go to a Football (soccer game). it is really one of the main things you must do when in England as it is our national sport. that or Rugby.

Unless you wanna be bored for 90 minutes i'd suggest against that unless you're willing to get completely shit faced before hand and that in itself just so happens to be a national past time.

I'm not sure about suggesting a tourist attend a sports event - I love football but I wouldn't go to a football match if I wasn't interested in it!

the night life is epic not just in Newcastle but all over the UK so definately try to have a few nights out while your visiting.

By this, he means that people in the UK get absolutely shitfaced, piss/vomit all over themselves, become rowdy as hell, get kicked out the pub, wander the streets aimlessly falling over themselves laughing at nothing in particular, lose their shoes, and/or engage in casual violence and vandalism.

Oh, and while football may be our most widely recognised national sport, it doesn't mean that English football teams are actually any good, so beware.
