For storyline, no.

For enjoyment, perhaps. It's better having played the first game as you understand the relationships between Drake and some of the other characters. There are also various references in the game which refer to the first game which will be lost to you if you haven't played the first.

It isn't essential though, and you can pretty much just get the second game and still enjoy it a lot.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm planning to go on in about an hour. Possibly an hour and a half.

I just need to eat first, and it essentially takes me an hour to eat because I'm a slow eater who doesn't like to choke and die. :sad2:
 
You're such a sissy. xD I eat while I play UC2. Maybe that's why I suck.
