Manchest is different than boobies bouncing about. Manchest/manboobies ALWAYS show and aren't as degrading as having almost every female character in a series have large amounts of boob shots! :gasp:
 
I imagine it'll be just one of those things that isn't shoved in your face all the time :hmmm: it's not like Dissidia is a pornfest, I just think it'll be a little novelty that people will forget about in a few weeks :wacky:
 
Probably, though I never stopped looking (not in a pervy way! shesh!) at the girl in Street Fighter. It was really distracting and really...wrong. >.<
 
... why is this such a huge deal? :lew: Boobs bounce. If I got up off my couch and jumped up and down or kicked and punched a few times (God I'd look stupid doing so) my boobs would bounce. It's what happens when you're a chick with boobs. The game's being realistic, even if it is being used as a sex appeal selling point :wacky: I won't be surprised if we get Tifa panty shots either tbh. She's doing high kicks... in a miniskirt. It happens.

That aside, does anyone know how many characters we're expecting?
 
^ S-E hasn't given a definitive answer for the amount of new characters. At the very least there will be a minimum of 7 since interviews have mentioned we should see a character from SNES era to appear after Yuna apparently.

I personally believe it'll be 8, because along with the unknown SNES character, we still don't know which Chaos POV we get to play. I just really think it's gonna be a new character all together, not someone we already know of :hmmm:

I was thinking about saying the same thing, but because I'm a dude it would be suggested that would be wrong of me. :sad2: (EDIT! - By that I mean what you stated, not that if I got off my couch and jumped up and down my own chest would bounce. Just had to make that clear. :rage:)

I think that the only issue there could possibly be with the chest bouncing is that they've drawn attention to it in an interview, but that itself is just them making a little joke (and to grab support from male fans, obviously). It's not going to be a main focus for the game anymore than shirtless Tidus is (which I believe is even more catered to satisfy sexual desires than Tifa's chest, as at least in FFVII Tifa had a chest, whereas I don't remember Tidus being topless in FFX).

Then again, I don't remember seeing what this bouncing is like in trailers / video demonstrations, so I don't know how exaggerated it is. If they are bouncing up into her face, and swinging round and round just because she has made a small step forward, then I think I'd understand that this is a seriously awful decision on the part of SE.

I don't see it as degrading at all. I mean, say if they put it in there for realism like Jess said, (which I'm fine with, the more realistic, the better) and they wouldn't have stated anything about it, no one would've made a big deal out of it.

But because someone stated something over the boob jiggle, it blew up. They made the game before saying it, maybe with the same intentions, but I like to think of it as realism. If fans wanna drool over it and just look it's their loss.

I respect everyone's opinion on this, but this is just the way I see it. ;)

I love Tifa as a character and for her personality, I've got my own set of boobs.

It's just a bunch of fat anyways. :monster:

I thought I saw a glimpse of a red skirt. Tbh, I rather have her Nibelheim outfit, over the actual "sketch" aka red skirt and stuff. xD

I hope it's the cowboy outfit! That'd be cool!
 
I remember reading about a supposed leak from a EU's collector edition including a DLC costume of Tifa (that never specified what it was, although I assumed it would be her Nibelheim outfit), but I don't recall ever seeing it :hmmm:
 
About the topic of the bouncing boobs, I think that it's a bit unfair to say that it's downgrading women when Tidus, Squall, and Jecht are walking around topless/ sleeveless shirts. Men haven't complained, even though Final Fantasy males have been used a sexual objects. I'm a feminist, and really dislike it when females are being used as sexual objects. But this feels more fair. Both sexes, are now being sexed-up for the fanbase. If fangirls have a right to squeal over Tidus's and Vaan's topless chests, why can't the guys have their right to enjoy some booby- bouncing ?

Plus I've always pictured Tifa to have her boobs bounce while fighting. Her breasts are rather large, and she's a boxer/ judo fighter, and they move around alot while fighting, so realistically, her boobs are going to bounce. I've always thought that's the way SE originally attended it to be, but they couldn't do it because of the graphics. But male characters are kind of being used more as sexual objects than the women really. The Tifa bouncing is realistic, and Vaan, Tidus and Jecht have their shirts off on purpose. :hmmm:

This. This precisely. I couldn't have put it better myself - the addition of Tifa is an equalizer in a field that has been tipped in the way of man-candy rather than woman candy. There's been no word of exploitation when Jecht and Vaan and Tidus and Sephiroth were topless in all their bishonen glory, but as soon as Tifa's added the game's thrown to the wolves.

Another thing - exactly what was everybody expecting with this? Tifa is, arguably, the most well endowed person in FF and her outfit, though probably used initially to add a little... *ahem* extra to her job (remember how she was a bartender in the Midgar slums? Yeah.), is as iconic as her fighting style. S-E probably would've copped flak from diehard fans if they changed her too much.

But still, it was a bit immature of them to let this joke leak. Let's keep everything above board - on both levels.
P.S I'm gonna be using her Alt costume as soon as I can get it and not changing back. I hate how unrealistic that outfit is for combat.
 
Okay but just let me say that Vaan, is in no way, eye candy to anybody ever. He's possibly one of the weirdest, most awkward looking 'real' characters and maybe one of very few leads who isn't hot. :mokken:

Also tbh, going by art and shit i've seen... Isn't Tifa a little less endowed than her FF7 counterpart? It'd probably reduce the jiggle factor, no? :monster:

No but in all seriousness. What Jess said about the boobs thing. Also I've seen gameplay with Tifa, and if there was any boob jiggling I didn't notice. Maybe I'm not hetero enough. :sad3:

Mind, I do like Tifa's hat in her Nibelheim outfit, so if that'll get on as an Alt outfit, I'll be happy about it. Mind, that's also triggered a thought, I could so see them making Zack and alt outfit for Cloud now. If someone's already said that, I dunno, I didn't read everything I missed.
 
Quick question, does anyone know when the next Shonen Jump scan of Yuna will be out? I thought they were supposed to come out this week...
