Fusionist's Graphic Attempts

'Kay, I tried another sig attempt; I've decided to actually play through my XenoSagas games, so this sig came about as a result:

Admittedly, I didn't do much in terms of technique, although it took me a while to try to make the brush strokes mesh together nicely. And looking at the sig now, the text isn't really good =(

EDIT: I was just looking at Kei's tutorial on making the graphics with a pop out render, so I tried to give it a shot >_<

Ah, so yeah, definitely not a sig. I just spent a lot of time rendering this image and I thought I should use it right away since I love how sweet and beautiful the relationship is portrayed between the two is ^^

Definitely a render I'm gonna use again for something better in the future >_<

EDIT 2: 'Kay, I remade that pop-out sig again, and sized it more appropriately:

The tag in your first post is kinda dark :/
I think you overdid it with making it pop out but I also think that you wanted to look as if she grabbed her out of the tag, which I think is kinda cool :P
Persona tag is just like the previous one try smudging the gradient layer a little so the colors mix in a way better.
 
@Kei: When you say "tag", do you mean the whole sig or just a certain part of it :huh:

Ah, I had to go online to find out how to access the smudge tool (which I did ^^), but I'll keep it in mind for future sigs

Yes, it was originally bigger like how I like, but I resized it smaller just for you guys >__<

I'm happy with the way it is, but I wonder if there's more I could add to the sig without making it too cluttered...

It's not done, but I don't know what to put in it without mucking it up; also, I wanted to put his name, but I don't know where. I was thinking maybe on the background image's chest...

Okay, at another site I frequent there was a sig/avi set contest be held there by a person with the username "Demon"; make a sig/avi set with their name on it and win points (to use on that site).

Normally I wouldn't attempt that kind of thing since I'm still a newbie at making graphics and probably wouldn't win any spots, but points were also given for just participating, so I thought 'why not?'

So here's what I made...Oh, yeah, one thing...

One thing I gotta mention, the avatars I had to decrease layers and thus decrease over-all quality since that site doesn't really allow avatars that are bigger than 19.5 kb; any bigger, and avatar looks grainy on the site >_<

And yeah, on that site, people LUV big sigs, so there, ha!

Yeah, your KOS-MOS tag is definitely up there, although there's too much white color and she seems to stick out from the BG a little due to the outline of her overall image. It's very nice though - keep it up!
 
I spent a while on this sig; made like 7 different versions before I settled on this one:

I actually wanted to put some brush stroke or object instead of that heart and name thing I tend to do a lot of, but I couldn't think of anything *pouts*

The main trouble I keep having with these pop-out sigs is erasing the border to look more...pop-out-ish :P

EDIT: Why can I never sleep when I'm suppose to...

So, yeah, I just fooled around with this sig I made before; I lost the original PSD file so I just added a few more things to this sig and resized it basically *sighs* -_-

Not bad, not bad at all. I am quite impressed by the Cloud X Tifa siggy. It looks dramatic.

But the best is the second one. I really like how you used the same image as both stock and background. *thumbs up*
 
Although, if she was able to work C4Ds into her work, it could look even better than it does now ^^ Many signature benefit from just adding 1 C4D.
 
Well yes, while the usage of C4D is indeed beneficial for signatures, I have to admit that, based on my experience, the use of C4D tends to create dependency. I even found it hard to work without C4Ds after getting used to it, so my advice: practice as much as you can without them, and use them once you think you are ready.
 
Personally speaking I think it's easier for Fusion not to use C4Ds because most of her sigs are related to some sort of anime image and I find it A LOT harder to use C4D in anime sigs rather than normal everyday image sigs.

All being said, Fusion's work is unique in a nice way and I really like the one where Cloud's sword pops out of the sig, it looks great, keep up the good work. :)

On the subject of C4Ds, I just don't really know how to use them in sigs. The few times I've tried to use them they usually ended up covering the entire background rather than become a part of it to compliment the subject of the sig. But that's just me >_<

'Kay, here's one I made today; I actually had time after work today :gasp:

The characters are L and Raito(Light) from Death Note. I rendered the individual images from the cover of a doujinshi and then stuck them close together; I messed up L's hair SO badly >_<

I did the standard paint brushes and blending stuff, so not much difference from the stuff I've done before. Probably the main "new thing" I did was using the small text brushes for decoration. I can't very well put pretty flowers with these particular characters :P
 
I like it...it has a 'newspaper' like effect with the text brushes either side of L and Raito, I've always been a soft touch for effects like that xD
Anyway, keep it up, great work. :D

You're doing really good!

The strength one looks very different from the rest as there are more colors implemented in the tag and the stock is much different. I think it would have been better without the lines going across though - you would be able to see more of what's going on in the BG. The sparkles are a good addition since it really emphasize that "strength" value, but I think there is a tad bit too much sparkles. Other than that, I really like this tag! Keep it up. =]

Yeah, I didn't really do much; I just found the pic and thought it looked really great on it's own but I wanted to some how make it something my own so I did that icon thingy I'm fond of :P
