Final Fantasy IX: The Fall of Mages RP

Letitia waited for night to fall over the courtyard of the Garnet til Alexandros before making her move, stepping silently out to the courtyard and waiting for a group of late-night worshippers to come.
When the group had passed, Letitia sensed a small life force coming by and saw a young man with a limp who had fallen behind. She bided her time in the shadows, then leaped out like a wild beast and grabbed him, hurling him into the shadows of the church's roof.
The man stood quickly and reached for his cane, but Letitia kicked it out of his hand, causing him to stumble and fall.
The man started to scramble away, but she grabbed him, dark magic wrapping around the man like some sort of weed and drawing his life energy out. He opened his mouth to scream, but a quick Silence spell stopped any sound from escaping his pale lips. He struggled and thrashed, but the woman's grip was too strong. Only when his desperate struggles stopped did Letitia drop his still body to the floor. Her body coursed with new energy, while the man on the ground, his mouth etched open in a scream of terror, was lifeless.
Letitia smiled, satisfied, and walked across town to an inn, which she checked into for the night, throwing a bag of gil at the innkeeper and ordering that she was not to be disturbed.

OOC: Yay, we got two psychos killing Alexandria citizens :)

Richard was quite happy that he had beaten the boy, he knew that he was able to beat the boy but the fact that he got Eohpelia to join him was fantastic. Once, long time ago, Eophelia promised that when she even once fights again, she will start working as a mernecary again.

'' Eophelia, you want to know the details?'' Richard asked quietly when they were sitting behind the bartender table. The woman gave him a warm smile.

'' No need to, Vivius already told me the facts. I will start moving to Daguerro tomorrow, I got some business there besides the war. '' Eophelia told and took a drink. Richard seemed a bit surprised but then continued.

'' You know, Markus and Bella are already there. They are in front, defending the villages that Oeilvert is destroying and raiding.'' Richard's voice was quite worried, but then he took another beer and walked next to Gabriel.

'' Mind if I sit down?'' He asked and sat next to Gabriel.

'' Exactly two weeks from now, an airship, called Black Crusaider, will take you and 20 other mercenaries on it and fly to Daguerro. You don't need to pay a single pen and I recommend you to talk with everone else as they will make up crew where you will be in. The leader will be Markus and you will be sent to front where Oeilvert is raiding now, but a week after that, you guys will be attacked first, probably. Oh, and about equipment, in Daguerro, find a old dragoon called Michel, tell him that Richard sent you for equipment and he will lead you to my personal armory. You can pick everything what you wish and need in battle, but only you, don't let anyone else come in. Got it? Now enjoy the drink. The 30 000 gold coins is in Ron's safe and you will get extra 20 000 if you survive the war. I got to go now!'' Richard said. His last sentence was extra loud and so everyone got that he is leaving. They cheered a bit and continued drinking. Richard left the bar together with Eophelia and started walking towards Market district.

Dawn began to break and Shera yawned and streched lazily waving the suns glare from her eyes, she stood up and stretched before regaining her composure and re-donning her mask...

"I've been asleep for quite a while, thankfully this wood is very quiet so I doubt anyone saw my face" she muttered to herself as she unpegged the tent and pushed it under a crack in a rock.

Shera set off on foot again and wandered for what felt like many more hours before reaching a clearing, she peered out and scanned the horizon...

"I'm almost there, just a little further" she exclaimed when suddenly she heard voices from behind her...

Rather than confront whoever it was she chose to conceal herself, she reached for her grappling hook and clung it onto a high branch of a tree and pulled herself up into the canopy, from here she had the height advantage as well as decent concealment from whomever it may be...

She quickly removed the grappling hook and hung it back on her belt as the voices came closer on the forest floor below her....

"Knights of Pluto" She quietly thought to herself as she saw several men all bearing the armor of the knights of pluto below her...

"Spread out and search the nearby villages, then head to Lindblum and spread the word....dont forget Vivus said she wants the Lotus dead or alive!" One of the soldiers barked...

Shera's eyes narrowed and she shook with rage upon hearing these knights were sent on a hit....more intensifying for her rage is that Vivus would send these....Amaeturs to do the job....

The Anger began to consume Shera's mind as her eyes began to glow yellow as she began to charge the mage energy within her....then something completely unexpected happened...

The energy began to take over her body, strengthen her in ways she had never imagined....her eyes changed from yellow to glowing brimstone as a black shadow covered her figure, shadowy wings took there form upon her back....at that moment she lost complete control....

"HYAYAYA Die Foolish Dogs of Pluto, you pale in comparison to my power!!!"

Shera belowed as she lept from her position in the tree within the blink of an eye and ran through the first knight with the black lotus katana...

The other knights attempted to retaliate to avenge there fallen comrades but it was impossible to land a single blow on her, she was surronded by a strange shield of energy the glowed when they attempted to strike...

"TELEPORT STRIKER!" Shera Teleported instantly behind a second knight swinging the black lotus katana at him knocking him off his feet and into the air...

"GRAVITY BOMB!" The katana glowed with energy as Shera swung the blade and let off a blade of gravitational energy that entrapped the guard in the air and pummeled him into the floor with such force it broke every bone in his body..

Shera sneered at the final two knights who were clearly panicing, as they moved away on the backfoot hastily....the brimstone glow of her eyes struck fear into there very hearts..

She held her katana to the side and began to chant, a glowing purple beam of energy began to surround the blade, pulsing as if it were alive...

"Well one of you will survive, and go back to Vivus and tell him what ive done here, and tell him that he is next for his betrayal, HOW DARE HE CALL ME A FILTHY HALF BREED, I WAS THAT FOOLS MOST LOYAL SERVANT!"...

As she finished her sentence she lept into the air the purple energy now surrounding her like a flaming shield, bringing the katana in front of her as she dove forward, concentrating the energy to the front forming a dangerous wall of magic and steel...

"GRAND VELOCITY!" She Screamed out as she crashed into the knight on the left, the combined force splitting him clean in half, knocking his torso high into the air in which she struck again with the remainder of the force disintigrating it into nothingness.

The last knight dropped his sword and shield and began to run, mocked by Sheras laughter at there pitiful attempt to carry out Vivus'es orders.

As Shera calmed down and regained her composure, the magical form began to fade, her eyes recessed back to there normal colour and the shadows disipated...Shera continued on her journey back to Lindblum....completely unaware of what she had done but a few minutes prior....

[ooc Shera's dark form revealed, this is what happens when she channels too much mage energy recklessly, most mages go into a trance state, but since she is of a half-magi race her trance state is much too powerful for her to control, hense the dark-form taking over ;) ]

Gabriel sighed quietly to himself as Richard left with the lady.

Passing Gabriel a sack of coins, Ron gave him another jug of beer. "Heres your money. 30,000 Gil in total. Not bad eh?" Ron said cheerfully.

Gabriel gave a light smile as he kept the money. He knew his skills right now needed serious brushing up. "There's still 2 more weeks right?" Gabriel suddenly asked, his eyes brightening up.

Ron nodded, curious at this sudden change. "Great. I'll take this time to practice!" Gabriel said to himself, grinning now. "Thanks again, Ron, see you again soon!"

Turning, Gabriel dashed out of the bar. He didn't stop running till he was out of Alexandria. "Alright. Grand Dragons. Beware, Gabriel is here!" He shouted as he walked towards the Grand Dragon Lair where he always trained secretly.

Letitia, before she left the inn., delved into her magic stores and pulled out a stream of dark purple magic, wrapping it around herself like a gown before activating the purpose, her body beginning to fade silently.

After a moment, she was totally invisible, and slipped out of her room, downstairs, and out of the door.

A few minutes went by before she saw the bar, and Richard in it, hearing him mention an airship leaving Alexandria. The woman smiled to herself, and followed Richard as he left the bar. But she wouldn't kill him.

Yet.

Ooc: Sorry for the huge delay in posting

Ic: After arriving in alexandria Jacel hid himself inside the airship. Considering his recent crimes he daren't make himself known in public, he instead headed inside his quarters. He then looked through the single glass window to observe the goings on outside. However, after almost 2 hours he felt strange, the same as he had in burmecia, perhaps a crystal was nearby? A merchant perhaps? With this knowledge he left the ship to follow the trail, hiding his face with a large cloth he shaped into a hood.

Gabriel arrived at the Grand Dragon's lair soon enough. Even though it was particularly dark since it was already night time, he didn't have much problem with it.

Enchanting his blade with a Firaga spell, he had a glowing blade so bright it basically lighted up the entire lair, revealing the sleeping forms of the dragons, the victims he was going to claim as prize.

Shouting senselessly, he tried to make a ruckus enough to wake the dragons up, which turned out successful, as the dragon immediately retaliated with Thundaga. Dodging the spell, he launched a Firaga Slash from his blade, which hit the dragon hard, but dealt little damage.

More dragons appeared at this time, mostly adult ones, probably to protect the family that lies deeper inside. "Looks like this one's going to be partly orphaned again." Gabriel muttered to himself.

Counting 4 dragons now, Gabriel let himself grin broadly as they casted a combined Thundaga spell at Gabriel, whose superior speed and observation allowed him enough time to dodge the moves.

"Time for the real thing." Gabriel said, his voice growing loudly due to the excitement of battling. "Ultima Blade!" Gabriel shouted as he enchated his blade with Ultima, his strongest Black Magic spell. The blade immediately glowed purple in colour lighting up the lair in an ominous manner.

The dragons didn't falter though, as one of them charged at Gabriel to bite at him. Gabriel smiled widely as he rushed up at the dragon confidently, cutting the blade into it, killing it in one blow.

One dragon down, now Gabriel had 3 more to go. The other dragons were startled at this one-hit kill, and hesitated, allowing Gabriel a chance to launch a beam of pure energy at one dragon, severely hurting it.

The dragon now panicked, running away, leaving the injured dragon lying there. Gabriel sighed," Poor thing. Well, its enough anyway, for me at least. You aren't much challenge, honestly."

Turning, he walked out of the lair, sighing loudly as he went.

OOC: No problem Klonoa, at least you posted ;) But try to be more active tho!

'' Master Vivius!'' A young man shouted while he was heading towards Vivius. They were on a lonely alley, walking together towards an inn called '' Beatrix Legacy ''.

'' Yes?'' Vivius told with his usual voice and turned his head towards the man running next to him. It was quite young one with long brown hair. His face was white and his eyes were blue.

'' Pluto Knights were defeated by Black Lotus. Black Lotus left only one alive to report.'' The man told eagerly while gasping loudly.

'' Fine, report the guards at western gate immediately. Go!'' Vivius told with more powerful voice now. Commanding it was without a doubt but it had a tone of anger in it.

'' Vivius, don't worry ... it seems that you don't care about catching the girl anyway?'' A short man walking behind Vivius told quietly. Vivius smiled and told.

'' Nah... but I want to make them feel like I need her ... I know that she will get trough the gate even if there are around 400 guards searching for her.'' Vivius continued walking towards the inn when he suddenly stopped.

'' You know... felt it?'' The man asked Vivius. Vivius smiled and nodded.

'' I think Delta will handle it ... Richard told him to watch the boy.'' Vivius told and walked inside the inn. It was a homely place, filled with different kind of decorations and people. The barkeeper smiled to Vivius and continued with his work.

'' Now we need to wait for Richard righ?'' The short man asked. Vivius nodded again and walked towards a corner and took a seat. Barkeeper run towards him and asked.

'' Anything special today Lord ?'' Somehow it seemed as he was trying to be polite against the short man more than against Vivius.

'' Yeah sure, a list of mercenaries. And not those who don't have jobs. The ones who are hired on best spots.'' Shor man told. His voice was gentle and noble and his eyes were brown, reflecting nobility. Bartender smiled back to him and run to the kitchen leaving the other barkeeper working alone.

-----------------------------

Richard was walking quietly on the street together with Eophelia when he suddenly stopped.

'' Eophelia, is something wrong?'' He asked. Eohpelia's face seemed somewhat worried. The woman nodded and raised her hands while pointing on a dark mass. Without a moment of thinking, Richard raised his huge sword.

'' Comeone young one... you don't wish to mess with me. Please leave us alone!'' Richard told with powerful voice what seemed to astonish the woman following them. It seemed as she didn't follow them any more after it.

'' I think I have seem her before ...'' Eohpelia told quietly. Richard nodded back to her.

'' I hope it wasn't Letitia... I hope it wasn't '' Eophelia mumbled quietly and Richard started laughing quite loudly.

'' I think we should have killed her before, when we had oppurtunity for it !'' Richard told. That made Eophelia laughing as well. It seemed as they knew Letitia from past.

Letitia sighed as she crossed her arms. So. Little Eophelia knew how to play, and more importantly, how to see her. She couldn't allow that.

She followed a safe distance behind, increasing her invisibility until she was almost undetectable. But she stayed a few metres away from them, and would only come close if they entered a building.

Hopefully they wouldn't interfere with her plan. Killing was such a messy affair sometimes, and she had a soft spot for Richard.

Shera finally arrived at Lindblum, she breathed a sigh of relief as the spiraling towers and wondering aricitechture of the city she had grown to call home came into view....

She walked to the main gate when she was approached by a messenger from the king who gave her a letter without a word and departed from her presence hastily...

With a look of suprise upon her face, she shrugged it off and open the envelope and read the letter.

"My dearest Shera your presence is required at the castle with utmost haste, a mission of extreme importance has come to light and we have urgent need of your abilties"

"He addressed me by my first name, this must be important" she muttered to herself as she pocketted the letter inside of her gi and quickly made her way to the castle...

Shera made her way to the throne room and was shown in by one of the guards, she knelt before the throne as the king stood and began to speak...

"Could you all leave the Lotus alone for a few moments please" the royal subjects and aides bowed and left the throne-room, Shera felt slightly nervous about what the king had to say, does he know about the attempt on her life?

"Shera, it has come to my attention that your services are required to assist in the oncoming battle against our enemies...therefore i wish for you to seek out Richard and Master Vivius and his band and offer your services to them in any way you can"

"B...but my lord! Vivius tried to have me killed!!" Shera interupted clearly outraged by what her king had just told her.

"This was part of an eleborate plan to mask your true mission Shera, we couldnt let our common enemies know that you are working with them, now that the attention has been drawn away from yourself and our enemies now believe you are a loose-cannon, this will make it all the easier for you to assist Richard and Vivus in there goal"

Shera stunned by this for a moment, back-peddled but remembered her oath...

"Yes my king, my life and my blade are only to serve you and the kingdom of Lindblum...what would you have me do?" Shera questioned, still uneasy about going into an alliance with the men that could have had her killed within a blink of an eye.

"Head to Alexandria and meet with Vivius, there will be no guards waiting for you this time, Ive been assured that this matter wont occur again, whatever Vivius requests of you, you are to do...I've forwarded a royal messenger to Richard and Vivius notifying them of your intentions and arrival...assist them in anyway you can....within reason" The king stated..

"Within reason my lord?" Shera questioned

"Remember you are a servant of Lindblum and not a warrior of Alexandria, make your judgement on there asking based on the principles of our kingdom, do not throw your life away needlessly because they demand it understood?"

"Yes my lord" Shera replied

"That is all, go now my child and return safely...I've always thought of you as the daughter I never had...so promise me your safe return"

"Y..yes my lord" Shera again replied before she turned to leave clearly astounded by the kings comments...

She made her way once more to the port and docked an airship for Alexandria, she chose not to take off her mask this time, or wear any kind of disguise...if people knew her presence she would be left alone....she confined herself to her quarters with her apprentices on guard as the ship took off towards Lindblum.

OOC: Changed accordingly.

Gabriel found his way back to the bar fairly quickly. However, it was more crowded than usual, and he decided he might as well rest while he could.

Though training wasn't as tiring as he hoped it was, it certainly did allow him a chance to use his most powerful spell, which was a waste to use on monsters that died in one single hit.

Sighing, he made his way back to the Beatrix Legacy Inn where he stayed. However, he thought he saw Richard, but he dismissed that thought anyway, and rushed to his room, falling into a deep sleep as soon as he went in.

OOC: 8th Horoscope, nice post but I have to ask you to change it. You just progressed too much time :( I have a lot of things I need to do before the 2 weeks pass so try to not pass time so fast okay ? =) If you wish to pass so much time you simply have to ask if everyone accept it and now I don't so you can't ... But just change the post and enjoy the RP ;) Oh, btw, you can save the post to word or something so when the time comes you can simply copy it to save time :)

Richard and Eophelia had made their ways to '' Beatrix Legacy'' inn when Richard stopped like he had done last time.

'' You think she is still there?'' Richard asked quietly. Eohpelia smiled, but didn't answer and walked inside the inn. Both barkeepers cheered when they saw Eophelia, after all she was popular everywhere, even if her legendary days had been in past.

'' Richard, glad to see you!'' The shorter man sitting in front of Vivius shouted quite loudlywhen he had noticed Richard entering the inn.

'' Same here ...'' Richard mumbled and walked next to the barkeeper.

'' List of mercenaries please.'' He told with his usual cold and calm voice, but nothing happened. It seemed as the barkeeper was quite astonished to see a man like Richard in front of him. Then the barkeeper pointed to Vivius and Richard walked next to them. Without a moment of thinking, he sat down. So did Eophelia.

'' Nice to see you Rugeos!'' Richard told. The short man, called Rugeos smiled back to him.

'' You know, they only had about 10 nice mercenaries ... And their prices are higher than you hoped. But I will hire them by myself as I am listening to you anyways.'' Rugeos told eagerly and then took a bottle of beer.

'' Fine, than I am heading to Madain Sari, day after tomorrow. Vivius, anything new about Black Lotus?'' Richard asked now, his voice was twice as quiet as before so that no-one else heard it.

'' Yes, king sent her out. She should be here in a day at least, at worst day and half.'' Vivius told and raised up.

'' You know ... someone is trying to enter this place. '' Vivius told and raised his hands to sent out a spell but some why he sat down again.

'' My mistake. Getting old after all. '' Vivius told and started listening to Rugeos chattering, while staring the door where Letitia seemed to hide.

The airship finally docked in the Alexandria port and Shera escorted by her two apprentices debarked, a few gasps of shock and awe were risen as they made there way to the "Beatrix Legacy" where they were going to meet with Richard and Vivus to discuss there upcoming mission...

On Sheras left was Shenju, a fine young man who came from a neighbouring village of Lindblum, his family were wealthy merchants but he wanted something more from life having heard about the exploits of the Black Lotus he had his father pay a substantial amount of gold to be enrolled in Shera's academy, he can be a bit of a hot-head at times and lets his status get in the way of what could be a flawless style of katana based martial arts, but Shera has always found him dependable.....he wears a black gi similar to Sheras but instead of the classic ninja mask, he prefers to wear an ornate tengu mask that fully covers his face, the mask of the tengu is said to strike fear into the hearts of all who look upon the guise of the tengu...

On Sheras right was Tahomi, a young woman approximatley the same age as Shenju, aside from her hair which she often wore tied up with clips and a bow, she bore a striking similarity to Shera. Tahomi comes from a farming family and followed the Black Lotus one night after spotting her on the roof-tops of Lindblum all the way to the secret hideout in the castle, Shera saw potential in Tahomi and accepted her as a student, She wears a black gi, similar to Sheras but prefers to wear a half-mask that covers her mouth and tip of her nose, Tahomi is highly skilled with butterfly knives and wields a pair that Shera had the Lindblum castle blacksmith forge for her, They are covered in Enchanted snake venom which quickly poisons any living thing they cut... Tahomi is an excellent student and is often calm in the face of adversity...but lets her feelings for Shenju get in the way and will often take needless risks if she thinks Shenju is in danger of getting hurt...

As the trio made there way to the inn, a pluto knight stopped them and asked them why they were here, Shenju without hesitation handed the knight a letter from the king of Lindblum and after a moment the knight allowed them to carry on, handing the letter back to Shenju...

The trio finally arrived at "The Beatrix legacy" and stepped in the door, there was an immediate quiet as the three heavily armed and black laden assassins of Lindblum stepped into the musky air filled bar of the inn.

Shera motioned to Shenju and Tahomi with a nod and they made there way into an upstairs in the inn, Shera approached the bar...

The barman stood quiet for a moment before he hesitantly spoke...
"business or pleasure?" he asked..

"A bit of both I believe, Im hear to meet with Master Vivus and The Honorable Richard on behalf of his majesty the King of Lindblum" Shera quickly stated with haste, not wishing to waste anymore time..

"Right away...and might I ask whom you are?" The question brought a gasp from the audience who were listening in on the conversation, clearly knowing that it was the Black Lotus of Lindblum.

"Prying eyes can often lead to dark consequences, lets just say a mutual friend, they know who I am and thats all that matters...now let them know Im here!" Shera snapped at the barman while showing him a concealed blade in order to keep him from asking any more stupid questions.

The barman stood stunned for a second before heading into the backroom, as he departed from view, Shera took a look around the bar at the gawking audience who quickly realised she was looking and went back to there usual business hastily....she reached over the bar and grabbed a bottle of saki and put a small bag of gold in its place and made her way upstairs to the inn room to rejoin her apprentices and wait for the meeting with Vivus and Richard...

[OOC: decided to introduce the apprentices, on big missions the lotus never travels alone and always takes her apprentices with her]

Vivius, Richard, Eophelia and Rugeus were enjoying their meals in their royal room were they were staying. Some unknown warriors were sitting behind a table in the corner of the room. Then someone knocked at the door. Richard quickly turned his head and said:

'' You may call Black Lotus here!'' Richard voice was loud and powerful so that the barkeeper didn't ask a single fact and run down to the bar. He told Black Lotus and her subordinates to follow him and showed them the door of the room where Richard and others were.

'' So, I think we should mute the bodyguards of you, Rugeos.'' Eophelia told. Richard nodded and Vivius smiled to them all.

'' Already done. They should be seeing dreams by now. NOW, YOU MAY ENTER SHERA!'' Vivius told. His last sentence was extra loud and was certainly aimed to the ears of Black Lotus staying behind the door.

Shera , Taohmi and Shenju entered the room quite tense at being in the presence of Richard and Vivus, Shera ordered Shenju to wait at the door and keep a look out to make sure there was no eavesdroppers and Taohmi to watch the windows.

Shera walked towards Richard and stood for a moment before bowing before both Vivus and Richard..

"Master Vivius, honorable Richard...I trust you recieved the letter from my king?" Shera questioned....

"I'm here at the behest of his majesty the king of Lindblum to offer my assistance in any way that I can, my sword and those of my apprentices are yours to command!" Shera continued clearly not waiting for any kind of reply to her previous question.

"However, I ask one thing....our identities must remain completely secret, as to reveal who we are would bring calamity to the kingdom of Lindblum making it an easy target, without our order, Lindblum would become plagued with spies and assassins of Oeilblum as it did before" As she finished her sentence, Shera as a sign of trust removed her mask and revealed her face, and flicked back her hair to reveal her elven ears.

"As Vivius already knows, I am a half human-half magi one of the few of this world, I show you my face and give you this knowledge as a sign of trust, do not betray it for there are many that would seek my death just from knowing what I am....My name Is Shera Seltar, orginally of Oeilblum, Im sure you know how the story goes" Shera continued and placed her mask back on awaiting for Richard and Vivius'es reaction, with one hand edging towards her blade in case the reaction was a bad one....

'' That's not a problem at all. I have seen many kinds of different beasts, ones that are far away from your freak level ...'' Rugeous sighed as he watched how Richard and Vivius will react. Vivius didn't have any emotions in his face but Richard got a huge smile on his face.

'' Nice to hear you offer us your powers. If you are able to start helping us at once, I know what you will need to do. If not, there is nothing for you until war from me. Vivius, any ideas?'' Richard told with bored voice. Somehow it seemed as he wasn't surprised a bit that Shera was a magical creature mixed with human body and blood. Eophelia had listened behind the table as well but she seemed as tired as always.

'' In case that you don't wish to go to Daguerro tomorrow, I got many things for you, but it seems as you are fine with moving out tomorrow.'' Vivius told quite eagerly and nodded to Richard so he could start telling the mission. Vivius raised his hand and pointed it on Rugeos. He waved it for a moment and Rugeous eyes were blinded, his mouth was taped in and his eyes were gone. Rugeos seemed to stay calm still as he was used to Vivius eavesdropping avoiding methods.

'' You can call your subordinates to here as I made sure that no-one can listen to us. This room is totally muted to the others.

'' Now, Shera ... You will leave towards Daguerro together with Eophelia tomorrow, with an airship called Red Rose II. Alexandrian old flagship used 40 years ago. You will recognize it without a doubt. It will board exactly at midday and leave after 1 hour of staying in docks. Then, it will move to Daguerro. There, you will have one free day to hang around, gather information about the situation or anything else you wish to do. Next day, you will need to meet Eophelia in Daguerro main square. She will command you from that point. Most-likely you will move out to the front line where Daguerro's colonies are.

OOC: I will describe Daguerro in first post as fast as possible ;)

Shera bows and prepares to take her leave....before turning back and mentioning to Richard..

"One more thing, my King has asked me to leave one of my apprentices in your care, Tahomi will accompany you directly to Daguerro and fight by your side, Shes one of my finest students and will make an excellent bodyguard, I will be heading out to Daguerro almost immediatley to gather counter-intelligence along with Shenju, Daguerro main square wont be the best of meeting places, I suggest a much quieter area for our meeting, dont you think?"

Without waiting for an answer Shera left the room and stood outside talking to both Shenju and Tahomi...

"Shenju, your with me, Tahomi....acompany Richard and make sure the knives of the Oeilblum assassins are kept from his back"

"Yes Mistress" They both replied...as Shenju made his way into the bar area and Tahomi was about to go back in the room, Shera stopped her and handed her a small trinket from her pouch....it was a ornatley carved locket that seemed slightly battered but still a beauty to behold...

"Take this with you...for good luck" Shera mentioned and made her way into the bar without another word...She nodded to Shenju and they both made there way out of the bar, leaving the roaring ambience and the rowdy-drunken crowd behind them...

They made there way to a quiet desolate house on the edge of the shantier parts of Alexandria, and Shera chanted a small spell, the door flung open and the pair walked in....a secret headquarters of there order right there in Alexandria!

knowing they were safe as only a select few mages knew about the secret headquarters and it would take a mage to bypass the door Shera ordered Shenju to take a rest....soon after Shera would fall asleep too...

Letitia, clearly visible, was sitting at a table, drinking a crystal glass of deep red wine that certainly hadn't been ordered at the inn's bar. Looking into Richard's eyes, she turned her rose lips up slightly in a smile, and raised her glass in an invisible toast, before sipping the liquid inside.

Richard walked down to bar and sat down to a table. Tahomi sat next to him.

'' So, you are following and guarding me right ?'' Richard asked Tahomi, who nodded to him. Richard got a huge smile on his face and told.

'' You see that woman sitting there, aiming my eyes with her's. Noticed her?'' Richard told quietly. Tahomi looked back and saw the woman. It seems as she hadn't noticed her before.

'' I am sorry, I didn't notice her before. Is she dangerous?'' Tahomi asked eagerly. She seemed to be a bit afraid of Richard.

'' Yeah, she could be but that is your decision. I won't raise my sword tonight, so you have to watch after me. I hope you do the right decisions.'' Richard told and gave a toast to Letitia as well, who seemed to be quite happy because of Richards answer.

It was still dark but early morning in the moon basked city of Alexandria, as Shera stirred from her slumber suddenly in a cold sweat.....She had the same dream again, but this time rather than it being the general it was a blackened figure whom she couldnt see the face of....

Disturbed by this revelation for a moment, she shrugged it off and made her way to awaken Shenju from his peaceful sleep.

"Shenju, its time!" Shera mentioned as she shook Shenju to awaken him.

"Urm..ughh...Ye..Yes Mistress....but why so early" Shenju muttered, clearly cranky from being woken up so abruptly...

"We have little time for words my apprentice, the shadows and cover of darkness are our best time to make our way and discuss our options for when we arrive" She replied clearly annoyed at Shenju's outburst and sudden uneagerness to confirm to her orders.

Shenju, now fully awake realised what he had said and quickly rose to his feet and bowed

"Sorry Mistress, it wont happen again" He replied appologetically.

"Enough, come with me" Shera said with a Strict tone, and made her way to the window, removed her grapling hook from her belt and swung it only a nearby rooftop where it snagged on a statue and she tied the other end to the windowcil

With a nod, and no further words, Shenju mounted the rope and gingerly climbed into onto the roof, Shera detached the rope from the windowcil and accended to the rooftop shortly after..

She wound the grapling hook back up and re-attached it to her belt and they both began to swiftly, but quietly move across the rooftops towards the docks...

"Now, Shenju...although we are supposed to be following orders from this person...who clearly has no experience with the underworld of Oeilblum does not mean we are not to make decisions based on our discretion"..She continued as they lept from rooftop to rooftop, pausing only momentarly to hoist herself up over obstacles such as chimneys that blocked there path..

"If she blows her cover, makes sure it remains that way, dont blow our own...even if shes in danger, she will be a liability to us and would risk sell-swords and assassins blades appearing in a much more frequent number, if our presence is known there...do you understand?" Shera knew full well her words seemed cold, heartless and selfish but this was for the good of the mission, there were but only 3 Lindblum assassins despatched to try remove any potential threat within Dageurro, and to do that ment to remain undiscovered....at any cost.

"Yes mistress I understand" Shenju replied as they made there way to the docks spotting the Red Rose II stood silently without signs of life in the bay...They swiftly boarded the ship and silently searched for threats on board...

Shera Spotted within one of the cabins, a masked figure, well built probably male, middle aged...on his left shoulder was an emblem bearing a crest....

"As I though, Shenju, deal with this Oeilblum spy, make sure his deathcries are silenced by the drowning sensation of his own blood" Shera whispered...

Shenju drew his katana and pulled his mask from the side over his face and tapped on the door, crouched to conceal himself from the glass viewing piece...

"Whos there? Daro...you werent supposed to here until midday!" The door swung open and the assassin let out a short gasp as he spotted the tengu masked warrior in front of him that swiftly slashed his throat before he could let out a scream, and watched the assassin fall in a pool of his own blood.

"There are more on the way it seems, get rid of the body...and take this message to Richard post haste, Ill wait here in case anyone else shows up" Shera quickly mentioned as she quickly scrawled writing on a parchment and handed it over to Shenju, who pocketted it, disposed of the body by dumping it overboard into the sea and made his way back to the "Beatrix Legacy as quickly as he could"..
