JSTOR is very good for debates, the main problem I find with it is that, certainly with my course, is that to get the good articles you have to be very specific with what you're looking for otherwise you get the shite articles -.-
I wouldn't dismiss it, if they ignore the same argument over and over again it tends to mean it contradicts their own opinion and they have nothing they can use to argue against the argument they're ignoring. Either that or they agree so you'd 'win' that part of the argument anyway

We don't really study actual debating until next year. We've done mock trial scenarios but nothing that required any particular research on great debaters, more just going to court and watching real trials All the debates we have to research for any essays are all in JSTOR which we can only access through the university
