The Story Behind The Song.

[Kris Kristofferson]Hello I'm Kris Kristofferson,On November 8th, 1965,The 173rd airborn brigade,On operation Hump,In war zone "D" in Vietnam,Were ambushed by over 1200 VC.48 American soldiers lost their lives that day.Severely wounded and risking his own life,Lawrence Joel, a medic,Was the first living black man,Since the Spanish-American war,To receive the United States Medal of Honor,From saving so many lives in the mists of battle that day.Our friend Niles Harris retired 25 years, United States Army,The guy who gave Big Kenny his top hat,Was one of the wounded who lived. This song is his story.Caught in the action of kill or be killed.Greater love hath no man,Then to lay down his life for a friend.

Fucked Up! - Son the Father

There is something about this song which I find really catchy. I like the intro and main riff even though it's not particularly unique. I also like the line "It's hard enough being born in the first place, who would ever want to be born again?" which is kind of self explanatory.

Live to Kill - Silverstein'

Well for one, this song is just simply amazing. I love how it begins with Shane doing the screams, and then the instruments pick up. That aside, the lyrics are fantastic. My favorite line of the entire song is ""we live to kill each other, we are the wealthy and the poor" that right there pretty much sells the song for me. :ryan:

10/10

The Ballad of Mona Lisa - Panic! at the Disco

I love this song, I love this band, the way they sing about politics and basically anything is so refreshing from your day to day love songs and all that, Ballad of Mona Lisa is just another great example for this fact. The Video is also nothing less than greatness from Panic!

Definitely a 10/10

Matchbox Twenty - Unwell

This is one of my favorite songs about depression. The music video is a little awkward though, I don't really like it. It's also the only song I know of that uses a banjo in rock :wacky:

Tori Amos - Crucify

Its from her darker stuff, but its some of her best I have to say. She had a lot of struggle thats probably why I love her music and ideas so much, this song is just another one of her stories.

Definitely one of the best of her songs.

Britney Spears - Inside Out

It's a good song. Dancey but good. Definitely not filler.

I quite enjoy the break down near the end.

Eve of Seduction - Symphony X

I don't go much on their earlier works, but Paradise Lost is an epic album, and this is my favourite song from it. A nice buildup, amazing vocals, and I absolutely love the chorus. Slightly heavier than what I usually listen to, but quite emotional as well, in a weird way. xD

Hear Me Now - Hollywood Undead

The first song I heard off of their new album, and I must say it is quite good. The lyrics are quite dark, but it is Hollywood Undead, after all. While on the topic of the lyrics, let me take a second and say that the lyrics are powerful, moving, and more than anything, meaningful. The light elements of techno in this song is great. It's not too much, but not too little, either. I just love this song. end of period.

9.1/10

Jade Valerie - Unbreakable (Moonlight Sonata)

I love this song..

The chorus is so epic with the screaming and the effects. And I love the concept of the song.

Levitate - Hollywood Undead

Another song off of their "American Tragedy" album, this song has song of the same elements from "Hear me Now", but it has a more electro-techno-eey, rockage kind of feel, and that is what makes it awesome in my opinion. Lyrics are awesome. I don't know what more i can say. :andry:

10/10

Blow (Circuit Remix) - Ke$ha

Very good remix. I like it quite a bit better the original version even. It's much more dancey and has a better beat. It's also more of an assault on your ears, and would be awesome to dance to at a club.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time - <Song of Storms Marimba Arrangement>

Of sorts anyway.

I didn't search this song out intentionally. If I recall, it was an almost unrelated suggestion to a video that I was watching... But I suppose I got lucky. I'm not sure if the song itself does allude to a storm and all, but it's definitely catchy and bouncy.

The type to bob your head to. Good enough, I guess.

Tool - The Grudge

I really like the opening riff and vocals, they have a nice rhythm to them. The rhythm has a good feel to it like it's bouncing back and forth. The song builds up nicely towards the end. One of my favorite songs off Lateralus.

Real Emotion - Sweetbox

Aw the song that got me started on Jade. I still remember when I first played FFX-2 and heard this song and wanted it so bad. And I could find was the shitty Kumi Koda version. :rage:

Jeff Bennett's Lounge Experience - Dreams

I just love this kind of music! Its very chilling (as it "chilling out"), relaxing, hypnotic, funky, awesome, lyrically beautiful without having lyrics (I know, impossible right? lol) and always have the coolest background music that blends well with the small amounts of vocals.

I how this song plays -- easy, yet there is some hardness to it, if you know what I mean? I could picture myself listening to the song, sitting on my porch looking out toward a vast open field or forest, sipping some cold, delicious iced-tea, content and relaxed.

I think is my favorite song out of them all, so far. I've listened to a lot, but I'm sure there are more out there for me to listen to! Its a shame the only way I can listen to this music first is through TV music channel. I'm not even sure what this type of music is called -- techno? Funk?

*You guys should give it a change! :33*

10/10

Paint A Vulgar Picture - The Smiths

My favourite Smiths' song at the moment. It's a fairly typical smiths' song in as much as, it sounds like a pop song about something irrelevant. But it's about a dead star and a record label making money from his dead. The exploitation and the willingness to be exploited.

Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez Lopez - Cryptomnesia

This song features the two core members of the Mars Volta, so as you'd expect it is a chaotic mess. The drums are pretty erratic and the guitar work is all over the place but the whole song fits together nicely I think.
