Do you let your friends borrow your games or any other items you posses?

Discuss: Do you let your friends borrow your items?

Sure, although some of the games that my friends have borrowed seemed to have never made their way back to my collections. But they're friends, and I have already played with the games anyway, so I don't really mind. I mean, as long as my friends can be found and not far from my sights, then it's all good.

But if it's Final Fantasy, I'm actually more strict about that...

Yeah, I just let my friend borrow FFXII and I am like...counting days. lmao.

I was being extra nice.

Eh, I'd let them borrow it if I really trust them. I made the mistake once of letting a friend borrow my Civilization 3 game and he never returned it. That was the year I moved to California from Asia, and yes, I never saw it again. :'(
Otherwise I would, I need to pay back all the times I myself borrowed from my friends.

I never really borrow from my friends because my friends don't really own the games I play. So lame.

On ocassion I do, but it's no longer happening as my current friends in the area I live,* sheads a tear* dont play FF, cause they say they dont either understand it or just dont like it, and or doesnt seem intresting.

I do a lot, yeah. My mate borrowed all of the older FF's from me so he didn't have to buy them. I lend DVDs out a lot, right now someone has Family Guy series 1 & 2, Team America, Snatch and Alien vs Predator. And he still wants me to pay him the money I owe him, even though all those DVDs are worth about as much as I owe. xD

Haha 90 percent of my stuff in my room isn't owned by me but by my friends. I always convince them to let me borrow it. Then either sell it or keep it. I did try and ask for a wii once but he wouldn't let me :'(

Lord no. Not that I distrust any of them, I'm just... really-really selfish. A couple have asked for videogames and such, but I said no there and then. The furthest I'd go is let them play the game at my house, or if I take a game over for duration of my visit.

Haha. I am not surprised you're such a selfish person. :p.

I just get worried if they are going to scratch my damn game. That shit would sooo ruin everything. It's quite annoying. This is actually my first time letting a person borrow one of my games.

Lol saix is more selfish than salmon. I dont care f people scratch my ames cause they know they will give me some money or buy me a packet of cookies :monster:

When I was younger, I let a friend of mine borrow my gameboy color along with my Pokemon Yellow, Silver, and Tomb Raider games. Needless to say, I never saw them again. (And I had a lv 100 Mewtwo in Yellow...)

Nowadays, if they're going to borrow something, I'll borrow something as well. My FFX was borrowed, so I borrowed GTA:San Andreas. My Dungeon Keeper was borrowed, so I borrowed The Sims. Shtuff like that.

Depends on the reliability of the friend because I've got a few who fall into many different categories when it comes to giving me my shit back. For the most part yeah, most of my friends I'll let borrow a movie or a game.

I have a steadfast rule with my books though; don't lend them out to people from work. I have done so to various coworkers on two occasions. The first guy got fired later that week and I never heard from him again. Hence I never got my book back. That might have sufficed in teaching most people not to lend a book to their coworkers but I did so again to another chick in the backroom with us that I found quite attractive. She ended up quitting shortly afterwards and it was then that I decided that anyone at work I lend a book to is either going to get fired or leave through various other means. And on that note, perhaps there's a few dumb bastards in that store that I should lend a book to because I'd like to see them gone.

Oddly enough, just last month that one chick did manage to get my book back to me like 2 years after she'd borrowed it. Apparently one of the new hires that works with us back there is her cousin and she gave it to him to return to me.

Lol. In all technicality, my copy of FFVII and FFVIII are borrowed. But my friend has never asked for their return and seems to have generally forgotten. And I don't plan on reminding them.

I only trust my close friends to let them borrow my stuff. When I usually let them borrow something and I always get it back. I don't really have an issue with that. I did have a friend who I let her borrow a few things and never gave them back. A year later I went to her house and found something of mine and claimed it was hers. Oh well, I'm not friends with her anyways.

Currently my best friend has Phoenix Wright 1. Erm, I hope she plays it. Another one of my friends has my DDR mat and KH II.

Most of my friends... no. However, a real close friend... maybe, but never a Final Fantasy Title. All I have are my originals in pristine condition as well as greatest hits that I actually instead of the originals.

Anyway, for the most part, no. I tend to be pretty selfish with these sort of things.

Yeah, I actually let a lot of people borrow things. I don't like lending out things to people I really don't know, mostly because I have done it and my stuff just doesn't seem to come back. But I have no problem lending my friends things, like I even let my best friend borrow my computer on some weekends.

I do to certain friends who return items when I want them back. Other friends just put things in a cupboard and forget about the item burrowed, so these friends I dont lend anything to.

Yes. Too often. If people ask, I often lend things to them. From time to time I'll let them keep something like a DVD if I no longer like it anyway. But also, from time to time, I won't get things back. Yet I continue to lend people things...

Here's a list of the things I haven't had back:
Pokemon Leaf Green (my friend lost it T_T)
The Simpsons: Kiss and Tell (stolen)
Friends Season 8 (stolen)

Yes, an old friend of mine decided to steal a few things of mine. ^_^ Nice!

It also took one friend a couple of years to give back a few books I lent her. Haha.

I need to ask Rose about my animes actually. Those aren't stolen but she's forgotten to bring them back to school for me. Haha.
