Going to England...

Also, go further North and you've got Newcastle, cracking place. Then theres Glasgow and Edinburgh up in Scotland.

If you stay in London its a wasted trip. You'll get bored of the tourist attractions in two days.

Oi we're alright. :mokken:

No not really London is very impersonal. Seriously though barely any city can beat us for history.

I think it would depend on what part of London.

I only went for a short time, but I accidentally bumped into someone once. I apologised immediately and he looked like he'd never heard one in his life. Or maybe it was the fact I was from up north. xD

The place has a lot of history and I like reading about it, but I found it impersonal and cold. I'm use to big cities but the cities I have lived in or like to go to have a lot more character to them. Hamburg instead of Berlin, Belfast instead of Dublin, Manchester instead of London. etc.

London is so big its character is confusing to me, and its too bloody expensive. And the pubs and clubs are sausage fests.

London is impersonal and cold? You've just listed one of its best features XD - besides the original poster did say they were visiting more than just London.

And Manchester can't be better, Man Utd play there!

Well, it was decided that this thread is more appropriate for The Meeting Room because of a lack of real discussion and preserve the spam posting trend going on. Spam away!

Someone tell me where the hell Abbey Road is? I've gotten two: one in Liverpool, and one in London. Which one is the beatles one? :rage:

Also, 7 months away. can't wait! :x3:

You'll only get your wheels nicked off your bus/car/whatever you're travelling in anyway

The Abbey Road made famous by the Beatles is in London. Back then it was the centre of the world as far as music goes, so makes sense.

if you happen to accidnetally wander into Newcastle whilst on your visit to England, we will have to party it up Toon style. as the geordies know how to have a partyyyyy :wacky: the night life is epic not just in Newcastle but all over the UK so definately try to have a few nights out while your visiting.

emm i havent read all the posts in this thread so forgive me if this has already been mentioned but, go to a Football (soccer game). it is really one of the main things you must do when in England as it is our national sport. that or Rugby.
