Final Fantasy IX: The Fall of Mages RP

Richard stood up and started leaving the bar, Tahomi straightly following him. The moment he made his way to the door, he spotted Shenju. He turned away and flash-stepped to the stairway. Flash-step was another Richard's abilities, tho he didn't use it much. Only when it was necessary. Probably, he wanted to show his powers to the woman from before as well, as she was still staring him. Tahomi run quickly to his back and wanted to say something but Richard was fast to interrupt. Richard smiled and whispered to Tahomi:

'' Tell her to come up, to the roof. You stay down and watch the woman'' Richard's voice was so quiet, that even Tahomi had trouble with hearing it. Richard then walked up while Tahomi headed towards Shenju and gave the order.

A smile curled Letitia's rose lips and her violet eyes glimmered as she flitted, lighter than air, to Tahomi's side.

"You seem very loyal to your master," she murmured, her mouth barely moving as the words wisped out, dripping poisoned honey. "So, why? Good person, family or friend? Did he save your life or did you simply long for adventure?"

Tahomi looked with surprised face. She was a bit shocked by the fact that the woman Richard told too look after, was talking with her.

'' Eh, I am together with him for a job, or an adventure, like you mention mrs.'' Tahomi told with frightened voice. Something in the woman made her afraid. Was it the dark aura around her or something else, she wasn't sure.

'' May I offer you a drink?'' She then told, as she had been teached to deal with those persons by communicating with them.

"I'll be fine," dismissed Letitia, smiling at Tahoni in a passable imitation of warmth. "I'd much rather you had a little drink. You can tell me about the fascinating life of an adventurer, and all the places you've gone, the people and animals you've met. I do love hearing life stories."

Tahomi knew that she is in danger, but she didn't have any better chance. She was in public place after all. She smiled to Letitia and took a seat.

'' If you want to hear something, then I will go ahead. But first I have to ask you something, mrs. What do you have to do with Richard? It seemed as he knew you?'' Tahomi asked and took a glass of water what she had ordered.

------------------------------

Richard had made his way to a rooftop and sat down. He took out a notebook and pencil and started writing something, it seemed that it was something unimportant.

'' Now, Shenju should be here any second...'' Richard thought.

"We have a little bit of a past. I showed him hospitality, offered him a little in the way of indulgences, but he refused. In fact, our littledebate got rather heated, and became violent and physical. A pity. Such a powerful, potential man, yet he can't embrace power. Sad."

'' If that is the case. But it seemed as he wasn't angry or mad at you, more like he seemed to be pretty warm.'' Tahomi told carefully. It seemed as she finally managed to win the trust of the woman. Tho, she had to avoid telling anything to make the woman angry, mad or sad. Then she took another glass of water and told:

'' I find him quite attractive as well. Are you going to join any side in the upcoming war? Just asking, as I find it important to take part of, as it will show what our future will be like.'' Tahomi told. As she was quite unexperienced yet, she seemed to get too comfortable.

"Warm. I believe he has a dark side, and what is more, it won't take all that much to bring it out.," she said cryptically. "I... will be taking part in the upcoming war, if you wish to call it that, but regardless, I intend to appease both sides, and make sure they both see me as an ally. A much better way to live."

Tahomi looked at the face of Letitia and every moment she looked it, something made him feel homely and relaxed. Tho, he wasn't that inexperienced, she knew that she can't feel safe, never. But even if she knew it, she wanted to talk.

'' That is an opportunity, but I thought you have something in here, Alexandria to defend. That way you should choose Daguerro to fight against Oeilbum, as they seem to wage war against everyone soon enough. But there is nothing I can do right...'' She mumbled and drunk again. Something had already poisoned her mind and that way she could have told valuable information to everyone, especially to Letitia, whose words had magical effect.

"What do you mean you can't do anything right?" asked Letitia. "I'm sure Sir Richard is very encouraging of your abilities." She swiftly ordered another drink and slided it to Tahomi before her drink was finished.

Tahomi looked at Bellatrix. She smiled softly and stood up.

'' Excuse me, but I have to go to the toilet!'' She told quietly and started heading towards toilet. After a moment or two, she was in toilet. Gently she unseated her dagger and headed in to the cabin. Just in case.

Despite having decided to retire for the night, Gabriel couldn't get into dreamland. Getting up, he looked out at the night view of Alexandria, marvelling at it.

Then, thoughts of his old hometown returned to his mind.

Gabriel was originally from the mystic village. When the genomes went into the Black Mage's village by introduction of Zidane after saving the genomes in Terra from a raging Kuja, they lived in relative harmony.

This harmony led to coexistence, soon, at some point, love actually developed. However, procreation was not possible. Not until some humans decided to stay there, after Zidane's coronation.

By then, the Genomes and Black Mages have already formulated the basis for Mystic Arts. They immediately passed this down to the humans, who in turn, improved on it and led it to become the Mystic Arts that Gabriel use today.

However, this village has apparently been destroyed somehow, leaving Gabriel homeless now. Sighing, Gabriel walked out to the balcony, enjoying the night breeze..

OOC: Sorry for the late post. I thoguht i should wait for everyone to end the day first.

Shenju had noted that Richard had a "guest" and decided to keep his presence and intentions masked and decided to head to the rooftop, without hesitancy slinging his grappling hook around the chimney pipe of the inn's roof and gingerly accending onto the roof..

There he waited with the letter from Shera in hand for Richard..

Richard was sitting still and staring Shenju who didn't seem to notice him. He sighed for a moment and saw that Shenju heard it, but still nothing. Then, Richard started laughing quite loudly:

'' Oh sorry ... I forgot that I was invisible ..'' Richard told while his body appeared from nowhere.

'' So, what did Shera want? '' Richard asked and gave a glance to Shenju's mask.

Shenju muttered under his breath for a second as if to be cursing himself for not noticing, on any normal night due to his training Shenju would have been able to spot the outline of a person in an invisible spell without even much effort, but Richard seemed to be using quite an advanced spell that is usually only exclusive to black mages like Vivius, he shrugged it off with the thought that he must have been taught it from Vivius and re-called why he had been sent here...

"Sir Richard...my lady bid me to return to you with utmost haste, to deliver you this message" Shenju handed over the letter and turned to leave, not waiting for a reply...

"My lady and I are currently sweeping the vessel for any more how do you say...unexpected guests, it would be wise to keep Tahomi close by tonight as no doubt they will figure out that the vessel is currently being watched and come after you here..." He said with a glance over his shoulder as he threw a smoke bomb on the ground, as the cloud dissipated...he had vanished from Richards sight as he made his way swiftly back to Shera upon the ship....

Richard smiled to himself and then turned around, opening the letter. He gave quick glance on it and then burned it.

'' If so ...'' He muttered and re-casted the invisibility spell. He then quickly walked down to the hotel. He moved to his room and whispered something to Eophelia and then turned away, heading towards downstairs. When he stepped on the stairs, he appeared again.

'' Eh....'' He told to himself, when he managed to understand that someone had dismissed his magic.

'' Richard ... the ship will leave earlier.'' It was Vivius, who had appeared in front of him. Richard nodded and walked to the bar-room. He noticed Letitia there and Tahomi heading towards toilet.

'' Hello miss. So, how did my friend entertain you?'' Richard asked from Letitia and sit down.

'' A whisky!'' He shouted quite loudly, so the barman run next to him and gave a bottle of whisky. Richard tasted it and then smiled to Letitia to hear the answer.

Letitia allowed a smile to come onto her face as Tahomi left. With little hesitation, she downed the entire contentsof her drink of one swig and looked clearly at Richard as he approached, the smile not quite reaching her eyes.
"Oh yes, she told me some interesting things about your life, dear Richard. Not only that, but she told me she herself feels... rather worthless. Nothing I didn't suspect, but still, interesting to know."

'' If so ... But I wanted to ask, how are you doing dear lady?'' Richard told with warm and gentle tone, with tone that he only rarely used. He managed to summon a warm smile on his face and then took a glass of whisky. After a moment he refilled it.

'' Actually, I am sorry to disappoint you, but Tahomi doesn't know a single detail about me. No-one knows.'' Richard muttered again and stood up.

'' Enjoy your stay. Oh and next time we meet, I may not be so tolerate as I was now.'' Richard's voice was so calm and cold, that it could be taken as a threatening, but Letitia probably knew Richard and knew that it was usual for him. Then, Richard walked towards the exit and left the bar. Vivius accompanied him the moment he stepped over the doorway and that's why Richard felt so safe. After all, Vivius was a mage from another class, even when compared with Letitia, who probably was able to take out most of the black and white mages. When Vivius was five, he was trained by his grand- grandfather Vivi, who managed to live extremely long it terms of Black Mages. Tho, Vivi died when he was ten, but being trained for five years by worlds most famous black mage isn't something little. After that, Vivius was trained by dozens of different masters, counting in even master Quina. That why he is also capable to use magic unfamiliar to everyone besides Qu tribe.

Tahomi was just going to leave the toilet, when hes picture got blurry. She was dragged to somewhere else. When she opened her eyes, she spotted Richard. Now it was sure, they were in some kind of port. Vivius was also there.

'' Don't worry . You didn't tell anything that could harm me or someone else. After all, you don't know a single thing.'' Richard told. It was true as well, as Tahomi didn't know a single thing about Richard nor Vivius. Vivius then smiled to her and walked towards a huge airship.

'' Let's get moving.'' He told with his old and raughty voice.

Letitia smiled. "No one knows anything about you. Except me."
She stood, swept her cloak around herself, and left the bar, walking back to the inn with a lot on her mind.
She would follow the little mage and Richard... and his lackey, Tahomi, for another while. Time would unravel his mind.
