Crisis Core Flee or kill?

When charging the main gate on the Wutai mission do you attack the guards on the top of the gate or kill off the ground soldiers and watch them run?

I usually prefer to let them flee, unless I have attack magic materia equipped in which case I kill the lot of them =D
 
I kill them all, don't you get a better reward the more you kill....?

Een if you don't I'd still kill them all anyway...

Yeah, from what I remember, I killed them because I had enough MP left over when I killed the ground ones, so I thought, "Might as well end this ASAP."

Now in the topic:At the first time I played I killed them with Rush Assault but in the second they ran away before I kill them.I let 2 Wutais to survive:sad2:.I will never forgive myself.:sad2:
 
Yeah I always kill them, I htink you get a better reward if you do and so I always do.
I remember through one game play I didn't have ling range Materia so I HAD to lat them run v.v;

I killed them because I thought I had to kill them. Plus I thought I would get a good reward for doing it.
 
I killed them, I myself didn't even know they would flee, i actually found out before the final battles, That zack could flee from battle himself, i always wasted my time fighting monsters when i didn't really need to.
 
The first time I played, I was using the guide and it reminded me to equip a fire materia so I could take the guys on the gate out when I was through with the ones on the ground. Nobody ran away that time xD My second playthrough I was just going off of memory though, and I forgot to equip the materia. All I had I think was assault twister, so I had to watch them run away :/
 
I always killed them I didn't know they flee. -__- I always have a long ranged attack magic materia equipped for cases like that. :gasp:
 
Same, I always have a long range materia equipped.

Also, I had no idea, at all, that they'd flee if you left them... I destroyed the ground troops and then fire'd the archers xD Or whatever they were... Needless to say, I like to kill everything anyway. >.>
 
Whenever i have an option to kill or let flee, like near the start where the guards attack you and you have a choice to attack them or run away, i generally just kill them. The rewards might not be so worth it and it might be pointless but its good to kill them for the little extra experience you can get.

So yes, when i was at Wutai i did kill the guards.
