Final Fantasy Tattoo

I know a lot of people would never do it, but I did it. Beginning back with FF1, the series has been my "safe haven" from my crappy childhood. The screaming, hittings, etc, I always had my games. Well, I've started to get tattoos and I got a tattoo to symbolize my earliest memories, as well as the safe place.

Tattoo was done in 3 hours by Rooster at Prick Tattoos in San Antonio, TX.

These pictures were taken as soon as it was finished, hence the blood at the bottom of the white mage. I plan on taking some more pictures tomorrow because that will be Day 7.

(And no, it isn't done yet. I'm adding an elaborate background to it once it is all healed up.)

Looks nice, or at least as nice as a pixelated tatoo can I guess. I once thought about getting a moogle but decided against it.
 
hmm... i wouldn't mind a FF tattoo, but just not the ones you picked. id get a black silhouette of First Tsurugi on my arm (Cloud's Sword in AC if someone doesnt know it).
 
I like 'em. :) It's a far more obvious referrence for others than my single angel wing. :P And the colouring is done really well! :D

What sort of background are you gonna have?
 
I don't know how to say this, but your story really speaks. It's completely understandable that you'd take something that means a lot to you and "materialize" your affection for it. If this is what you want, power to you. I think it looks awesome.
 
I think it's rather neat looking :) I think that's awesome that you'd do that and i'm happy for you :D hehe. As far as me, idk if i'll get a tat over FF but maybe who knows i might change my mind :)
 
I think it looks really cool, and the tattoo has meaning for you which makes it even cooler
 
Those look awesome! Although rather painful...

I've thought a few times of getting an FF related tattoo - I wouldn't mind the design of Rinoa's wings on my back. Although ultimately its too expensive and too painful for me to go through with. Not to mention I'm not overkeen on needles. Still, good for you in getting them done. Are you going to get anything else done once you've got the background done?

i want the symbolly thing on the ffvii start up screen. i dont see why some peope are like funny overpeople having video game tattoos, i mean, people havecartoon characters so why not? cant wait to se the background as wel :monster:

They look pretty damn good. But it's too bad the guy hasn't logged in since August as I'm curious to see how the elaborate background turns out.
 
I never like to think about tattoos because all of them seem really painful.

But the FF pixel tattoos look really nice, as does the colouring. I would like to see the background, but sadly this looks like an old thread.
 
I love it. Its nice to see a tattoo with some true meaning behind it and I think its wonderful to be able to get the images perfect. They are stunning!
 
I think they're pretty damn awesome, it's nice how it has a meaning behind it, too. Plus, FF1 is one of my favorites.

What kind of background are you planning on getting done?
 
i wouldnt mind having my dolphin covered up with something FF related, the dolphin gets mocked #enough as it is, so may as well get summat else that can get an equal amount of ribbing, and at least there will be a reason behind it rather than 'id just turned 18, was bored and it seemed like a good idea at the time'
