Alright, time to finally change the default folder icon and implement a Final Fantasy theme icon. We've done chocobos and moogles, so what's next? Cactuar? Tonberry? Any other ideas?


Once we decide on one, we will also update the site's FavIcon.
 
Might be a bit tedious to do. :hmmm: I think it's best if we stick to one general icon.
 
Tonberries - we've already had all the others done before, I believe, the majority at least. This little guy doesn't get as much love, and it'd be fun to be a FF forum where we are a little different rather than having something predictable set, like chocobos or moogles.

Tonberries, please! :D
 
So is this icon the icon that replaces the thread 'folder' icon(s)? The ones that are placed to the left of thread titles?

If so, are there to be slight differences when the thread is active / closed / you have posted in it, etc? And would this be reflected in the symbol itself, or would there be a symbol placed over whichever mascot symbol we choose?

Regardless, I'd agree with the above about having Tonberries.



EDIT - Ah, my bad. I realise it must be the icons that appear on the main page next to the boards themselves, and not within these boards and next to the threads.

It'll be both. :)

And yes, once we pick an image we'll figure out a way to have slight differences when the things are active, closed, etc.
 
... *Cough* So with the Tonberry light? Closed threads can have a red light, actives can have a green, and inactive can stay yellow/orange.

Tonberry for me too then! Turn the light out on his lamp when the thread has been read (or whatever) :gasp: . lol I have no idea how these things work :/

I don't really like tonberries. :C

I do, however, love Cactuar :ari: they are so adorable!

I adore moogles and chocobos but I said tonberry because Kira was right, they just don't get enough love. And I love the light idea!
 
Tough call. I was stuck between the Moogle and the Tonberry, but I guess Kira's point about the Tonberry light sold me. So Tonberry it is.

A Cactuar would be a horrible idea..just saying :monster:

Yeah, the Tonberry could have his knife raised / outstretched when a thread is closed. Staff could then be encouraged to say 'Doink!' every time they close a thread.

I'm really liking the ideas for the light on the Tonberry.

I'd be happy with any of those mascots listed, but the Tonberry, as stated, is little used.
 
I'm fine with anything, but if I have to choose, I would prefer the Moogle :griin:
 
tonberries please.... pretty please.... kira's light idea sold me.... if the little guy don't get it he will start looking for you :ahmed:
 
i voted cactuar, but im torn between that and the tonberry since reading the comments.... i do love cactuars though
