Evanescent Fairytale {RP}

"Two things wolfy, what is it to you and who are you? It's only manners to introduce yourself first."

He appeared to look more than a little suspicious of Crimson Wolf, even being prepared to attack if he didn't state his name, and what business he has there.

"At ease, I am not your enemy, my name is Crimson Wolf." he answered calmly after he had taken a deep breath, "As for my species, I am certainly not demonic, though perhaps my dark appearance is unpleasant to you...

Namely, my race is Ferfnir, a species of humanoid Wolves that can freely change from this shape, which is human shape, and Wolf shape, capable of human speech in either one." he said, hoping that explaining himself would assure the suspicious person that stands before him.

"As for my initial approach, if I seemed at all hostile, I was merely hurrying, as I sense something, somewhere must have gone terribly wrong, so when I got this airship as a result of the earthquake and a pack of three demons appearing, I decided I would seek out some people that may know something of what has happened, and are trying to do something about it to make things right, then help them out by providing this form of transportation to get to destinations quickly and easily.

I just decided to fly by these mountains to meet with who was here, after I heard something was going on here, thinking it may be connected to the events that have been happening, possibly something to get closer to taking care of the source of the problem that caused them?"

He tried to talk as knowledgeably as he could, though there was much he didn't have the answers to for certain, like just what exactly is the source of these problems.

(OOC: Wow...kinda just quickly flew him there Cerberus.... To everyone else, most of you have had enough time for an imagination refueling. get to it or die!)

Orin had run through the mountains far enough. He was almost on the other side. He spotted an air ship flying high nearby and began to approach it. "Oh what is this I see? Free transportation for me!" he chimed as he jumped towards it. He had decided to stow away on the ship and wait silently for it to carry him to a temple of spears...

Shia the high priestess pounded her staff against the ground. "They arent moving anywhere!" she gasped. "At this rate we're all gonna die!"

She then began to conjur up a plan. "If these heroes can't do it then I'll just have to erase them... Transfering their powers should be easy..."

((MOD EDIT: Don't Pseudo-Mod, please. I'm perfectly capable of doing my job.))

IC: Rick stepped out of the airship, bowing his head to get through the door. It was a tight fit for his massive frame: from now on, he was jumping off the side. He noticed someone harrassing his employer. Rick kinda felt sorry for the little man as he went to the duo. It was in his job description to protect his employer.

Rick stood behind Crimson and grinned down evilly at the other. For a man like Rick, him grinning evilly is a sign of you wanting to write your will within the next ten seconds. "Ello dere. Mind not harrassing the person paying me money to keep him safe?" Rick asked, cracking his neck as he cracked his knuckles right after that. The series of cracks sounded through the air like gunshots.

Fear the big man that could send you 5 feet into the ground. Fear him well.

(OOC: Yeah, sorry about that, but he agreed to my offer, and I answered his questions, I don't think I've forced anything on him, so it should be okay, not powerplaying)

Crimson Wolf had nearly cringed after Rick came and acted menacing when he had been explaining the situation, saying he was not the enemy.

"Rick, I appreciate that you are taking your job seriously, but this really isn't the time to be intimidating, I didn't come here to pick a fight with anyone." he exclaimed.

He turned back to the direction of the person who had questioned him, and after a short sigh proceeded to say "Don't mind him, he is just some muscle I hired to be on guard aboard the airship to protect it from any invaders.

On that note," he said, looking in Rick's direction once again, "perhaps you should check back on it and make sure no one or thing has breached it, I have a bad feeling...

If anybody gets in there and kills the pilot, there will be no one to fly the airship until another willing person that is able to is found. And he is the one handling the funds, I can fend for myself, he on the other hand...he's more of a priority, he is not expendable."

Now facing the other yet again, said "If you can trust me, would you tell me your name? Well, regardless I would like to offer to help you out, if you'll have me. I can bring you on board the airship and fly you to wherever you need to go, and once destination is reached I am quite effective in a fight, even if I can't wield a weapon, I would be able to make your journey a lot easier."

Crimson Wolf was none too sure if this person would accept this, but he still offered his services, also it may at least suggest he certainly means no harm.

“Hello, My name’s Unity. I’m not sure about this, but where are you heading towards, and can we follow you?”

Kyrie was deep in thought and only half heard Unity speak to her. Once the words registered, Kyrie turned and responded. "Hm? Yeah, that's fine. Though I'm not entirely sure where I'm heading." She took a deep breath, exhaled, and spoke her thoughts. "My people tell a story of a group of floating islands far to the East. A powerful force, imbued with the essence of Air supposedly kept it safe from invasion for hundreds of years. Now I'm wondering if that essence isn't one of these guardians. And if that guardian carries or houses a spear. It's a longshot, but I think it's worth a try."

Putting her hands on her hips, Kyrie cocked her head slightly to one side, and gazed off into the distant, as if she were searching for an answer in the horizon. "The problem, though, is how to get there."

It resulted to Phallia using her guns. They were rather far and had too many for her to use Featherstrike. With a grunt of irritation, Phallia drew one of the Vigoorian Sanctifier from their holster and began blasting the demons as if on a shooting range. Three were taken down before the gun was empty. Figuring that they had no way of staying alive by holding back, all six dived down.

Slowly, Phallia slotted in the bullets, flicked the chamber close and laid all six bullets into the closest two before holstering the gun and drawing A.J. Flexing her wings, the warrior shot into the air, surprised the closest demon by slicing off its wings and gutted the second one that was above. As both corpses tumbled, a clawed hand swung in an overarching motion for Phallia, only to be parried and sliced off. Swiftly, her metal heel smashed the demon squarely on the chin,s tunning the poor beast before having hnis skull split open. The final stared down at Phallia, bared its fangs and shot forward, planning to impale her through the chest. In the last instant, Phallia grapped the outstretched hand and landed a solid knee into its chest, before beginning to freeze the demon. Crystaline ice began to crawl up its arm before going down its chest, leg, wings and head. Soon it was just a popsicle. Satisifed that it was unable to move, Phallia let go and watched it tumble groundwards and shatter into a million pieces below.

There. They are done. Lady Virginia. Are you finished with the demons? We should begin travelling.

OOC: Apologies for the late reply D:

IC: Seeing his opponent charging him, Vargan held his Claymore backwards. For the time being he wouldn't bother with his sword and instead fight it out in hand to hand. As his foe filled the gap between them Vargan performed a powerful right hook into the man's, for lack of a better word, skull. This blow, if it hits would be far stronger than that of any ordinary man's punch, under normal circumstances it could easily shatter bone.

With Vargan's other hand he gripped onto his foe's right shoulder, grappling him into place as he dealt a rough kick into his stomach.

Seridaxon ran forward he took the punch to the face and growled angrily.

"Try harder" He screamed unfazed by the punch, Seridaxon saw the mans foot coming forward toward his stomach Seridaxon didn't even bother moving, if the man was going to kick him in the stomach the gears would instantly chew up his leg and cripple him, Seridaxon surged forward pushing his stomach out to close the gap between the whirring gears and the mans foot.

Virginia nodded after the last minion was killed off and her blades were sheathed. "Bene, (Good), I was beginning to think that this would go on a while. According to what the priestess said, the next temple is in the desert, I think we should start there. But first, let's get off this mountain, it's giving me a cold." With that, Virginia looked around to see if they could find a way off the mountain top.

OOC: Sorry for short post.

OOC: Take us down Leader.

Very well. i believe if we head down eastward, we should track back onto a path of some sort, judging from the weathered dirt. This could be a small track for those travelling to the cave.

Shaking and stretching down her wings from the recent exertion, Phallia scanned down the mountainside as the duo began their trek towards its base. Truely, it was an inhospitible place, placing any that approached this location at rather severe danger and risk. However, they were far above ordinary travellers.

"Bene, (Good), I was beginning to think that this would go on a while. According to what the priestess said, the next temple is in the desert, I think we should start there. But first, let's get off this mountain, it's giving me a cold."

Unfortunately, i rather like the cold. It comes with my magic. In fact, it is the desert which i cannot stand, but it is our next destination, so onwards we go. Should we continue down this path for perhaps a few hours, we shall reach the base by nightfall, hopefully.

OOC: Very well...cause I'm sick of seeing mountains now. :brooding:

IC:

Virginia wasn't surprised by Phallia's words, considering she is an angel who usually lives in Heaven and the like, and she did imagine it to be a cold place. Continuing the down the mountain path, Virginia responded,

"To be fair, I don't like il deserto (the desert) either, but I guess we have to do as we must to get the next spear."

The Mountain path was winding, with several twists and turns that make it hard to traverse. But Virginia was able to maintain steady footing and a steady pace, and just as Phallia said, Virginia made it to the base of the mountains as soon as the sun had set.

"So, do you plan to rest here or should we head to the next city before the sun goes up again?"

While The wolf was explaining that he was not hostile at all, Mystro began to doze off. His arm was bleeding badly. The large bodyguard then came out and threatened him, but Mystro was far too out of it. Then, two of the heroes began fighting. Mystro was unaffected by everything around him. His loss of blood was getting to him. "Ungh...I need medical...uh...what's the word..." Mystro's eyes were not properly dilating or anything. He couldnt even think of words.

Mystro grew so week he ended up saying, "take me...to ... that thing over there" as he was trying to look at the airship. He fell on his knees, the gash on his arm was still bleeding and he was obviously in bad condition. He needed the wound treated and covered. He shortly fell on his stomach with a thud, and a painful grunt. The dragoon had passed out.

Ahrexian had been daydreaming throughout the daemon attack and was apparently lucky to have survived the preceeding events.

He stepped out of the cave to catch the end of what the strange woman, who mentioned the mana was saying, the locations of the remaining spears. Then a thought entered his mind, completely unbidden by him, yet there it was...

The location of the spear of the lightning god.

"Well, after that, and seeing as we know where the spears are now, I'm going to head for the temple with the lightning god in it, it is after all," he flickered lightning across his balde and out into the ground, melting the snow at his feet, "my speciality."

"Who's with me?"

(OOC: Sorry for the late reply, I made him seem erm, useless in RP terms to make up for it, up to you guys to decide what you think of him now)

While Crimson Wolf was speaking, stating that he was not hostile, then having a word with Rick, the man had begun to grow very weak, he had been losing blood, a fair bit by the time he started to speak to them again, saying "Ungh...I need medical...uh...what's the word..."

He had lost a lot of his strength by this time, he finished with by saying "take me...to ... that thing over there" then falling down, letting out a grunt as he hit the ground, then passed out.

"Damn, he's fallen unconscious... We've got to get him back to the airship, I'm sure that was the 'thing' he was referring to, and what he needs is medical attention, immediately. This will go a lot quicker if you carry him back Rick, it shouldn't even slow you up, and I can run fast anyways, let's hope the pilot knows first aid..."

They, along with the unconscious man, headed back for the airship, but as they got the the airship's entrance, noticed a strange Elf fast on his way towards the airship, not far off, and he didn't look like he was going to be the type to kindly ask to be given a ride on it, as he seemed readied to take it by force.

"Ugh, the elf man has very bad timing..." he exclaimed, then turned to Rick and asked him to hand the person over to him, as he reached his arms out. "Place the man on my arms. I may not be able to get a hold of things with my paws, but if set on my arms I should be able to carry him into the airship and get him looked after, and it will free up your arms so you can see to it that the charging Elf doesn't set so much as one foot aboard the airship."

After the man was set on Crimson Wolf's arms he rushed him into the airship, leaving Rick to do his job, while he headed to the pilot Jack, and asked him if he could do anything for the person he had brought in, hoping he could treat him, and stop the bleeding.

"Jack, got someone here that has fallen unconscious, and has lost a significant amount of blood, I am hoping you know first aid or something so you could treat him and stop the bleeding."

Jack nodded his head, and without even speaking a word, he headed for the storage area of the airship, found something to wrap around to bandage him up and stop the bleeding, Crimson Wolf followed along.

"So should he be alright now, then? Or do you need something else to help improve his condition?" he asked, and awaited a response from him. "No, he should be fine, he should come to before long, after enough time of the bleeding being stopped, the flow of blood through his body should regulate, then he should regain his strength and regain consciousness."

(OOC Edit: Sorry for sort of rushing things along again, but this is really a bit of an emergency situation for the Mystro character, he was losing blood each passing moment, it wouldn't work to have this unfold throughout 3 or 5 posts between me and Shadow)

Rick was about to turn and leave when the man fell down, stating that he needed medical attention. Crimson had him pick up the person, which he did immediately, and then began to hurry towards the airship, Crimson alongside. Then an elf popped up, heading for the ship. Crimson turned and asked Rick to hand him the unconscious and probably fatally wounded person, which Rick did, setting him dwon carefully in Crimson's arms.

Then Crimson told him to go stop the elf, which Rick grinned at. "Alright, not my job comes into play!" Rick judged the distance and decided he wouldn't catch the elf in time if he ran. So, he went with plan B: use his massive strength to propel him forward. In other words? LONG JUMP!

Rick took a few steps back, before rushing forward with gigantic steps suiting him to lunge forward in a massive full-body tackle at the elf who had convenietly jumped right into his path. Rick would hit the elf and knock him straight into the ground; in other words, there would be a massive crater. If the elf was still conscious, he wouldn't be as Rick would start pummeling his massive fists into his face.

OOC: hope that isn't god-modding, but since you said he jumped...

(OOC: I dunno if that's godmodding either...)

Orin blocked Rick's punches with the sword he had created with the Mana Tree. It seemed to repel the gian'ts fists with each blow and finally after the Giant raised it's fist again, Orin jumped out of the small crater. Using his agility he quickly climbed a tree. "Hehe! What's this? Fatty wants to play? Well you'd best make it quick..." said Orin as he readied himself in a fighting stance. "Cause I don't have all day!"

Orin could feel the powers of the sword durrounding the blade. He tried to channel it into himself, but alas, the techinqes of Mana had never worked for him. He spotted a giant fellow in the distance. This was surlley a hero and he looked strong. Gazing past the giant and the airship, Orin spotted an oppurtunity..."Hey you! Come with me! And I'll grant you power than you could ever dream." Orin shouted. "But we must escape this oaf it seems."

Shia appeared before the girl Unity. With a quick swift swish of her cain She and the girl had vanished into a white space. "I have taken you here to become a part of the mana tree... Apparently you are not a hero. Don't be frightened your only purpose was to lead the real heroes to the first temple. Now that they know their task you can rest here until you awaken once again."

With that Unity began to enter a deep sleep. Shia had then teleported out of there and into the Thelmacain church in the skies of Levert to do more business...

Save Mystro-optional-Rick, Crimson Wolf
-Mystro is seriously injured. Maybe the Dragoons at Dragona city can help...

Spears-mandatory-all
-travel to the temples with spears...

"No, he should be fine, he should come to before long, after enough time of the bleeding being stopped, the flow of blood through his body should regulate, then he should regain his strength and regain consciousness."

"I still don't know...this just doesn't seem like it should be nearly enough, this is a serious injury, not to disregard what you just said, Jack, but unless it comes from a well educated doctor, medic or the like, I can't help but thing there's more that needs to be done...

I think he may be a Dragoon...perhaps the Dragoons at Dragona City can help him? We have to try it, while this may keep things from getting much worse, I have to say I don't think it's enough to make him really get feeling stronger, we should go to Dragona City right away, I'll go see if Rick has finished dealing with our...uninvited guest of dishonor."

After he finished this conversation he made his way off of the airship and approached Rick. "It looks like that Elf isn't in the immediate area of the airship, so you've taken care of everything it seems. I think our injured guest may be a Dragoon, perhaps the Dragoons at Dragona City could help him, we should get going if you're ready, I'll be in the airship, if you're all done here you should come aboard it now too so we can head off before the man's condition gets worse."

Crimson Wolf got back onto the airship, and Rick followed. Crimson headed straight to the pilot and gave him the okay to depart now and head for Dragona City.

Rynn Marr had been following this group of random people for a while. He was not sure if they knew of him, but he kept hiding anyways. This was not how he normally did things, but with this many people, he didn't want to get ganged up on. He was kinda surprised about how long he has remained hidden, since sneaking around was clearly not his specialty.

While following the group, he accidentally knocked a rock down and almost fell. He regained his footing and helped himself up, but was now wondering if the group ahead had heard him. To prepare for the encounter, he put his hand by his sword, just in case they wanted to start a fight.

Putting her hands on her hips, Kyrie cocked her head slightly to one side, and gazed off into the distant, as if she were searching for an answer in the horizon. "The problem, though, is how to get there."

It was a problem Kyrie did not know how to solve, despite thinking on it for several hours. With no other recourse, she decided to return to the Aerie to seek guidance from her Elders. One in particular she felt was certain to be able to offer some advice.

Kyrie made her way to the cliff face below the Aerie and began to ascend the steep climb along the switchbacking path. After a few moments of climbing, she encountered a natural defense in the path; a small chasm opened around a bend in the trail. Too wide to jump over, the chasm would be virtually impassable to any regular person simply walking up the trail. Fortunately for the Haari, they were not regular people. Closing her eyes, Kyrie whispered a prayer to the Wind, asking for its Blessing. She felt a gust rise up around her feet, lifting her up off the trail and gently depositing her on the other side of the gap. Opening her eyes, Kyrie breathed a quick prayer of thanks, and continued up the cliff face.

Nearly an hour later, she reached the top. Without delay, she made her way to her Battle Master's home. Bernard looked surprised to see her as she slipped through the doorway. "Back so soon, lass? I did not expect to see you for months."

Kyrie went on to explain everything she had learned about the Mana Tree and the temples that housed the Spears that could defeat the evil the world now faced. She then explained about the floating islands.

Bernard took all the information in without interrupting Kyrie's torrent of words. Once she had finished, he spoke. "Lass, you already know what you have to do. Why do you think the Tree called to you, and sent you to this particular temple? The Haari are one of the few who could possibly reach these floating islands. You will have to pay the Price."

Kyrie was silent as she took this information in. She had only paid the Price one other time, and it was in a situation of dire need. It was not something she liked to think about. She had hoped to never have to use that ability again. But it seemed the Winds had other ideas on their fickle minds.

Kyrie stayed the night in the Aerie, resting and recouping, and preparing for her long journey across the continent to the point where she could access the floating islands of Levert. The next morning, she set out, freshly equipped, with the Winds in her face.

It was a poor omen with which to start a journey.

OOC: Well, im confused as to which temple you're meant to be going, Kevin. Apparently, its not the desert. Ill get us to the inn and when you sort tit out, lead us to your temple. Srry for the g-mod.

"So, do you plan to rest here or should we head to the next city before the sun goes up again?"

It was a good question. Both herself and Virginia are hardened warriors, so any wild animals, bandits or demon for that matter, shouldn't be an issue. That being the case, it was worth more to push forward till the next city and rest properly before headiing out towards Virginia's temple.

I suggest we depart towards the city. The better we rest properly, the more efficient and alert we will be when we set off. I do not fancy confronting another God or spirit unless i am myself completely.

That being said, Phallia marched off into the woods. The surroundings were typical, accompanied by the sounds of its inhabitants. The more vicious predators seem to know to avoid the human path and the bandits appear to be having a holiday. Their short trip to the nearest village was so uneventful, that Phallia felt like she could fall asleep while walking. There was no fear of that though as they had reached a rather decent looking in. Without waiting, Phallia paid for their lodging rooms.

Well. I will see you tomorrow at sunrise. Its best to get an early start. I bid you a good night.
