Doctor Who

There was a clip where they kiss.D:

It won't ever be as good as TennantxPiper. </3

Nuuuuuuuuuuuuu, just because it's a new Doctor, he can't just move on like that because he's still supposed to be the same person :rage:

Not into that at ALL

In an interview, Karen Gillan has said that she (as in Amy Pond) really fancies The Doctor, but that's as far as it goes. It'll probably be like it was with Martha.

Also, the new Daleks are funky.

xD

Anyways, very much liking the new set up so far. Really like Smith as The Doctor, hopefully he's slapped the critics in the face after all the unessesary critism he got after like, what 2 minutes of acting after the regeneration? Karen Gillan is fucking awesome to, hot much? I think so. Love her character to. Already like her more than Rose (though that's probably because I despise Billie Piper)

The writing in the last episode wasn't that great though tbh, story seemed to move way to quickly, obviously they are going to go back to it, but still think it should've been a two parter. Fucking excited for the Weeping Angles and River Song though. Loving the way Moffat hasn't forgotten the shit from the Library episodes. Really looks like he's going to make Smith into the Doctor River Song spoke of, with the whole armies turning and running just from hearing his name (eyeball thingys from the first episode) and the whole clicking of the finger TARDIS thing.

Tennant did the finger clicking thing at the end of the Library two parter though, and it worked for him. The next episode is the one I've been looking forward to ever since I found out Moffat was bringing back the Lonely Assassins. I just hope Matt Smith is up to that job, because I thought David Tennant was on top form in Blink.

I don't know what to make of this new Doctor, but he's definately got off to a good start.

The new assistant's a good choice too. No offense to Catherine Tate but this new assistant holds up as a better assistant then she does, since Donna was over expressionate (too much like her sketch shows).

The jammy dodger line was very funny, and I like the look of the new Daleks. But I agreed with someone I knew when they said the last episode might have been better suited as a two parter.

I've actually spent this entire week introducing myself to Dr. Who, something I've been meaning to do for ages (I'm actually a massive Trekkie). And whoa, I'm hooked on it. Blink is definitely my favourite episode though, it was so well done, and I'm looking forward to seeing if the new doctor can be anywhere near as awesome as Tennant.

I really enjoyed that two-parter with the Weeping Angels, though that last five minutes of tonight's episode was really strange -
the Doctor's bewildered response to Amy trying to have it off with him was hilarious

Tonights episode scared me. The weeping angels are the only things in Doctor Who that have ever actually scared me, especially the first ever time they appeared. I couldn't look at statues of anything resembling angels for ages >_>
I agree about the ending though, that made me laugh a lot :lew:

Steven Moffat is a fantastic writer. I don't think I could have been much happier with the last two episodes. It was a pretty good twist to use the crack storyline this early on in the series, rather than leaving it as the finale.
Is anyone thinking Sisters of Eluria when they look at this vampires in Venice thing?

The new series just started here. Hopefully it's better than the last one I think, with Catherine Tate or whatever her name was. I thought some of those were dire, the pompeii episode was so bad I gave up. It seems better than those ones, but not as good as the first series or two.

I agree, Pompeii episode was boring... well, most season four episodes were.. they had some good ones, but Catherine Tate was just... meh at best. =/

the weeping angels terrified me, I had nightmares after both episodes, I think Doctor Who is definately back on form, didnt get to watch much of last weeks, so il try to get it iPlayered tonight

I hatet hat its on on saturdays, I always miss it :sad3:

Yeah xD

Vampires of Vanice is Smith's best episode so far imo, simply down to his interaction with the other characters. There wasn't to much running around and travelling so we got to see more of him as The Doctor (as in, using his brain) which was pretty awesome.

Really looking forward to tonight's episode, looks like it's going to be a complete mind fuck (I hope anyways)

When people refer to the first and second series, they refer to the entirely brand new revamped version of Doctor Who from 2005 and beyond. NOT all the way back then.

I loved how dark Amy's Choice was. I was a little skeptical when I found out it was written by the same guy that wrote Men Behaving Badly, but its probably been one of my favourites so far, although it felt a little too much like a zombie flick at points.
I went through the whole episode expecting the Dream Lord to be
Rory.
