I still think it's the most epic thread ever especially because some people were offended by it. XD

What happend to it? What happened to Meiks?

The moon does exist. There's the sun, the earth, and the moon. We have a sun, do we not? And certainly an earth. So why not a moon?

I think there are just some people that make things more complicated than it really is. You don't have to believe them though. It's really pure logic, my friend.

The earth would spin much faster without its orbiting moon and that's because the earth's gravity pulls on the earth's oceans. I believe this was stated many times already. We'd then have a shorter day without a moon.
