[Actual RP] Split Planet

Stephen and the Zero flipped and dodged as much as he could, but there were alot of Leo's shooting at him, "damnit" Stephen muttered as he fired off more rounds from the Buster cannon, taking out a couple of the Leo's arms and heads. the Tallgeese fired a round and blew away one of the Leo's "what's he doing" Stephen muttered before a voice came over the universal channel "LEAVE THAT BASTARD TO ME, GO AFTER THEIR FLEET!!!!" it was the Tallgeese pilot.

Taking aim with the buster cannon Stephen fired more shots off, but after three, that were easily dodged by the Tallgeese it was out of Ammo "shit" Stephen muttered as he discarded the buster cannon, throwing it towards the Bahamut, pulling out the beam sabre the Zero blasted towards the Tallgeese that fired rounds from it's shoulder mounted beam cannon, Dodged, the Zero got in range and swung his beam sabre in an Arc taking down the barrel of the Cannon and rendering it useless, the Tallgeese then drew it's own beam Sabre and began CQC with the Zero.

while this was going on, the Leo's began their assault on the Bahamut, with the Heavy arms firing from distance, that was closing as the heavy arms was now off the enemy sleet and floating through space.

((OOC: oh yea, guys, i must say the Heavy arms is another Elite suit, and thus wont be easy to destroy, or even get close to, as it's pilot is as skilled as us.))

Tomoe Fei

Weightlessness had quite a good feel to it. Tomoe felt rather giddy and kind of wierd while she floated around, trying to do slow mid air spins. However, the sortie alarm went off and instantly, Tomoe kicked off the closest wall and shot out the door. It was difficult in zero G, but Tomoe wanted to get to the hangar ASAP. She didn't know why, but despite her best efforts to get to meeting points on time, even early, she always end up being last regardless. The moving railings allowed her to zoom across corridors and within a minute, she got to the locker room. All suited up in her white space suit, Tomoe made for a mad dash to her suit when a small figure floated in between.

Stop right there Tomoe.

Urk!

Despite being a good deal taller than her, Tomoe listened and stopped right in front of Hitomi Hitoyoshi.

Uh... whats up Aunt? ouch!

Its professor. And in your case, you cant sortie yet. Your carelessness has caused several seal leaks within areas that need to be repaired and we haven't the necessary time so you will be grounded. It shouldn't take any longer, but i doubt you can sortie in time to help your friends when its fixed. Its probably over by then, buy who knows.

Urk.... oh alright... ill wait in the stand by room.

Tomoe knew she couldnt rebute her aunt. She had been rough with Unicorn in the pacific conflicts and that in space, leaks in seals are deadly. The only thing she could do now was sit quietly with the other crew members, staring at the big screen as the battle unfold in front of her.

"To all Elite members..." The communcations officers said aboard the Bahamut, "...enemy Gundam approaching, it's the Heavyarms!!!"

The Heavyarms, a Heavyweight unit not unlike Sandrock, was the American Republic's sole Gundam, despite the capabilities of the Tallgeese. Led by the top American Ace Pilot, Heavyarms, unlike Sandrock, was designed around the epitome of the American Republic's chief military doctrine for the past 100 years, dating back to the Cold War era, the use of Superior Firepower to overwhelm a large enough force and force them to retreat.

Putting a direct communique to Cabal and Lelouch, she said, "Cabal, you're the only suit fast enough and maneuverable to take on Heavyarms with a chance of winning. Lelouch, help me cover Cabal as he moves in."

Sandrock used the external boosters to boost it's way further off from the Bahamut. It's AA cover would be enough to hold its own, but in the event of attack, she'll use the Beam Carbine to blast away Leos that came close or flew by. Even with the Sandrock's Armor, the Heavyarm's Gatling Gun would reduce the Gundam to shreds with but 10 seconds of continuous fire, and even fewer for Requiem and Firebird. They'll have to tread lightly if they were to win.

Lelouch hated to admit it but Cabal was the faster of the suits

Lelouch:Roger,But I'll hang back I can get a surprise attack on him if i stay put and dont charge in..And Cabal you better not get killed!

Lelouch stay's put and aim's with the long rifle for now,he tries to keep Heavyarm's in his sight's and starts to calculate where it will move next hoping to get a shot that at least hit's it's arm or something of Value

Stephen glanced back over his shoulder to the Heavyarms and Leo's moving towards the Bahamut "damnit" he muttered as he dodged another incoming beam sabre swing from the Tallgeese "i wish i had time to give them time to learn to pilot in space" he muttered as he fought back against the enemy Ace pilot.

with the battle raging, Stephen knew he was at a disadvantage against the Tallgeese as it was a suit designed for space, whereas the Zero was primarily an atmospheric suit "come on old friend" Stephen muttered as he fought off the Tallgeese, he managed to duck under a swing and take off the legs of the Tallgeese and a second swing removed the Head.

Stephen then spun the Zero and headed back towards the hordes of Leo's that were Bahamut Bound, he noticed a Squad of Five break off from the group and head towards him, they must have discovered that the Tallgeese had been immobilized, the Zero gripped the handle of It's beam Sabre and headed straight for them.
 
Tomoe Fei

Leashed and Subsequent Freedom

Tomoe was pacing. She had not been able to sit still since her friends had launched out and it has been a short while since her Aunt benched her. While she continued to make circles, Tomoe periodically walked in front of the TV, but many of the crew members shut up about it. Only once had they seen the optimistic Tomoe fly off the handle and it wasn't nice for the guy that was on the receiving end. In fact, the tension seemed to ahve been raised a notch ever since she had entered the room and some guiltily harboured the thought of when she would leave.

Beep beep. Beep beep.

Hello? Is that you Aun.... Professor?

Uh, no. Its Stevenson. We have sealed the Unicorn sufficiently to allow you to fight whilst on the deck of the Bahamut, but that is all. If you attempt to fly at any great speed, well, then we cant guarantee you'll come back in one piece.... and not due to enemy fire either.

Alright. Good enough. Pack her with extra magazines and the magnum.

Within two minutes, Unicorn was walking towards the hatch elevator that is taking her to the deck. As if expecting her to disobey, Tomoe's Aunt went ahead and removed a piece from her booster pack so that she is completely grounded. A horde of Leo's were incoming, but luckily, they were tightly packed. A well place first shot should take out a fair few. The magnum levelled straight at the middle of the group before Tomoe shifted her aim to the left. That way, the left side would scatter but the right side would still be congregated enough to perhaps get another shot off.

Target.....locked. Utte (Fire)!

The beam lanced out hitting one of the leos square on the chest whilst chipping at the few besides it in its wing. Three suits including the middle one erupted into flames with the explosion damaging the few next to it. Racing as fast as she could, Tomoe levelled the gun to the right and squeezed off a round, but only caught one and damaged a second.

Well.... four is destroyed and a few damaged isnt so bad...

Sitting on the ship made her a big target, particularly since she was white and the ship was black. Tomoe decided to break up the flights of Leos so that the ship's defences could deal more easily with them... and protect her from them getting too close to her. Her gatling guns were good and all, but without maneuverability, she was only slightly more better than a sitting duck, albeit a sitting duck with a .50 cal who just so happens to know how to use it.

Cabel Masters

Cabel had launched and found that flying in space was...well... not as easy as he thought it would be. His suit felt lighter, even the tiniest touch of the accelerator was too much so while the others were fighting he found he was struggling to keep the Firebird going in a straight line.

"Tch...this is embarrassing..." He muttered to himself, as he turned his boosters on to stable himself. Finally he got the hang of it, and it seemed just in time too as he was needed by his team mates.

"Cabel, you're the only suit fast enough and maneuverable to take on Heavyarms with a chance of winning. Lelouch, help me cover Cabel as he moves in." Came Cecille's voice through the intercom.

"Roger that." He said cooly as he flew his ship past the sandrock and the Requiem.

"Roger, But I'll hang back I can get a surprise attack on him if i stay put and dont charge in..And Cabal you better not get killed!" Lelouch added. Cabel just smiled to himself, people always said that to him... don't get killed... he supposed he didn't blame them for saying that to him... he was reckless a lot of the time.

"Yeah, Yeah, I'll be fine, look after yourself" Cabel's words were unusually kind.

He then rushed the firebird in, Flame boosters going at full power. He dodged past a few bullets fired by the enemy Leo's. He knew going up against the Heavyarms was going to be tough, he couldn't afford one hit from that thing and would have to evade as well as possible.

The Heavyarms spotted Cabel soaring towards him and sent out a few shots at him. Cabel managed to roll his Firebird to the right and miss them but his sneak attack was blown.

"Damn it... ok plan B..." He said, his suit dropping a cluster bomb into it's hand. He had the Firebird throw it, hitting the Heavyarms straight on. The Machine was stunned but wouldn't be for long, these things only worked on a machine of this size for about 10 seconds.

"Yes!" He cheered. "Quick guys, fire at it before it comes to!!!!" He shouted through the intercom as he sent off his shoulder mounted missiles. Four of the Six hitting he enemy.

Lelouch See's Cabal rush toward's Heavyarm's after saying that,He was Keeping up with Heavyarm's Movement's quite easily,Lelouch manages to get Heavyarm's in his sight's After Cabal Stun's him

"Quick guys, fire at it before it comes to!!!!"

Lelouch:Roger! Targeted and Firing!

Take's 2 second's to refine his aim and fire's the 1st round of his Heavy Beam Rifle the Large Particle Beam Zoom's Past Sandrock and Cabal,but at the last second Heavyarm move's but the beam still connect's Blowing off it's Right Arm and Damaging it's Right Leg

Lelouch: Damn... I didn't get a killing shot on him.. Sorry.. But his suit is Damaged if we ever have a chance to win against him its now!!

"Quick guys, fire at it before it comes to!!!!"

Cabel's firebird had engaged Heavy Arms further off the battle zone and had called in the other Elites to help suppress and, if possible, eliminate it. Tomoe tossed away the spent magazine and slipped a fresh one into the magnum, tracking Lelouch's attack on the Heavy Arms. As much as she did not like to admit it, the pilot was damn good. Even stunned from Cabel's EMP grenade, it still managed to dodge the beam in the last second, only losing an arm and partial use of a leg.

Damn... I didn't get a killing shot on him.. Sorry.. But his suit is Damaged if we ever have a chance to win against him its now!!

Using Unicorn's scanners, the incoming leos had dispersed rather than attempting head on charges into the bristle of CIWS, keeping to the edges and looking for windows to swoop in. Tomoe took a single chance to take a pot shot at the Heavy Arms. Her target was a fair distance away and with maximum magnification, her target was still pretty small. That, and her aim was going to pass by Cabel and Lelouch relatively close.

Alrighty.... steady..... fire! Yo, Lelouch, Cabel dont move!


Like in all battlefields, things dont go the way they are planned to. A lone Leo clipped the edge of her beam, killing itself. However, that disrupted the shot enough that its power was reduced and gave Heavy Arms enough time to weave right and clipping its left leg. The particle beam chewed through half of its shin and its foot, but didnt do what Tomoe wanted, to hit it at the very least at the waist joint.

Damnit! Someone get it before it runs!

That was it for Tomoe as the Leos restarted its assault.

As Stephen charged through the battle field he cut down the Leo's that had broke of to attack him, as he moved rapidly three flares went off behind him calling for the retreat of the enemy units, "guys, their retreating" Stephen announced as the Zero flipped his beam sabre so he was holding it back hand, it was at this point the heavyarm's sun to retreat, and Stephen struck, Taking off it's legs half way down the thigh with one motion of his beam Sabre.

Stephen then spun around an floated into line with the others, beam Sabre turning off and getting slotted back into it's place the buster cannon already back on he Bahamut. "lets head back guys" Stephen announced smiling as the Zero drifted back towards the Bahamut before spinning and entering the hangar bay, sliding the Zero into it's Spot Stephen disengaged all the systems and disembarked from the Zero and stood on the floor to watch the others come in.
 
OOC: Apologies for the short post

IC: The firefight was wavering down as Cecilie continued firing shots at the retreating Leos. With the situation getting better, it appeared that the enemy was in retreat. Not bad for a unit that was largely confined to within Visual Range of the Bahamut.

As long as the Americans retreated, it did not matter, and when Stephen heard the request to RTB, Cecilie complied, "Understood, Heading back." Sandrock activated its external boosters and began drifting back to the Bahamut. The whole mission was not a good experience, not being used to space combat and her suit not designed for combat in such an area.

Entering the Bahamut and maneuvering the Sandrock to its slot, Cecilie kept her helmet on as she left the Gundam, waiting for the others to come. It was certain the Admiral would want to talk to them after this.
 
Cabel Masters

"Guys, their retreating" Came Stephen's voice over the intercom.

The American's had given up and were leaving the battle scene. Cabel thought it went rather well. He made it look like he was on the Australian side and managed to keep one of America's top fighters alive. Although the others would see this as unsuccessful, Cabel thought otherwise.

"lets head back guys"

He turned his suit around and followed Cecilie towards the bahamut, landing the firebird neatly on deck and walking it towards its place in the hanger. He then used the zipline to get out.

He walked towards Stephen and Cecilie and smiled, removing his helmet, shaggy brown hair falling around his face, it looked like bed hair.

"Well I think that went rather well, don't you?" He said to the two next to him, just making idle chit-chat while waiting for the others.

"Our first fight in space wasn't so bad." His voice sounding quite American as he spoke.

Late to the line once more.

Certain that this time, she would be the first to arrive, Tomoe sat impatiently as she waited for the deck elevator to retrieve Unicorn. Her foot tapped out a pattern on the floor of the cockpit and her head began to fume to the point of expelling steam (figuratively of course). The tech boys have seemed to be putting off her lift in order to transfer some non essentials between levels. It took seven excruciating and infuriating minutes before the lift door opened and allowed Tomoe to maneuver Unicorn in.

Please let me still be early. Please let me still be early.....

DING!

The lift halted and brought Unicorn back into the hangar and much to Tomoe's disappointment, the lift had held her up enough to make her fourth amongst the five members of the squad. At the very least, Tomoe took solace in that she beat Lelouch back. As revenge for the lift incident, Tomoe left Unicorn for the techies to take back to its scaffold and strolled, helmet in one hand, back to her comrades.

Ugh. This suit and helmet is a bother...

As Tomoe muttered to her friends, she was glad that they had survived their first encounter in zero gee.


"Well I think that went rather well, don't you? Our first fight in space wasn't so bad."

I was stuck on the damn deck because of potential leaks. Apparently, i was too rough with Unicorn in PNG and the Kiwi islands.

With a few more jerky tugs and pull, Tomoe finally managed to slip off her helmet and untagle her trademark long hair from the inside.

God... im going to hate space if i have to keep wearing this....

Lelouch see's a Flare go off in the distance and See's the Leo's and Heavyarm's retreat

"Guys, their retreating"

Lelouch Lowered the Heavy Beam Rifle down and checked the status of the system,seeing that everything is ok for the most part he sighed in relief that he finally took no damage in a battle

"lets head back guys"

Lelouch: Roger Heading back to the Bahamut...

Lelouch started to slowly thrust towards the Bahamut,Thinking how annoying it was that this gun reduces his movement so much,He finally makes it to the hangar within 10 mins and see's the Hanger bay close behind him,He power's down Requiem and rides the zipline down

Lelouch:Well least I didn't get damaged during that battle though I missed out on the fun..

He see's tomoe take a lift up to the top and decides to follow her,he pushes the button and waits for it to return to the Hanger Floor

Lelouch:Seem's like I'm the last one..

The lift stops and the door's open,he pushes the top floor and it slowly proceed's taking 7 mins to reach the top,once it stops he steps out and removes his helmet.

Lelouch:Well we survived our first battle in space.. Hell we even managed to Damage Heavyarm's and forced a Retreat!
 
Stephen looked over the other pilots as they arrived and removed their helmets, his was floating next to him in the Zero Gravity, everyone was talking about how they survived their first space mission causing Stephen to get rather annoyed. "yea, congrats, your all ace pilots and space combat is combat non the less, so it was expected of you to survive, it was also expected of you to support the Bahamut and not just each other, yea sure, you stopped the bahamut getting destroyed, but the ship took alot of damage." Stephen announced,

"you guys have to get used to no grav, and space combat," Stephen spoke as he looked to the floor "next time we might not be so lucky, and as for the legs of Heavyarms, i took them off hopefully to prevent him launching during their next assault, Our next destination is the Lunar base where it is said that the latest suits are being developed, we are to deploy there and defend the base." Stephen informed the crew, "we will be there in 4 hours, get some rest and be ready to Launch at any time" Stephen informed them before heading towards the Exit, Glancing back over his shoulder when he got to the door "DISMISSED" he shouted back before he made his way back to his room.
 
Cabel Masters

Cabel felt his blood boil. How dare that snot nosed little brat talk to him like that. If it wasn't for them the ship would have attained more damage than what it did.

After Stephen dismissed them Cabel found himself shouting out.

"Perhaps next time you should train your pilots before sending us into battle like that. It was like sending blind men to war!! You had your training but we had to go in without!!!" He couldn't believe that guy.

"Screw him" He turned to the others. He didn't care how much of a scene he was making. The Americans were much more professional than this group. He went in with good intentions, to listen to their captain and to do as told but not any more. He would do as he liked, when he liked and he didn't give a damn if the Australians approved or not.

"I'm going to my room..." He turned around and space walked out the other hall way. Blood still rising.

After Hearing what Stephen said and what Cabal said,Lelouch remained silent and left the room silently

Lelouch:I'll be in my Room as well,if you guy's need me feel free to visit...

He walk's out of the room thinking at how cold Stephen was just then,It was "OUR" First battle in space we didn't have any kind of training out in a jungle battle ground,let alone we didn't get much time to rest,we were hurried onto the ship after our trip back and thrown into a battle right off the bat,Lelouch Slam's his fist on the side of the hall door so hard it pushes him to the other wall

Lelouch:I have to become stonger...Strong enough to change this world for the better..

As he walk's into his room he messes with his duffel bag,setting up his room with Blueprint's of Requiem,a Laptop,and some poster's of girl's

Lelouch:Not much difference but least it look's a little better...

He lay's on his bed thinking of what he could do next...

Cecilie shook her head after the three of them left. Stephen's words were silly. Stephen obviously had the training for Zero-G combat, while the rest of the team had little to no experience there. Cecile also had a suit that, while pressurized and sealed, was not designed with Outer-Space Combat in mind.

Taking off her helmet. Cecilie wiped the sweat off her brow. It wouldn't be worth getting angry over stupidity, as it would affect performance in battle. Instead, she turned towards Tomoe. "I wonder what what suits are available when we get to the moon." She said to herself as she watched the repairs being done on the suits.

Did I miss something?

Tomoe's eyes widened in silence and bewilderment. She kept quiet and stood where she was as the three males disbanded in a rather unpleasant atmosphere. It was true that the ship did get a bit scuffed, but with her suit in its current state, Tomoe did the best she could with the limited maneuverability she had whilst on the deck of the Bahamut.

Uh..... did i miss something while you guys were out there Cecilie? What just happened?

The other female pilot had remained behind which was good. It was easier to talk to females rather than males when they were in a bad mood. Like the professional she thought she was, Cecilie seemed unperturbed by the little friciton in the team, instead commenting on the choice of suits that may be available at the Luna Base.

"I wonder what what suits are available when we get to the moon."

Both females were now sort of looking at the mechanics scurrying like ants over the suits, repairing all the little nicks and scratches.

Sigh.... you're a real ice cube you know Cecilie. Nothing affecets you. You are such an ice cube, yknow?

It was an affectionate jibe, but the air had taken Tomoe's optimism down a notch.

Well, i hope at the very least Unicorn can get a proper overhaul. Aunt Hitoyoshi had said Unicorn is a space designated suit, so it should be okay, but i dont have the same flying experience as you guys. Perhaps we might get better armoured suits? There is not much cover up here, so maybe those?

Cecilie never once considered herself to be like an ice cube. But she does bring up a point. Having to put up with people that tends to act hot-headed like Cabel or lose their cool like Lelouch, she tends not to pay much heed to the troubles of those who fought with her outside of battle. Likewise she prefers not to tell others of her own troubles, out of the fact that she would not want to trouble others with her own personal feelings.

Well, i hope at the very least Unicorn can get a proper overhaul. Aunt Hitoyoshi had said Unicorn is a space designated suit, so it should be okay, but i dont have the same flying experience as you guys. Perhaps we might get better armoured suits? There is not much cover up here, so maybe those?

"Perhaps..." Cecilie said, "Sandrock was one of the many Russian-built Gundams not designed for combat in space. So maybe there are mobile suits that are capable of doing so at the base, even if its an inferior model." Cecilie wondered, perhaps at this point, the remainder of the war would be fought in Space, and neither she nor Tomoe had any experience in Space, unlike the two best pilots in the Russian Imperial military, especially him...
