I think this is a model from Crisis Core, not Dissidia 012. Someone on ffchaoticcosmos posted it up thinking it was from DFF: 012 too.

Good close up, but poor base on Amano work, her hair is supposed to be white. :hmmm: And it's not much.. of a difference at all except for a colour pallet switch. Teenage Hooker Tifa woulda been better imo.

Nah, it was in game for Dissidia. I remember talking about it and saying something about her clothes looking a bit weird compared to the art... :(

So it is an Amano version, eh? I was hoping for Nibelheim Tifa, but with all the Amano alts already being used, I guess its not that surprising :hmmm:
 
Gerr, now I feel like I went crazy. I was hoping by the time I came back, someone found the image I was talking about earlier. Dang it!

But I remember it so vividly. It had to be real :(
 
Well, the pic is a bit small, I can't see details clearly. It just looks a bit different from Tifa's outfit in Crisis Core, but we just have to wait.
I'm looking forward to seeing Yuna's outfit... I mean, I wanna know as soon as possible if she has both costumes, summoner and gunner.

Does anyone know anything about the new (and probably the last) character from NES generation??
I've read somewhere about an interview... Nomura said that FF1 won't have additions, neither for characters nor for arenas. Every chapter of FF will have an addition, either a character or an arena (the 2 exceptions are FF12 and 13, they had both).
Then, he said that the number of the new characters and the number of the new arenas will be equal.
So... we have new arenas for FF2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 13. (7 on the whole)
and we have new characters for FF4, 7, 8, 10, 12 and 13 (6).
So... if this is true, only one character will be added. And it's from FF5, the only chapter which doesn't have neither a new character nor a new arena.

Do you think this is true?? Who do you think they'll put??
 
If the character ends up being a from FFV, I want Faris because:

She's awesome
We need me girls
She's a pirate
She's a cross dresser
I wanna see a gag scene of Bartz getting hawt for "him"

I still think we'll get 8 characters all together though. We still need a Chaos POV, right?
 
Unless the final character, the chaos POV and the FFV character are all the same, and the character is revealed as Gilgamesh.

I could easily see them doing a POV story for Gilgamesh.


I really do hope that we get more than that though. I'd be very happy with Gilgamesh, but I'd really love more than just a group of heroes and one extra villain.
 
I'll be really glad to see Faris too... she's really funny and awesome. It would be nice to see more than 7 characters, of course. At this point, I think we need villains, and possibly more than 2, 'cause characters who fight for Cosmos are too much compared with the villains. Don't you think so?
 
That's the fickle thing though-these Chaos characters were the ends bosses of their respective games (for the most part), with a whole gang of people against them. I don't think it's that far fetched for only a handful of Chaos Warriors able to hold their own against more Cosmos Warriors :hmmm:
 
I still don't think we'll be getting villains as new characters. It doesn't really make sense since they are already winning the war. And I thought I read someplace that Nomura said something about it. :/

Oh well, I suppose we'll know sooner or later.

I just hope we get:
Faris -- she's wicked!
Celes/Edgar -- they would be great! :3
Beatrix/Eko -- I love them! Fav in the game! :>

And maybe another character from FF2.

It would be great to see those characters.. :(
 
Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll be seeing two more characters revealed in the next few months and, unfortunately, I can't see them being Beatrix, Faris or Celes. Edgar, possibly. He's got a relationship with Terra (even though it is one-sided) and his playstyle could be interesting to watch. The main problem with Edgar would be differentiating his personality to that of Zidane - both are relatively carefree ladies men, so S-E would have to play up the royal side of him.

As for who I think could get in, let's see... we know that there will be no more from FF 1-3, and we know that some FFs have already been represented. That leaves us with FFs 5, 6, 9 and 11. Of these, I think FF9 is the one least likely to get a new character, with FF 5 and 6 tied in second and 11 getting a new character almost for certain (remember - in the Jump Festa trailer (or whatever it was), we saw a clip of Shanotto laughing her punchable head off on an outcropping).

So, I think we'll see, should a character be introduced from any of these:

*FF5: Gilgamesh. Terribly sorry to all the Faris-fans out there, but the PCs from FF5 had very little to differentiate themselves from each other. Unless Faris brings a sort of job-changing system to the table (which I think is very unlikely), Faris will lose over the eternal faker, Gilgamesh.

FF6: Edgar. He's just too cool to leave out of this, combined with the fact that the machines in the original were almost custom-made for him in retrospect. What his playstyle would be is a mystery, though he could be the long-awaited physical long-range combatant I've been looking out for.

FF9: Vivi. A common element running through the trailers and gameplay so far has been the lack of a truly definite boundary between the forces of Cosmos and the forces of Chaos. Vivi, being
constructed by Kuja as a weapon of war and "gifted" with a very shortened lifespan
is a prime candidate for self-reflection and possibly even a rebellion against Chaos. How he'd play is a different story, though - I can imagine that he'd use black magics like Jecht attacks - Focussing them before unleashing hell.

*FF11: The Shadowlord. Let's face it - we've seen almost every FF get either the head villain or what approximates to the head villain as the opposition and FF11 is mysteriously absent in their foe. The Shadowlord is the best choice for the spot as, being the final boss and a being of malevolence and hate, he fits so well (my apologies for not going into detail here. I've never played FF11 so I am not qualified to say much.)

The asterisks mark who I think is most likely to get in. Just remember, though, kiddies - the end number of new characters was stated to be between 3 and 10, so if every one of those came to pass, there would be 10 new characters.

We can all live in hope, huh?

Wow.... it's like, her other clothes... what a rip. :ahmed: I was thinking they were gonna make her somethin' new :hmmm:
 
I wonder if there will be any more FFXIII character?

Coz with the Assist mode thingy it seems like S-E would give there highlighted newcomers to Dissidia a team mate of sorts:hmmm: because we have TidusxYuna and CloudxTifa I think Lightning should get a another FFXIII.

Why her above any of the other Characters Im not sure:lew:

Zidane and Edgar have one trait in common: women. But each of them act upon it entirely different. Zidane is more up front about it (touched Garnet's butt xD) while Edgar is more "old man styled" like Knights and whatnot (but not like Cyan).

Zidane swears and whatnot, Edgar doesn't. They speak and act very different. Though the similarity is what originally made me fall for Zidane xD

I think it would be really easy to show a difference (like you said, really enhance the royal side of Edgar, just to be safe), unless they don't know how different the characters are themselves xD

Tetsuya has stated interest in putting Sazh in Dissidia. However, there are characters higher up in the importance spectrum, such as Snow and Vanille so...we'll see if they give it the slide and put him in anyway.

I was holding out a small glimmer of hope they'd put Seifer in as a Chaos warrior, but now they've put Laguna in I can't see them adding another character from VIII. However, I feel they'd be able to pull of Beatrix as a Chaos warrior.

I'm also kinda curious as to whether or not they'll add more characters from XI. My knowledge of it isn't that big because I didn't get too deep into it before I decided to cancel my subcription, but I can kinda see them adding a Mithra character, purely for the sake that a neko-ish character would sell if you consider the audience demographic.

Lookin' good. I think it's worth noting that this probably won't be the final box art, so whatever characters are missing from the front or back shouldn't be too much to fuss over xD

Random: Am I the only one who get's the feeling WoL is coming off main character-ish? Some people have mentioned Lightning as getting the spotlight, but I think it's really him. I think he's the person everyone's talking about in the game scenes, and he has that intimate scene with Cosmos too, so...

Remember the first trailer? When we see WoL without his helmet...yeah, I thought that was them adding a female WoL because I generally thought that was a girl then xD Just had to put that out there.

Alas, I kinda agree but Lightning has been getting the biggest fuss during this marketting campaign. However, I can see WoL getting MUCH more attention come the actual game itself.
 
Can we change that picture to a link? :wacky: and my gawd, the gfx are pretty. I really wish they would have given the characters newer clothes but, ehh.
