Way to represent female characters as nothing but sex objects. So pathetic, man. I swear. Is SE seriously trying to sell this game by including that Tifa's and other women's breast will jiggle?

If all this game will be is just girls in over sexed close ups, I'mma hafta pass on this.

And god damn it, if we're getting boob jiggles and close ups, I better see Cloud naked.

Maybe it's just the geek in me, but I'd say the bouncing is more of a technical wow than anything. Most games on underpowered systems don't have the jiggle because the game system apparently can't handle it.

However when we talk about the morality of it, meh, I don't know.

It's like they think that's ALL the female characters are good for... to have boob shots and boob jiggle scenes. I'm glad they haven't done that to Rinoa or Aerith yet. I'd be pissed if I were a Lightning or Tifa fan. This is crap.

That's a 2D game though. We're talking 3D games. The way to produce graphics on either is different... with 3D we're talking physics. With 2D, we're talking pixels, which is much simpler.

And I will admit that game was a little extreme... they took a feature and based a pretty good portion of the game around it.

Also I agree that that was a fanboy game. But so is every spinoff... just not always in the same way.

But we're talking about Dissidia .

Talking about how Square Enix continues to butcher Tifa and Lightning as female characters counts as discussion.

I can't honestly be the only one getting annoyed by Square Enix's antics of reducing what could be strong characters to just sex objects, can I? I mean, it's insulting that Square thinks women are just good for their breasts or something. It's beyond sexist.

And here I was expecting the women to kick some butt and do it with their class. Square does it again. :/

Well if you want to boycott the game, that's up to you. But if you boycott this game over it, you might as well boycott 50% of all other games over it too. Problem is that the market for the game is mostly male-driven.

I don't think Square is necessarily thinking that women "are just good for their breasts". If anything, they're just pandering to the usual fanboys of their main Japanese audience, who are - incidentally - mainly males. This is the sort of stuff you commonly see over there, and really, it's not the first time we've seen SE do this. The 3rd Birthday really flies into your face when you consider how much fanservice that is giving out - and that game is really not trying to be subtle about it either. While I am not defending SE for anything here, they're clearly aiming to appeal to as many people as they can with this game even if they are resorting to this kind of cheap tactic you normally find in many crap games out there. Whether you like it or not, this does sell.

They have, and they'll keep doing it for the male/lesbian fanbase.

I think what's important is that people are able to look passed it, and appreciate the character for who/what they are.

The girls can't help they're drop dead gorgeous, but it's their personality that makes them stand out so much more.

So for me, I don't understand why it'd piss people off. You can't hide boobs, well... you normally wouldn't anyway.

I love the graphics in the upcoming game, and the Tifa screens look amazing. I'm so psyched for it.

Nomura would never reduce Aerith to a sex-object, it's just not her. But just because Tifa has large breasts doesn't mean that's what should be focused on most. What about her eyes? her hair? or heck, what about her fighting style instead of close ups of her breasts jiggling.

Of course. But over emphasizing on them jiggling or showing shots of them just cuz they're breasts--which they always do with characters(Lightning, Tifa, etc)--is tasteless and lessens a female character's quality as a respectable fighter. People have a habit of seeing certain female characters as just their breasts. When that's not right.



I'm just a little let down, they put Lightning in coyote ugly attire, and are now going to include "breasts jiggling"--it's crap that's all women are for in these games.

Its S-E creation they depict there characters how they like, I have no problem with them accentuating the larger breasted female character of FF its what they are about, Lulu, Tifa there large breasted women in the world so why not put them in a video game.

Reality is after all where they get there ideas.

Not putting them in DD12 is not going to happen they open up the universe of FF and they get to display all the characters from the series id prefer if they pissed of all the loser characters from before FFVI and only kept the villains from those games.

Seriously though, Tifa, Red and Yuffie (Plus Cid and Barret) are my favorite in the game, and I do not appreciate -- especially as a woman and as a fan of Tifa -- SE making her only has a sexual object. They didn't have to do that with her boobs, its really disrespectful, and she's not even real!

It makes me feel as if that's all SE/Nomura thinks of women as, which is another reason why I don't really like him much anymore...

Anyway, soundtrack is out! If no one posted about it! :3

Don't most games in this day and age have boob jiggling with their women? Tbh I don't see it as making them a sex symbol, more a case of showing realism. Considering boobs aren't going to stay grafted in place when you are running and jumping around

Just my view on it tbh, most games of this generation have boob jiggling women from what i've seen

On a seperate note, soundtrack? Including all the battle tracks?

if u really think about it, there's not many characters that have the 'big boob size' as much as i like looking at them some of the 'less busty' women are more good looking... take garnet from 9, i through she was a great ff girl.... and she doesn't show anything.... and like the female main in ffxii was good looking.... again no boobs... so girls in ff aint all about the 'big bumps'

It's not about what someone else portrays them as in my opinion. I'm a hardcore Tifa fan, and I'm not letting the creators bother me with how I think about her. The way I see it, they're trying to make money with pointing these things out, as far as Tifa goes, it's not her fault. She's pixelated, nothing she can do. xD

It's not about what somebody else portrays them as, what matters is how you see them. =)

That said, for me, she's a sure shot ahead of 'a hot chick with jiggly boobs'.

I love Tifa too, and this is just them trying to degrade her character because they think people won't a: like the game without the mega boob shots and b: No Tifa shots. They obviously don't see her as a good character without the boobs....

Oh well I suppose, Tifa's always going to represent this to them, no way to fix it.

In fairness it is a relatively mild thing when you get down to it in the game. Degrading it may be but it'll sell the product and most people will probably look past the jiggleboobs after playing the game a bit. To me it's just a mild novelty, i'll probably not notice after a while

Take the Soul Calibur series, I don't really focus on the boob jiggling on that and SC is practically famous for it's busty boob jiggler female characters
