Hair Dye

I remember when i was like 14 i got blonde streaks in my hair thinking it would look cool. Ended up absolutely hating it hahaha. Never again. Il stick my boring brown :grin:
I think coloured hair on girls is really nice though. Dark reds look hot.
 
I get my hair highlighted whenever it needs it done, which is usually around every 6 months or so. I have Brown/Blonde hair, it is kind of brown but a very blonde brown. I get golden blonde highlights in my hair and it looks very good, or so everyone tells me.
I am going to dye my beard tomorrow though. Normally I would shave, but I'd quite like to grow an Osama Bin Laden-esque beard. At the moment it is a bit ginger which looks shit, so I will dye it black.

My hair is bright red, and it looks a-mazing! :mokken:

So I went the whole of 2010 and most of 2011 without dying my hair, until July when I dyed it red, and it's been red ever since, and I love it :awesome:.
I've been using the home colour kits, but I might just start getting it done professionally again.
 
The first time I got my hair colored was about 3 years ago. I had it done in a salon. Since then I color it myself since it gets more and more expensive as my hair gets longer. :rage: I have naturally black hair so I started safe with dark brown and everytime, I'd just keep dyeing it a lighter shade. But this year I got adventurous, tried out auburn shades and reddish browns.

Right now, it's more red than brown. The next time I'm recoloring, I want to try bleaching it and dyeing it ginger. I'm still thinking about it though. I haven't actually met anyone who's done a decent job with bleaching so I can't get instructions. :gonk:
 
When I was 14 my mum put two red streaks in the front of my hair. I didn't dye my hair again until I was 17, and went bright red for 6 months. Then left it for a while, and during my A levels, my mum decided to put bright red streaks through my hair...and it turned pink. She did it again about 3 weeks later because this was a dye that bleached and coloured in one go, so it faded quickly. Then I had what looked like naturally pink and white hair with the odd dark brown streak in it. It felt like I had pink hair forever, but in reality it was only about six weeks- then I dyed it light brown again. I've had brown, red, and black hair at different times of my life, and dyed my hair reddish brown again last week, but that was the first time I'd dyed my hair this year- the longest time I've gone without dying my hair since I was 18...
 
Every chance i get i dye my hair black, everyone tells me it already is but it isn't they are clearly colorblind. :hmph:

Yeah it makes my pale skin even more noticeable but i don't give a flying fook, if i had the choice to keep it black forever i would.
 
I have very, very dark brown hair. At the moment I have a few bleached streaks in it, but that's cos I tried to do blue streaks, first time I did it they didn't hold, and I haven't tried them again even though my blue dye is on the kitchen windowsill

Problem is, I've discovered that I've started going grey at the grand old age of 26...so I'm gonna have to start dying my hair a fairly normal colour soon...I was sad about the grey hair first, but my mum has the same colour hair as me, and she started going grey at 19...


Then again, my dad has very dark brown hair too, although not as dark as mine has ever been, and he didn't start going grey til he was 38...so I guess I've got the "compromise" gene
 
When I was 13-16 I liked to get my hair dyed a lot. When I was 13 I had a bleach blonde Eminem-esque style and, in retrospect, it looked horrendous. When I was around 14 I got copper highlights or something and it looked brilliant. I also had tips at one stage too. The last time I got my hair coloured was when I was 18. I had blonde highlights, I thought it looked good.

I haven't gotten my hair coloured since then. I'm not against the idea of getting it done but meh.
 
Oh man, hair dye. I've pretty much dyed my hair every color under the sun except blue and green. For a few years I kept it varying shades of red, but right now it's a purply brown with purple highlights on each side of my head and in my bangs. I don't know how long I'll keep this before going back to red, though.

While I like the purple//brown, I spent $120 for a girl to dye my hair TWICE because it kept washing out with one rinse. I don't know if it was the girl who sucked or her dye, but meh. Either way, I'm not impressed with the money spent for a quick fade.

We'll see. I do love dying my hair, though. Bleaching it, not so much.
 
I dyed my hair black a few times when I was younger. Then finally went full on blue for about 6 months. After it eventually fading into a seaweed green color I shaved it all off. Since then I've been going with my natural (brown) and its about halfway down my back now.

Late but, where do you get your dyes from, ive been wanting one in a really bold colour for ages, the ones ive seen in Boots that claim to be bright blues and pinks look shit, Im also wary about having to bleach my hair first... if i have to do that then i might just have to give the whole idea a miss ):

Ive got a dark red that im doign latetr though :)
 
I have ombre hair at the moment, so it's brown and as it gets closer to the tips it becomes blonde. Did it myself, it turned out to be so easy. :8F: I'm planning on dyeing my hair black to black and ombre it again because it looks so nice as I've seen on google images. :gonk:
 
I wish I could dye my hair red or white/silver, but I avoid doing it for social reasons (as I avoid doing many other things social reasons).
 
I've only dyed my hair once in my life, with a wash-out auburn color. It looked nice and all but it was way more trouble than it's worth, and in general I don't like to alter my body much. :c
 
I haven't dyed my hair since last December, and it was my natural colour. I did it because the sun lightened my hair quite a bit, and it was super fried at the time and it just looked awful. So I dyed it back to my natural dark brown colour. Before that though, I didn't dye my hair in years. Last time was in junior high, and it was red. Just because a friend of mine had a lot of red left over and didn't want to waste it, so I volunteered.
 
I never dyed my hair before simply because I don't like the idea of having lead on my hair and not to mention my parents will complain if I did dye my hair, but if I was to choose a colour I would dye my hair red.
 
I've dyed my hair like, 4-5 times :wacky:

I hate my friggin' natural color. It's ugly D: So i've tried the dye, and its great! Until it fades -__- or when my roots start showing! >.< I also have gotten highlights too! it can be a real pain the ass though, so I think i'ma stop for a while.

Not to mention, its incredibly bad for my hair :monster:
 
I used to want my hair dyed, something simple like high lights. But my mom would never let me. (She thinks you should always keep your natural color...) There was a time where I really wanted a deep red (like Ariana Grande) but I'm not sure if it would look very good on me. Currently I do want to dye my hair about a few shades lighter, just to make my hair more distinctly blonde. But I don't really have time. So I might in the future but I never have yet.
 
i bought some purple hair dye today, but my hair desperately needs cutting, so Il have to get that done first. Just never seem to have the time ):
 
I want to dye my hair so badly but I know nothing about anything to do with hair. I don't know what would compliment me at all. BLEH
