A new thread to hopefully keep me going with this. I recently started back up again with graphics. I'll start this post off with a few newer pieces. I used to use a free editing program, but currently have Photoshop CS2. On some occasions I use both.

C&C welcome.

Really like how clean the images look, kind of makes me want to start up again with the all PS thing again too. Especially love the first sig there even if I did kind of have to strain to see the smaller text.

Haha Ari you got some talent girl! :awesome: I think your avatars and your siggys that you've done are fantastic :D they have a nice edge to them and look very appealing =] Keep up the work! you can only get better ^^
Though as said above, your text in your sig below Freedom is hard to read and it blends in with the background. But other then that, I say nicely done!!

These are my favourite avatars of the ones you posted. =D

They're so pretty and vibrant! I love the sharpness of them and how bright and in your face they are.

The simplicity of them is another thing I love about them. Very clean cut.

I voted for this one in SOTW.

Such a gorgeous signature.

The image represents the theme well and I love the cool blues and icey whites. The tinge of red down the bottom adds a nice touch to it and helps keep it from looking too monotone.

I love the fonts you used, especially on 'Freedom'. So pretty. >.<

Keep up the great work!

Similar to Kandy, my favourite out of your avatars are these - and seeing as though I adore Serah, I love the one above as well. They're simply cute to look at, simple, but very effective as well!

Your Vanille ones are no doubt the best ones. They're bright and colourful without spoiling the avatar itself. They are sharp and are stock choices to use! ^_^

Other than the really tiny and faint "transient princess" text, I can't really fault this sig. The woman works really well against the gentle blue background and it really does represent the theme of freedom extremely well!

I love the Elly one as well. Quite simply - it's simple but beautiful at the same time!

Omg! You're like... Great with your use of text! I love it! :D

The signatures are a bit BRIGHT, for MY likings xD But they definitely work, and the text looks gorgeous. <3

I used the same Monty pic in a sig, btw. xD

Those are definitely my favourite icons. They're simple and vibrant. ^^ Keep it up.

Just a few new things. I haven't really been doing much lately. =/

Yeah, I know. The text. I hate it too... I just absolutely could not find a place to put it and the colors kept blending into Yuna's clothing.

Well, someone's very good with bright and light colors. x3
I really do think that's one of your strong points, you make it look so good. ♥
Now, onto that Yuna signature. You're right, everything about it is fine but the text. It stands out sore in my eyes and I do think that's one of the signatures that do not need text. I was told (by Kei) that text is not always needed on a signature and I think that Yuna signature might be a good example.
When you're about to apply text to a signature, stop and look at it; think for a moment on whether it really does need text or not. Or make two versions, one with text and one without. ♥

Wow. I can't believe you hate the text; I think it really suits the whole piece. The texture is nice and the simplicity of it is just brilliant. Just one thing: change the outer... glow on the text. I think it'll look better without the red :awesome:

Keep it up Ari <3 :elmo:

I quite like the look of this one.

The black and white theme goes well and and I really like the image you've used. Her hair looks awesome flying out to the left and her eye make up is very cool.

The text is placed well and I like the choice of fonts as well. The smaller writing in the middle looks gorgeous. <3

I think that a black border would have made this stand out a bit more though.

Other than that, keep up the great work!

Wow! Those are amazing icons! I love the lighting and other small effects. Great job :3

You make gorgeous icons, and graphics as a whole, Ariana. =)

I loved the Tifa request icons you made me in your graphic shop, the simplicity was insanely appealing, and you have a nice eye for your placement of stocks.

They make for interesting icons, instead of the focal point right in the middle, centered, and measured out.

Keep up the great work. + Rep for the prettyness. =)

Jaw-dropping gorgeous!

As someone else had pointed out before, vibrancy is definitely one of your strongpoints.

The 'freedom' text here goes very very well with the image used. I find that the subtle use of dots and feathers also work well with the idea of freedom and how it balances the overall image. Now that little red bit on the bottom right of the text was perfect. It really kept the image alive.

I think you used the space in this work wonderfully. I also like how the two-toned-ness isn't stark and extremely contrasting. That makes it very easy on the eyes, haha.

The text is wonderful as well, but I think with the words "still alive," it feels like there should be more vibrancy in the color department. However, the image is wonderful as it is, so maybe choice of text?

Still, overall, it's an amazing piece of work.

Thanks for the lovely comments. ^^

AOTW entry for last week.

It got my vote. =)

I really enjoy the simple look and the warm, yet mysterious colours it seems to have.

The cut is really appearling, and it really has that freedom feel to it without a border. Nicely chosen. =)
