Sir Rusty
who fights with a FORK?
IX definitely
while not the first FF i have played. something about the characters keeps me going back to replay it more than any of the others i really just love the ability systems, a great change from the equally awesome if not a bit more complex junction system, and i liked the return to a more fixed job type class than the ability to make any character do anything (materia and junction) anyways it is a favorite of mine i will be replaying shortly.
Oh plus where else are you going to have a no gender specified blue mage that eats everything that fights with a FORK?

). They all have great stories (especially XII), and great characters to support them.
but I liked how it kept the game fresh and not boring. It was also a pretty long game..which I liked. The final boss was like amazing...which made me even more fond of the story. Love love love IV. I will never tire of it.
