Seriously, Microsoft's E3 really sucked...kinda glad they didn't announce a new console though, means Sony might not release one either. At least this is my hope.

Seriously, Microsoft's E3 really sucked...kinda glad they didn't announce a new console though, means Sony might not release one either. At least this is my hope.

Agreed. I think the last thing we need is a new generation console (sorry Wii U). Games are expensive enough imo. They should just focus more on producing games with the current consoles instead of compromising quality for "exclusiveness." I mean, they're pretty high-end as it is when it comes to graphics && performance.

Also, the Usher performance was quite random and unnecessary imo! xD But hey, maybe they needed to add some "excitement" into the E3 mix. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to Sony && Square Enix's press conference. ^^

for the rest of today in UK Time :)

9PM - EA

11PM - Ubisoft

2AM - Sony

I tuned in a couple times but wasn't blown away by anything. And definitely not impressed with Usher. I'm hoping that something tomorrow will get me worked up though.

I didn't watch much of Microsoft's conference. I don't own an Xbox so it doesn't interest me much. I did see the Tomb Raider gameplay footage though. I liked what I saw with that.

I'm currently watching EA's conference which isn't my cup of tea either. I'm not into Sports Games or most shooters. I'm patiently waiting for Sony's turn.

Spoilers for anyone who has not seen yet.

Wow, that Farcry 3 part was a little...um...surprising; definitely was not expecting nudity & sex at 6;00 PM how the hell did they even get away with that? But I was blown away by ZombieU; it looks really amazingly perf -- I am really depressed though since I may not get a WiiU -- not even sure I know what a WiiU is >.>

But omigod, holy shit, ACIII just blew me away; I am loving Connor the more and more I see from him :ari: Ubisoft surely will outdo themselves for this one; I just can't wait 'til November now  *hoping for historically accurate story*

Out of what's been shown so far, Microsoft and EA's were terrible and Ubisoft's was pretty good. Assassin's Creed III and Watch Dogs look great, and I've already preordered the former. Though Shootmania that they showed after ACIII looked really stupid and can't even hope to compete with other gaming sports games like Counter-Strike or Dota. Hoping Sony has some good stuff to show, they don't need much to beat out Microsoft, who is trying to copy Nintendo again.

I'm mostly excited for nintendo! I really want a wiiU and i just got the 3DS so hopefully they announce some new stuff!

Though I am looking forward to sony too, just not as much.

The fact that xbox sucked didn't surprise me though.

I only liked Halo 4 from Microsoft's Conference as I am a big Halo fan and it looked bloody amazing :) Also we actually go a glimpse of what the new COD will play like and that is COD copy and paste with a few new gismos. EA's I watched and I really didn't like it at all and Ubisoft so far has the strongest lineup so far. AC3 and Watch dogs look amazing, I am currently waiting for Sony's but I don't go for this company needs to win philosophy. I just want to see The Last of Us and that is it, Sony will just blabber on about statistics that's all. Xbox sorry to say this is the much better entertainment system for being stuck in the living room. I love my playstation, but the xbox gives me all these services which are beyond handy. Sony buck your ideas up!!!!!

I've got to say, I'm really looking forward to Last of Us after seeing it at E3. I didn't really know anything about it. But it looks like a game that is really going to get you lost in the beauty of the environments and then blindside you with the action. AC3 looks interesting but I never finished AC2 of the spin offs. So I should probably get to it. I missed Watch Dogs but my friend sent me a text and said I should look it up.

I'm looking forward to playing The Last of Us, Beyond, and Assasin's Creed III. I haven't played any AC yet, so I do want to play the previous games before playing the third one. But based on gameplay and watching others playing the games I know I'll like them.

I just wish there was some mention of Versus XIII at E3. :/

Well according to Microsoft the E3 presentation isnt accurate voila:

“Our message is simple: Whether it’s one of our beloved franchises or something totally new, there’s only one place to find them all — Xbox 360.”

The last of us looks so goood and beyond looks really promising :sad3: Why do I have to be such a chicken when it comes to games. I wanna play them! :rage:

Sony's Conference was just as bad as Microsofts....nobody could say The Last of Us saved it.....or God of War because yes they showed gameplay but that is what WE WERE expecting and of course they showed it. It is the same with Halo 4 we expected it to be shown which is all in all a great thing. The only difference is Sony showed off Beyond which looks really unique and promising. However everything else Sony went on to talk about sucked a lot and I wanted Jack Tretton to shut up. But hey this is my opinion so everyone to themselves.

EA so far in a nutshell:

Oh Lord :ffs:

I didn't watch it live as I was studying/sleeping, but I caught up on the feed. Microsoft, while maintaining its dignity since the last two years, still had a pretty terrible conference that had to be broken up with a bit of Usher waltzing in randomly (...why? How much did they pay for him). And all this timed DLC crap is really putting me off Microsoft. What? Are you telling me that rather than have a solid lineup of system sellers and enticing new IPs to sell the 360 on its own merits, you splash out for timed DLC instead? What's that supposed to do? Wean PS3 players over to the 360? Unlikely, though it will probably entice people to opt for the 360 over a PS3 if they still haven't crossed over to the current generation yet. And meanwhile, Fable looks laughable as ever.

Sony seemed just as dreadful. Why spend so much time on the Wonderbook rubbish? I don't doubt that it's a great product for the family, but it wasn't worth 30 minutes of your E3 conference screening. It's not as bad as Microsoft 2010 with its Kinect idiocy or Nintendo's shocking 2008 show with the four people behaving like they have epilepsy on that Wii Music thing, but something else could have been shown in HALF that time. Like Vita games. Hey Sony, remember your Vita? You know, the hardware of impressive calibre and specs, but is trailing in terms of sales and desperately needs some more games? But of course, go ahead and announce only two things for it: Ass Creed Liberation (which I suppose looks decent) and...fucking Call of Duty. Honest to God, someone else please reveal something enticing for the Vita.

The terrible conferences aside, I pretty much ignored EA because I don't think there was anything for me worth seeing. Ubisoft has single-handedly blown me away with Watch Dog. I fail to see how something like that could be for the current consoles, because the processing power required looks like it would be better for the next-gen consoles and PC. But hey, I'm not complaining. It honestly is refreshing to see an ambitious new IP from Ubisoft that isn't just another Assassin's Creed (though Ass Creed III looks decent, so long as they remember that Templars are on both sides and not to go jingoistic for the American audience!) and it looks amazing. The downside is, it's New York...again. Oh, wow. How refreshing. We've never been there before. I bet I pretty much have the entire damn city memorised street to street by now.

Microsoft conference: D-
Sony conference: C-
EA conference: Don't know, don't care
Ubisoft conference: B+

Games of the show so far:

+ Tomb Raider - though it honestly looks more like a less linear Uncharted than actual Tomb Raider, it still looks awesome.
+ The Last Of Us - oh God, actual health bar and no regenerating health. I forgot what they look like - this actually looks like an actual apocalyptic survival game!
+ Assassin's Creed III
+ Watch Dogs - has stolen the show for me so far!
+ Beyond - dem visuals!

The 'Hey, looks decent' games:

+ Star Wars 1313 (is there a level 66 on Coruscant then? Is that where the Emperor concocted his KILL THE JEDI order?)
+ The Amazing Spider-Man - please don't suck...
+ Metal Gear Rising
+ Assassin's Creed Liberation - oh my God, female main character who in the short trailer I have seen doesn't yet look overly sexualised?!
+ South Park RPG

The ones to watch out for later in E3 games:

+ Lego Lord of the Rings - I've been waiting for this. Intrigued to know how this will work, yet apprehensive as to whether the voices will kill the humourous charm of previous Lego games.
+ Sleeping Dogs
+ Fire Emblem: Awakening

I didn't think Sony's conference was as bad as everyone is saying it is... Overall, I was pleased with Sony; Nice intro, some good games, pretty straightforward presentation (unlike Ubisoft's trainwreck of a conference). *I agree that the whole Wonderbooks segment dragged on for far too long though.

Games to look out for so far: Watch Dogs, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, && Assassin's Creed III (&& ACIII: Liberation)

I wasn't too thrilled with Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale. It's oozes Super Smash Brothers, and judging by the gameplay, it doesn't really look like it'll hold up well. x__x I'd like to see Parappa the Rappa fight though. xD

The game I'm looking forward to the most so far is that South Park RPG, and that's a definite sign that things are pretty bad so far imo. Fortunately, we have Nintendo starting up soon, so there'll finally be something to look out for from them...I hope.
