And since Dan already brought it up, anyone up for a game of Fat Princess this Saturday around the lets say this time or so? Even if you don't have the game you can download the demo since you can play it online. Anyone interested? :neomon:

I really wanted to play with you, and it was the "say goodbye to Ryno" game, and it was ruined! :rage:

Hopefully us lot won't have connection issues on Sat. I know I haven't had a habit of it on Fat Princess so we should be ok.
 
@Dan: I didn't have any connection problems when I played with you before. It may have just been someone else's connection in the game.

@Ryan: That sucks but there will be other chances, no worries. :neomon: What happened to you the last time you played it?
 
The game either crashed or no one could connect because of lag so it just freaked out. The one time we did get a game is when we were on opposite teams :(
 
I'd really like to join, but me and my house mate are going to the pub on Saturday. :( We've been cooped up for days revising so we need to get a few bevvies down us. :sad3:
 
What's FP all about? Like, how's the multiplayer gameplay? And how much does it cost?
 
Okay Ewan, hope you have fun! You can join us next time.

Basically the object of Fat Princess is to rescue your princess from the enemy's castle while still holding onto their princess, similar to capture the flag. To make it harder for the enemy to capture the princess you can feed the princess cake which will eventually make her fat and heavy thus making it hard for the one carrying the princess to move at a decent speed. 1-32 people can play in one game and you can play local co-op with up to 4 people.

You also get to use 6 different classes, 9 if you buy the DLC. They are Villager, Worker, Priest, Mage, Ranger, and Warrior with Pirates, Ninjas, and Giants being DLC classes. Each class has it's own advantages and disadavantages and, with the exception of the Villager and DLC classes, each class can be upgraded if you have enough wood and metal in your castle stockpile.

There are other game modes as well besides Rescue the Princess.

Snatch 'n Grab which is basically Rescue the Princess except you have to do it 3 times instead of once in order to win.

Invasion is where the object is to take over the land. Each team starts out with a number of points and you have to take over the castle outposts. The more outposts you take over, the faster your points will drop. The first team to reach 0 points wins.

Finally there's Team Deathmatch though I don't think I need to explain this one much :P

The full game costs $15 however the demo is free. In the demo the gameplay is the same. The only difference is that you can only play on one map and you can only play either Rescue the Princess or Team Deathmatch.

Although, if we speak then I guarantee I'll forget about having to press a button for you guys to hear the mic and end up sat in my room, talking to myself.... :lew:

I just hope that I don't need to update. My PS3 has gone nuts with an "80029564" error which essentially corrupts anything I try to update.

I tried to install the LBP2 demo and it got that error and corrupted the file. Then I tried to play Super Stardust HD and needed to install an update, only to get the same error... It corrupted the entire game file. :sad2: I can re-install it but it would have to be when it isn't playing up...

So I can join you on Fat Princess so long as I don't need to update anything! If I do, I'll have to cancel. I don't want Fat Princess corrupted! :rage:!
 
Pfft how dare she. Though I get distracted when I do essays also. FFF etc XD. Ugh Ill probably get one my first week back :sad3:
