This is of course a poll, and I'm actually suprised this one wasnt posted sooner, basically which Aeon did you find yourself using the most as your trump card to dire situations.

Personally I tend to fall back on Bahamut more often, since hes one of my most trained Aeons (haste to double up turns, doublecast to increase overdrive gauge faster and armor break for increased damage) although he isnt the "best" Aeon in the game, hes always been my saving grace in some of the more difficult boss battles.
 
It was a tie between Bahamut and Shiva, but Shiva was by far cooler in this game. I just loved the way she snapped in her overdrive, and everything blew up in an icey maner... C'mon, that's really freakin' cool.
 
I use Anima almost exclusively once I get her. She's just so...awe-inspiring. I almost cringe with the blows she unleashes when she uses Oblivion...its the very definition of "Overkill"

Before I get her, however, I use Bahamut and Shiva the most. Bahamut tends to be the most powerful, and Shiva is just classy.
 
I abused Yojimbo to no end. I remember reading, the more you used him, the more your invisible FF8 style compatability meter went up and then he would be more likely to use Zanmato for the cost of 1 gil. :D
Basically, I cheated my way through the dark aeons. Many resets later, I'd get Zanmato and yay, Dark Ifrit defeated in how long it takes for the battle to start, summon Yojimbo and watch him get Zanmato'd. :D

On my ... gosh, I don't even know how many times I've played through, but on my next playthrough I plan not to 'cheat', haha.
 
You can customise almost every Aeon's movepool so it really just comes down to elemental resistance, overdrives and, in the magus sister's case, coverage.

Anima hands down. Yojimbo's a bit cheap, the magus sister's are rather random and Anima's overdrive destroys. Bahamut a close second but still outclassed by Oblivion.
 
The Magus Sisters for me. I don't use Aeons much until I get them, but I use them all the time. I'm really lucky with them, 9/10 they'll attack or do something useful, even if it does feel like overkill, since they're insanely powerful xD
 
Bahamut, definetly. He was the easiest, high dealing Aeon to get (story mode summon, ftw). He dealt high damage with his overdrive and lasted long during battles. A close second would be Shiva. I didnt get the secret summons, so my decision may change if I ever DO get them. I though Valefor was actually quite good, as he beat an enemy Bahamut by himself.
 
Magus sisters always pulled through for me in the clinch. It's like summoning a party that is really really strong. They have saved me dozens of times in the final dungeon
 
Honestly, i would use Bahamut the most. Even when i got all of them, that big over-sized bird was the one i always used, despite me having Anima xD. Like his overdrive=epic win, well at least to me that is :wacky:
 
I tend to use either Anima or the Magus sisters, it depends what kinda mood im in.

Most of the time is Anima as she is immensely powerful, with a great skill set (Pain FTW) and her overdrive is just immense (Y'all know what im saying)

The magus sisters are again a good set of Aeons, i love how there is 3 of them and they can ressurect each other, also their Overdrive isn't to sore on the eyes.
 
I mostly used Bahamut and Anima, but if I think about it... I'm pretty sure I used Bahamut more often. Bahamut had pulse (?) which could hit multiple enemies and I don't even know how many times I used that. When you first got him, his health was the highest out of the aeons, so his overdrive would fill up extremely fast because when an enemy hit him it would do little damage, but it would still charge his overdrive. And we all know how good his overdrive is.

As for using Anima, it kind of felt like a waste because if you used the overdrive it was overkill, but if you used pain, it left the enemy with a bit of health left and then the enemy would get a shot at Anima and lower her health.

I have to give the Magus Sisters some credit though, they helped me a lot through the Omega Ruins. I love how they can help each other out, and their overdrive is extremely powerful.
 
I think you should have made a "I love every Aeon equally" choice...course there are people who can't decide because they love every Aeon like i do :D they each have their own likabelities and i use them equally
 
To be honest, I allways use Yojimbo because of his zanmato.

Plus his 'relationship lvl' factor it can make it easy to defeat the dark aeons if you've not trained up too much.

Plus (although I havn't tried this) I'm pretty sure that you can defeat him with zanmato too. Although he is expensive if you've got a bag relationship with him.
 
I use all of them, but the one i use the most is Bahamut, he just really came in handy at times when i did not have the most powerful Aeons in the game, Anima, Magus Sisters and Yojimbo.

Even after obtaining the other Aeons, i kept using Bahamut...it's probably because of the great intro he as and how overall his attacks are pretty amazing. The way he just stands there proud and tall:)

Anyway i use him the most by far.

Others i like to use a lot are: Anima, Yojimbo and Shiva.
 
Currently I don't have (and I won't bother restarting the game to get it) Anima. I do have the Magus Sisters, but I just hate the looks of them because I have an irrational dislike of insects.

I have no cash for Yojimbo, so Bahamut ends up being my most used Aeon.

Out of the five Aeons received through the storyline, Bahamut is the strongest and the most intimidating. I love his design and he is a staple FF summon I love to continuous use due to his sheer power alone.

I would say I used the Magus Sisters and Shiva the most in this game.

Shiva was just super cool in this game. The way she arrived and just her overdrive always made me happy. She was quick and nimble.

As for the Sisters they were used for brute strength. 3 Aeons at once and with high strength. I was all good when I was stuck in a rut. If one died I still had 2 more aeons although I could not use their overdrive then, that was the only bad part about those 3. That and sometimes they get lazy and do not attack....bastards,
 
I usually use Shiva's overdrive as my trump card (I never use my overdrives until boss battles > >) and I'd summon her using Yuna's overdrive so that she can use her overdrive twice in a row. I love beating up bosses with all my aeons attacking with their overdrives. ^^
