[CX] The Facility

I beat Tomb Raider Underworld not to long ago and I had that game for an age. I was stuck in the 4th level for awjile. Also after a year I noticed that the level was glitched and I just had to reload my dave. Frickin fail XD. Good game though.

Yeah I read somewhere there was a glitch on it, although I *think* my copy's fine.
To be honest, I can't remember where I got up to :hmmm:

Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting ME2 as well and experience the storyline. I absolutely loved the original Mass Effect so I'm hoping the joy continues in this one.

Wtf is a "dave"? :wacky:

I can't remember encountering any glitches, but if I did they were fail glitches because I can't remember encountering them. :griin:

Oh my goodness gracious me. I meant save :hmph:! Also it is glitche din every game Charlotte xD. Right after you pick up something in southern mexico. I think it is a headress.. and if you die you cant go through EVER unless you reload your save which I figured out after a year. Jay get Mass Effect II. It is FRICKIN AMAZING :ryan:

Well :wacky: whatever the glitch was, it's fine on mine. I read it was only on certain versions, mind :wacky:

Is there anyone else here whos unable to play hanoi at all?
That map will not load for me, even in combat training ¬¬

And tomb raider underworld is a terrible game :gasp2: i stomached all of about 15 minutes and turned off.

...no :mokken: tomb raider is ace.

And I'm actually having problems with Jungle Lew, that freezes for me about 90% of the time now :gonk: annoyin as well, I love that map

I liked the original tomb raiders for the ps1, though I never finished them they were great fun.
I played uncharted before i played tomb raider underworld and the differnce between the 2 is massive. Their similar games but tomb raider cant hold an candle to UC.

eh i guess youre right with the old tomb raiders. I never finished any of the games for the ps1, they were far too hard, but also amazing :ryan:

I only ever played demos of the original Tomb Raiders (apart from the Anniversary remake). I thought that they were really good, but they were very, very difficult for me at the time. In comparison UC walks you through a lot of the game and doesn't require you to work things out much, but on the other hand the gameplay, storyline and characters of the Uncharted series are far superior for me.

If the next Uncharted game had trickier puzzles then that'll be perfect, and the best of both. I'm going to regret saying that if they give us an impossible puzzle though. :gonk:

The gameplay on the earlier tomb raiders is fantastic, and they take hours. UC1 and 2 had better storylines I think, but the gameplay value on the old tomb raiders were better. The 2 tomb raiders i bought for ps2, legend and angel of darkness, were rubbish though.

This is making me want to dig all my old tomb raiders out and play them :gonk:

They're releasing a Tomb Raider trilogy with Underworld, Anniversary and some other title in it. Crystal Dynamics are supposedly rebooting the series as well. I can't really say I ever "got into" Tomb Raider though :(

I can't really say I ever "got into" Tomb Raider though :(

But many, many men have dreamed. :kinky:

Tomb Raider was good for relics which were difficult to get, and for large open maps with tricky puzzles. I didn't like the combat mechanics though. I could never aim properly. Every time I came across a raptor, or a wolf, or a goddamn gorilla (in Greece?) I would freak out, not because I was scared so much of the creature, but because I knew that I'd struggle with the controls in trying to either run, dodge or shoot the thing.

Combat in Uncharted is much more user-friendly, I think.

I think Tomb Raider takes alot more patience than Uncharted to be honest. Also the Tomb Raider puzzles sometimes take awhile and are harder than the UC ones. Also Legend was a great Tomb Raider game. Maybe on Ps2 it sucked. Angel of darkness is downright horrible though.

I didn't even try to beat them. I would get stuck in the first 5 minutes of a level and just looked online for a level skip cheat.

I remember I skipped enough levels that I started in a desert and got bitten by a snake. :rage: Or something like that.

Haha :wacky:

My favourites were the ones that didn't have 'levels' as such. 4 and 5 for the PS1 was basically just one level with different places that you went to one after the other. You couldn't go into the menu and select a level to play, you'd play the whole game or nothing :lew:

I preferred it like that, dunno why :8F:
My favourite is actually The Last Revelation, still got that on disc somewhere :ohoho: At least I think it's that one, the one where the whole thing's set in Egypt :hmmm:

Demos were amazing back then. Youd buy a magazine and get your demo with it which was so awesome as you could play small parts of all the games, except the naff ones which were preview only. I remember there always being games i desperately wanted but would never get :(

Good day everyone. Just letting everyone know I joined CX /intro

On the current topic, I haven't really played much of the Tomb Raider series. I've played a small amount of one of the earlier ones...I think it was Tomb Raider 2. I never did get around to actually buying it however maybe I'll check out the PSN version one day.
