Dark Matter - Rusty Cooley

Rusty Cooley was the lead guitarist from the band Outworld back in the mid-2000s. After the band's break up, Rusty became a solo artist producing instrumental pieces. He is known to be an extremely fast guitar player and was inspired by several guitarist of the 80s and 90s including Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Angelo Batio.

Chasm - Flyleaf

This is Jess' fault. She told me to listen to Flyleaf yesterday and now I can't stop listening to this song! :rage:
...its probably my favourite by them at the moment. The vocals are quite enchanting...not to mention the accompanying video is pretty awesome. I love the animation style ♥

Tool - Schism

As a little teenager I could not respect these lyrics only enjoy the actual music from it, but now the lyrics all seem so real. Without communication we are all destined for failure. Strengthening communication is how we keep our relationships with friends and lovers..

"There was a time that the pieces fit, but I watched them fall away
Mildewed and smoldering, strangled by our coveting
I've done the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing
Doomed to crumble unless we grow, and strengthen our communication
Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion"

A New Saga Begins - Rhapsody of Fire

I love this song. Its only a remixed version of The Mystic Prophecy Of The Demon Knight, but I can't honestly say I'm overly keen on that track, with the exception of the first bit...this bit. xD
Like many Rhapsody songs, its got a nice simple beat and is horrendously catchy...

The Beastie Boys- Paul Revere

10/10...Ohh man, I love this song! These guys can rap for dayssss. I like a lot of their songs, but this is one of my favorites. Every time I hear this on the radio I have to turn it up, the beat is alright but the lyrics are what get me.

Broken Bells - The High Road [click to listen]

It was about a month ago that I was scrolling through songs I've never heard of when I found this one. Today I had just thought about it once, and I'm still listening to it as I type this, and I had started a couple hours ago. You'd think I'd be tired of it by now, but I put more concentration on the work I was doing than the song, so its easy to listen to it without wearing it out. It is a pretty calm song to listen to in the alternative category, and Broken Bells does have a couple of other good songs, but out of all of them, this is my favorite song .

I can't honestly say I'm overly keen on that track, with the exception of the first bit...this bit. xD

But of course you can't understand the full track's intricacies without an understanding of...Black Geometry.

(Okay, honestly I still giggle every time that's mentioned.)

Epicus Furor/Emerald Sword - Rhapsody of Fire

I like how a lot of their recent stuff is more...symphonic/ballad like, but every now and then I just have to go back and listen to their older albums for some faster songs. Still love it.

Chasm - Flyleaf

This is Jess' fault. She told me to listen to Flyleaf yesterday and now I can't stop listening to this song! :rage:

Another one addicted <333

The Harold Song - Ke$ha

Say what you want about Ke$ha and fans of her, but I think this song is gorgeous.

Most of hers are just about... drinking. And kissing and fucking and shit like that. This one's definitely not. It's a love song, but it's so surprising coming from her. It's catchy too, which means I walk around all day singing it in my head, but that's okay because it's a nice catchy.

No matter what anyone says about Ke$ha, I love this song and several others of hers. :lew:

I would give it all to not be sleeping alone. ♫ :sad3:

Simple Plan-Crazy

Well, I've always been a HUGE fan of Simple Plan but, this song takes the fucking cake.

This song has meaning behind it. Not saying all songs don't but, most songs is about sex or some other love bullshit.

This song is about society as a whole and what needs to change. It's such a powerful and deep song if you listen to it, you can see what they're trying to say to the world. People are going crazy and we aren't doing anything at all to stop it.

I think everyone should hear this song. If not, look at the lyrics.

10/10 fosho

Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight Tonight

This is probably the best song on Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness. I bought that album in high school and when I listen to that song I remember specifics event of that period. That's what I like the most about memorable songs: they reminds me of special moments in my (young) life.

I really like the classical instruments in the song and they give a grandiose feel to the song.

If I Die Young - The Band Perry

On the face of it, it's probably quite a depressing song but I love the meaning behind it and some of the lyrics in it and very strong in my opinion and show the reality of life in that "Life ain't always what you think it ought to be" and neither should it be taken for granted so you should make the most of it whilst you can. Meaningful song.

Mother Earth - Within Temptation

The first WT song I ever heard, and easily my favourite. Some things just stick with you, and this song has stuck with me ♥

Born For This
Pararmore

To be honest, I'm actually listening to this song just to listen to the part where Hayley goes into a sort of undertone with the word 'victory'. It also happens to be my favorite part of the song, largely due to how it blends very well into the song.

That aside, I'm taking that as inspiration for myself... Or rather, as a sort of visualization with regards to my impending success. Heh heh.

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (Laika)

That's a really good song from Arcade fire. The instruments in it merge really well together. That music cheers me up. I don't really understand the meaning of the lyrics though; it might be someone that is moving away from his family but they also mention Laika and i wonder if that's a reference to that Russian dog that went into outer space in the 50's. Anyway, great song by a great band. I should really pick up (or download) their latest album and apparently it's really good.

the suburbs is really, really good. at first i thought it was a little boring, but after two or three listens it's on par with their other stuff. it has a brilliant 70s/80s synth pop feel about it. win butler describes it as 'sweeping nostalgia'.

wake up - arcade fire
a really hooking base line to start with, that carries on for the whole song. but despite that, it's really a serene song.

One Headlight - The Wallflowers.

I'm not sure, it's one of the songs released in 1997. I'm addicted to it but I've got no reason why. :P

if it's as good as what they have done previously, then I definitely need to listen it. Thanks for the short review, I'll try to find the torrent tonight.

Shiny Toy Guns - Don't cry out

I'm usually not fond of that kind of electro/dance/pop but Shiny Toy Guns is an exception. This song gives me a sad feeling and if my ex would have sang me a song to break up, she probably would have used the same lyrics.

The Cast of Freakazoid - We'll Meet Again

"And so ended a golden age in cartoons."

It was the show's finale, and allowing for the humor of it all, really the only way it could've ended; fireworks and everyone singing you through to the end credits.

Fuck I think I just teared up a little thinking about it...

Franz Ferdinand- Take me out

10/10. I always listen to this when I'm getting ready to go out somewhere... Its just a really fun song with a pretty decent beat...and the lyrics are awesome "Take me out" :awesome: No you girls is pretty decent too :hmmm:
