain point? I would think that with him stressing over where Shaun is would cause him to have more blackouts than usual.

Yeah I think what Pockets said might be right. :pockets:

He might have had fewer
blackouts because he was determined to find his son, and his panic and determination took over. His grief for the death of Jason wasn't the focus anymore. What was important to him after Shaun's dissapearance was finding and saving Shaun. So since Shaun was on his mind pretty much all of the time then his mind had no time to shut down and blackout
.

I started this game tonight/early this morning with Steve and it was nothing like I expected.

It's very involved with character interaction and I can't believe how much you have to do on the controller just to get them to do something. XD

It's very interesting so far. I had to put it away simply because I was getting tired.
I'm up to where Ethan loses Shaun and I think he just had his second black out.

I'm glad you're liking this game! I absolutely loved it, and if I think you've already taken the first stuff to falling in love with a new game :ryan:

Has anyone else downloaded the new DLC for Heavy Rain? It's the first of the Heavy Rain Chronicles additional stories and features Madison Paige in a little prequel.

It's quite good.. I can't say how long it is though as I sort of got stabbed in the neck and died. :ness:

I don't think it is very long though, which is expected in a cheap DLC (it's only £1.99 or something like that). It's good though, but I'd only recomend it to fans of Heavy Rain that want a bit more backstory to Madison Paige, and also want to have fun playing about with another scene. There's a few things in the scene that can change and there are multiple endings.

I've actually owned the DLC for a while now, here in the US if you pre-order the game you get the DLC earlier and for free, but I thought it was a nice, although that house was freaking creepy as a hell. Especially once you see the guy's "collection". Nonetheless I enjoyed it for what it was worth.

Spoilers below

I managed to get the ending where Madison manages to sneak out my first time. I didn't even know there was a phone in the bedroom to be honest.

I loved this game I was watching my partner playing it and my friend came over the next day and I thought he'd enjoy it and we ended up playing together for about two days and compleated it. The ending was awsome I just wish my other half hadn't used his police skills to figure out who the kidnapper was.

what does DLC stand for?

DLC = Download content.

That of which I would get if I weren't too cheap xD I'd have to purchase a PSN card first, or use my card, which I prefer not to do. :hmmm:

ohhhh I get it wow special moment!

I must admit I'm too stingy to pay for stuff like that as well even though I have no idea if its any good or not I still won't pay for it until I finish uni I know £1.99 doesn't seem like alot but that could buy some of my shopping.

I was going to get it, but seeing how short it is and how much it's going for here i decided to not get it. It's 4.99 here, as much as i am a fan of heavy rain i just don't see myself paying for a 15 min scenario.

Yeah, not worth it if you ask me. If they drop it a buck i'll get it but until then nope. I want more than 15 mins of playtime, thats just not enough out of a DLC if you ask me.

wow its only 15 minutes long! and they expect you to pay for it, thats extortion. I'm glad I didn't buy it if its only that short geez for that price I'd expect at least an hour if not more.

Just bought this game, and it's updating as we speak. I'ma watch the beginning in a second, and am really looking forward to playing it. xD

I've seen the whole playthrough on YouTube already, shame on me. xD But I couldn't wait. It looks really fun! :D

I'll stay updated on how I like it :ryan:

Also, the game DEFINITELY is longer than 15 minutes. -.- That was quite unneeded to say. :gasp:

Also alot more expensive then 4,99 o_O Wth?

5$ for this game would be awesome for this game but unfortunately I think they're talking about the downloadable content for this game. Despite the fact that I got it for free I would have paid 5$ for the DLC. Not only is 5$ cheap nowadays, provided you have income, but since most of us spent 60$ for a 10 hour game with multiple endings, 5$ for a 15 minute DLC scenerio with 5 different possible outcomes is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

Does it add to the story though?

I mean if I pay for summut I expect something in return just because it has 5 differant endings doesn't mean anything!

Sort of... I still haven't completed it yet as I got knifed and died. :dead:

But the backdrop is Madison Paige investigating a potential suspect for the Origami Killer in order to get her story.

It's just a little intro thing for Madison Paige I guess which shows how she followed up on the Origami Killer before the game began.

I think it's still more than 15 minutes long though... I mean it took me longer than that and I died. I guess it depends on whether you run through it or if you (like me) prefer to look around in all the rooms.

Even if you run through it, it will be longer than 15 minutes - that's just ridiculous.

I stopped after a bit of playing though (too Uncharted 2 addicted, LOL).

The controls are awesome though, I really like how they work so far. xD Feels so realistic. :D

It took me about a half hour on my first time but then again I took my time and explored the whole house. I am sure that if I just ran straight through it I could finish it in 15 minutes or less. That house was creepy as hell. But I don't know what was creepier

Spoiler alert

Seeing the dead body in the bathroom or the stuffed bodies

Sounds intresting but I thought the game sorta explained stuff in enough, I guess its just preferance and what people think its worth paying for. I thought did a great job.

Well the actual game did explain it enough, and I guess therefore the DLC wasn't needed for understanding that. It's just a little additional thing though. The guy she investigates is creepy, and it's quite a good action scenario that in my opinion is worth playing if you want a little bit extra from Heavy Rain. Not essential, but enjoyable nonetheless.
